My Celestial Ascension Chapter 877: A Monster

Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
Corvan returned to the Elven Kingdom with a group of gods but faced a devastating defeat against Yuan, who effortlessly slaughtered Corvan's companions. Corvan, the sole survivor, escaped and contacted the High Heaven for retrieval, while news of gods being killed spread across the continent. A rescue team found a traumatized Corvan, who then appeared before the God King in a state of despair.

A profound stillness engulfed the throne hall following the exit of the two lesser deities. The angels stood paralyzed, their limbs quivering with dread as the atmosphere thickened with an almost physical tension.

Corvan gradually shook off his stupor, feeling the crushing weight of the air—a suffocating pressure that brought back vivid memories of the man who had demolished his pride without so much as moving a muscle.

"Y-Your Highness... I have failed you..." Corvan bowed his head, consumed by grief and humiliation as tears tracked down his face. "I was utterly helpless to intervene..."

The King of the Gods offered no immediate reply. His features remained as frigid as ice, his gaze fixed unblinkingly on Corvan.

"Provide a comprehensive report—describe the events at the Elven Kingdom... and the number of divine casualties we sustained." The God King’s voice finally pierced the silence, sharp as a whetted blade.

"E-every one of them... we lost them all. Not a single soul survived that mortal... his cruelty knows no bounds!" Corvan replied with a shaking voice, his eyes reflecting pure despair as he looked toward the God King.

The God King’s composure cracked at this admission; his eyes widened in sheer disbelief.

"All of them are dead? That is impossible! We are speaking of gods, not some pathetic mortal! How could they all perish?!" He surged from his divine throne, his mind refusing to process the news.

"Your Highness, I implore you to believe me... every comrade who accompanied me is gone. I am the sole survivor..." Corvan let out a weary sigh, his gaze drifting toward the ceiling with the look of a broken man.

"That mortal—No! The term mortal no longer applies! He is a demon! A monster wearing a human face... the very devil incarnate! That is what he truly is!" Corvan cried out, clenching his teeth as he fought to suppress his surging emotions and fury.

For several minutes, Corvan went on to recount the tragedy in the Elven Kingdom. He detailed every moment and every gruesome sight exactly as it had unfolded.

Listening in stunned silence, the King of the Gods felt his shock grow with every sentence. He realized he had dangerously underestimated an entity capable of massacring gods without even lifting a finger.

While he was terrified by the mortal's raw power, the God King felt a spark of curiosity regarding the mysterious Cultivation the man utilized—

A power that snuffed out divine lives as easily as turning a hand.

A power far too potent for any mortal to possess.

A power that might eventually evolve into a threat even he could not suppress.

'This represents a critical issue for us... a formidable menace that continues to grow in strength...' The God King mused, his eyes falling to the floor.

He balled his hands into fists and ground his teeth in irritation. Rubbing his palm across his visage, he peered at Corvan through the gaps of his fingers.

"Were you able to identify the nature of the power that mortal—no, that monster—employed against your ranks?" he inquired, his tone deep and ominous, saturating the hall with dread.

"I assume you did not return to this hall entirely empty-handed... is that correct?"

Corvan’s body went rigid. He had anticipated this inquiry, but it came far too quickly while his mind was still in shambles.

"Y-Your Highness, that monster’s technique is... beyond comprehension. It is unlike anything I have encountered in all my years," Corvan stammered, his voice vibrating with terror. "He referred to this force as 'Killing Intent.' Beyond that name, I possess no further knowledge."

Pausing briefly, he added, "Based on his words... it appeared as though this power was a literal manifestation of his murderous will."

"What I saw was unnatural... totally defy logic. It is something outside my understanding—and it is terrifyingly dominant." Corvan gnashed his teeth as the memory struck his mind like a hot needle.

He grabbed his head, burying his fingers in his hair with a look of pure horror.

"That strength... it was not of this world. It felt alien. Even our divine enchanted armors were useless... I watched the impossible occur as all my brothers died to that force!" Corvan screamed, his voice breaking as he spiraled into a panic.

The God King was taken aback by Corvan’s state. The once-valiant Divine Knight was now a hollow shell, fundamentally broken in the span of a single night.

Several days had passed since the divine confrontation, and the Elven Kingdom had already bounced back from the disaster that nearly was.

The populace resumed their daily routines with a sense of relief, their hearts overflowing with gratitude upon hearing that Yuan had decimated the divine invaders. Consequently, the elves’ admiration for him reached new heights.

Within the royal palace, Mireya and Sylvia were busy collecting their things, choosing only items of sentimental worth. Most material goods seemed trivial to them now.

They already held enough wealth to live in opulence for eons. Should they require anything later, they would simply purchase it.

However, the Elven Kingdom was their home, and their emotional connection to the land remained strong. Yuan even contributed several thousand gold coins to fund the kingdom's new infrastructure.

His goal was to make this realm so powerful that no other nation would ever dream of threatening the Elven Kingdom again.

"Is Kitsura returning tomorrow?" Aisha asked, a gentle smile on her lips as she reclined against Yuan while sitting on his lap.

"That is the hope... she still has obligations to finish before resigning and choosing a successor to lead her people toward a bright future," Yuan answered with a soft sigh.

"Regardless, as soon as she is back, we will begin our trek to the Demonic Continent. We cannot afford more delays; we have lingered here long enough."

Aisha arched an eyebrow, studying him for a moment. She was puzzled by Yuan's urgency to reach the Demonic Continent.

'What draws him to such a blighted place? Is there a hidden treasure within the Demonic Continent? Perhaps a legendary spiritual artifact?' she wondered to herself.

A moment later, Vrasha walked into the room with heavy thuds. Given her massive frame, her footsteps were unmistakable—Yuan and Aisha knew it was her immediately.

"What are you two whispering about? Can I join the conversation?" she asked, flashing a wide grin as she stood before them.

"Of course. Take a seat, Vrasha," Aisha welcomed her. "We were discussing our departure from this land and our trip to the Demonic Continent."

"The Demonic Continent... I am actually quite thrilled. I have heard reports that the most terrifying races reside there." Vrasha spoke with pure zeal, her eyes burning with excitement.

With a confident smirk, she added, "I have heard the Vampire Clan makes their home there. A group of blood-crazed lunatics—parasites, if you ask me."

"Beyond the Vampires, there are the Undead, Ghouls, and Werewolves. These supernatural tribes govern the Demonic Continent. All of them bow to the Demon Emperor—the most powerful entity in that realm."

"They say his prowess is equal to a god, or perhaps even a pure-blooded Dragon. And it isn't just him—the entire demon race is notoriously powerful."

"I would love to test my mettle against a demon if the opportunity arises," Vrasha concluded with a fierce smile, looking toward Yuan.

"I suspect you will get your wish. Honestly, I doubt the demon race will know how to deal with you. But it will be an interesting experiment," Yuan said, nodding with a grin.

"Definitely!" Vrasha laughed softly.

A few moments later, Emma and Nyx entered. Both mother and daughter appeared radiant as they moved toward the seating area.

"Has Lady Kitsura still not arrived?" Emma asked Yuan, offering a warm smile before sitting at his side.

Yuan shook his head. "No. She isn't back yet. She promised to return by tomorrow, so she should be here then."

"I understand... So, when is our departure scheduled?" Emma inquired.

"The moment Kitsura returns, we set out," Yuan clarified. "Since we will be traveling by air, we won't need to waste any time."

"You will need to carry your mother until we reach the Demonic Continent. After all, she is not a Cultivator like the rest of us."

"That won't be an issue at all," Emma replied instantly with a smile.

Soon after Nyx and Emma arrived, Mireya and Sylvia walked in.

"We have finished our packing. We are ready to leave whenever you are," Sylvia said enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming.

"Excellent. We leave as soon as Kitsura gets back from her village," Yuan stated with a kind smile.

The following day, Kitsura made her return to the Elven Kingdom, keeping her word to Yuan and the group. She traveled light, as Yuan had previously provided her with a spatial ring.

She was dressed in a provocative red outfit that suited her perfectly. She was so stunning that Yuan found it difficult to look away from her captivating figure.

"Hehe~" Kitsura gave a flirtatious laugh and winked at him, clearly enjoying the attention.

"Yuan, be honest—how do I look?" She struck a tempting pose with a smirk and asked, "Am I beautiful?"

"You look absolutely breathtaking, Kitsura," Yuan admitted with a faint smile, though his gaze kept wandering toward her neckline.

"Fufu~ My, you certainly have a way with words, darling," Kitsura giggled, her voice sounding like sweet music.

"Well, shall we get going? We need to pass through the storms surrounding the Demonic Continent before night falls," Kitsura reminded them shortly after.

"We are all set. Let us move," Yuan replied with a nod, leading the group out of the palace.

Shortly thereafter, Yuan’s party moved toward the border of the Beast Continent, setting their sights on the Demonic Continent.

Meanwhile, deep within the forest shadows, several dark figures began to move the moment they observed Yuan and his wives departing the Elven Kingdom.
