My Celestial Ascension Chapter 872: Suddenly Unconscious
Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
After receiving Clara’s report regarding the city's recent events while she had been isolated in the subterranean training chamber perfecting a supreme magic spell, Morgana let out a quiet sigh.
"I had anticipated meeting the daughter of Nyx—the youth who decimated Cassius and his subordinates single-handedly... it is truly a shame they both vanished from the city so abruptly," she murmured, securing the newly developed spell within her magic pouch.
Returning to the primary office, Morgana observed Clara as she took her seat. A heavy, dark atmosphere filled the room, accompanied by an eerie stillness.
"Have you attempted to reach Darius? What was his perspective on this situation?" she inquired, pouring a steaming cup of tea.
"Lord Darius was contacted successfully. Regrettably, he is also in the dark regarding the current location of Lady Nyx and her daughter," Clara answered without delay.
She added, "He claimed to be exhausting every resource to find a trail, but his efforts have yielded nothing. It is as though Lady Nyx and her child simply dissolved into the air."
Morgana fell silent for a moment following Clara’s report, then exhaled heavily in clear frustration.
"How vexing... she departed without granting me even a word of notice. What a cold-hearted friend—utterly ruthless," she whispered before taking a sip of her tea.
"You are dismissed to oversee the current affairs... without supervision, the staff will do nothing but drink and squander the day," Morgana remarked after a brief pause.
"As you command, Mistress." Clara bowed and exited the office, the rhythmic clicking of her heels fading into the distance.
In Clara's absence, Morgana finished her drink and reclined on the sofa, her gaze fixed vacantly on the ceiling.
"To think that even Darius is unable to track Nyx and her daughter... his pride must be severely wounded," she noted with a faint smirk.
"Her disappearance is truly an enigma... where could she have fled? Why can nobody find her tracks?" she mused, her mind racing with possibilities of Nyx's hiding place.
Elsewhere, Darius was seething with rage as every lead concerning Nyx and her daughter proved to be a dead end. He began to doubt if they were even still present on the continent.
Suddenly, a startling thought occurred to him, causing his eyes to bulge in shock. He gulped nervously, weighing the terrifying possibility over and over.
"There is no way they would venture to that cursed continent... it is unthinkable..." he stammered, his voice shaking as cold sweat beaded on his forehead.
"C-Could they truly have traveled to the Demonic Continent? She wouldn't go there... everyone is aware of the lethal dangers surrounding that land!" His shout reverberated against the walls.
Yet, despite his denials, the suspicion that Nyx and her daughter had actually entered the Demonic Continent refused to leave his mind.
"But for what reason? Why risk the Demonic Continent? The perils are endless... and no soul has stepped onto that soil for over a century."
Darius spent hours in deep thought, yet he could find no logical justification for Nyx and her daughter to journey to such a desolate and fatal realm.
Suddenly, his secretary, Natalia, entered the room carrying a bundle of documents, a smile appearing as she saw Darius.
"Lord Darius, do you wish for the search for Lady Nyx and her daughter to continue?" Natalia asked softly, taking a seat beside him.
"Continue it," Darius commanded instantly. "There is a chance Lady Nyx and her daughter remain on this continent. To locate them, we must broaden our horizons."
"I shall notify our operatives immediately. Do not worry, my Lord—we will surely uncover something." Natalia smiled, preparing to leave.
"However, Lord Darius, do you have a theory on where she might be hiding?" she asked, arching an eyebrow.
"I am uncertain... but I suspect Nyx may have headed to the Demonic Continent with her daughter and that peculiar group," Darius stated solemnly after a long pause.
Gulp! Clara swallowed hard at his words, her eyes wide with shock. "That is impossible... it cannot be..."
"It is merely a theory; do not overthink it," Darius said with a gentle smile. "Furthermore, it is not our place to dictate their movements. Their path is their own."
"Even so... the idea is too surreal." Clara sighed, finding the concept difficult to grasp.
"I understand, Clara. But do you recall that group of stunning women who visited our base inquiring about the Demonic Continent?"
Clara paused to reflect before nodding. "I do. They were the most exquisite women I have ever encountered. Forgetting them would be an impossible task."

A flight of massive eagles cut through the firmament, the air vibrating under the force of their great wings. They projected a terrifying aura as they moved.
Each raptor bore four riders, seated upon opulent chairs fastened to the beasts. Every individual was draped in white robes adorned with gold trim and sacred patterns.
They radiated immense power, their faces remaining stoic and silent throughout the flight.
Each was equipped with a legendary weapon—artifacts capable of slaying SS-rank beasts in a single blow.
"This is the region where two of our lower-tier gods met a mysterious end. Their demise is shrouded in a veil that even His Majesty, the God King, was unable to see through," declared the leader, the god possessing the most crushing presence.
"While they were only minor gods whose lives were of little consequence to us, we cannot overlook that a being in this world has the power to kill divinity."
Upon hearing this, the group’s expressions grew grim. Veins throbbed on their brows; some balled their fists while others let out cold snorts of fury.
The leader pressed on, recognizing the insult and the threat—someone had dared to trample upon divine prestige.
"Our Lord has issued a single decree: seize the human who threatens the gods—and escort him to the High Heaven for sentencing."
He scanned his subordinates and raised his voice, "Is the objective of this mission clear to everyone?"
"We understand!" the group shouted in unison, their voices thundering through the clouds.
"Excellent." The leader nodded in approval. "Our target is the Elven Kingdom—the final location where those two minor gods were seen alive."
He continued, "My counsel to you: do not restrain yourselves for any reason when facing that human."
"Underestimating him will lead only to your graves. Furthermore, keep in mind—he possesses formidable comrades. Do not take them lightly either."
"Leader, what should be done about the commoners?" one god inquired.
"Since when have we concerned ourselves with mortal lives? Disregard them—as if they are non-existent. Our goal is the live capture of the human, regardless of the cost," the leader replied heartlessly.
The remaining gods nodded with conviction. Their mission was absolute: apprehend the mortal who challenged the heavens and bring him before the High Heaven.

"Darling, why are you lingering? Come and join me in bed," Anna Grace called to Yuan with a tender smile, her fingers making inviting, flirtatious motions.
The others had already settled into bed, feigning sleep, yet they were secretly monitoring the room with their Divine Sense, keeping a close watch on the unpredictable Anna Grace.
Yuan smiled and nodded, but as he moved toward the bed, he suddenly gripped his head, letting out a piercing cry as a sharp agony pierced his brain.
"Aaaaaaaaa!!!" Yuan screamed in pain, feeling as though a spike was being driven into his mind.
Moments later, his strength vanished—he lost consciousness and hit the floor with a dull thud.
"DARLING!!" Anna Grace shrieked in terror, springing from the bed to reach his side instantly.
"Darling! What is wrong?! Wake up! Please, don't do this...!" her voice cracked with panic and despair.
Mireya and the others bolted upright, rushing to gather around Yuan, their faces masked with confusion and fear.
"What has happened? Why is this occurring again?" Lily whispered, her voice shaking with anxiety.
"I-I have no idea... He just screamed and collapsed before he could reach the bed..." Anna Grace sobbed, cradling Yuan’s head in her arms, her eyes brimming with tears.
Meanwhile, the moment Yuan slipped into unconsciousness, he found himself standing in the heart of a savage conflict. Looking down, he realized he was holding a spear.
Both the weapon and his hands were soaked in warm blood; the metallic tang of slaughter filled his nostrils. Feeling something wet on his face, he wiped his cheek.
"Blood?? Where have I been sent this time? Why must this happen now?" he muttered, stunned by the surrounding carnage.
In every direction, warriors fought and bodies piled up; blood flowed like streams and the cries of war shook the firmament.
"Commander, the Celestial Emperor’s mangy dogs are retreating!" a man in black armor yelled, decapitating a soldier in gold armor with a single swing.
"Do not permit a single one to flee! Hunt them to the world's edge!" Yuan’s lips moved independently, and the voice that emerged was deeper and more battle-hardened than his own.
'Who is this Celestial Emperor? Was he a major power of the past?' Yuan wondered, as the name triggered a faint, unreachable memory.
"You heard the Commander! Let us hunt these cowards and slaughter them! Hahaha!" The black-clad soldiers roared with laughter, pursuing the golden-armored ranks.
"Retreat! Save yourselves! The reinforcements haven't arrived!"
The golden-armored men wailed as they fled the field, discarding their weapons in a desperate attempt to survive.
Suddenly, the wind surged as tens of thousands of golden-armored warriors descended from the sky, looking down upon the battle with utter disdain.
One of the black-armored warriors turned to Yuan with a fierce grin. "Commander, the Emperor’s reinforcements have finally shown up! Shall we begin the bloodbath?"
