My attributes are increasing infinitely Chapter 461: James Returned

As the passerby glanced his way, he spotted a remarkably attractive young man dressed in ragged attire right in front of him. The garments were frayed and soiled, yet they appeared to heighten his odd, disturbing appeal.
"Are you new to the city?" the man inquired.
"Yes," Ethan confirmed with a nod.
"That makes sense. Things weren't this calm here even a year back. But as soon as the new mayor stepped into office, the whole city transformed. The police began acting right. Every issue in the city got resolved within two months. It turned simple for folks like us to follow the rules. Those who didn't faced quick punishment. And look at the peace around us now."
The man uttered these words with admiration shining in his gaze, his tone filled with sincere appreciation.
"Really? The mayor sounds like an amazing individual," Ethan complimented.
The passerby bobbed his head enthusiastically.
"Thanks. Enjoy your day," Ethan replied, waving farewell to the man.
"So such a figure exists," Ethan mused while continuing his stroll. "Is he truly a hero as the man described, or is there something deeper? If he's a hero, he'd need a massively strong support system to turn a chaotic city this orderly in just one year."
Some time later, he made his way back to the slum. He required details on the mayor, and another idea had struck him—one that could generate substantial wealth and establish a lawful enterprise too.
"Yumiko, what are the world's most destructive illnesses at present without any cures?" he whispered. "And do the essential components exist globally to produce medications for those conditions?"
[Yes, master. All the required elements are available. Humanity simply hasn't discovered the formulas yet. Do you wish to develop some medicines?]
"Yes, that sounds perfect. Provide the formulas."
[Very well, master.]
Before long, Ethan obtained about thirty-five formulas for remedies capable of curing thirty-five ailments currently afflicting humankind.
The formulas included various plants. They featured minerals. Some called for organic components from specific beasts, birds, or sea creatures.
Ethan gathered all the details, memorizing the formulas completely, then summoned Drek.
"Sir, did you call for me?" Drek inquired respectfully upon arrival.
"Yes. Check out these materials. Can you arrange to acquire them?" Ethan passed him a sheet.
Drek accepted the sheet and stared at it in confusion. Apart from a couple of items, the rest were completely unfamiliar to him. Still, he refrained from asking questions.
"Sir, allow me to tap into our networks first. I'll update you soon."
Ethan stayed relaxed about it. Yumiko had already supplied him with the spots where every material could be sourced. Should Drek come up short, he'd share those spots.
"Also, discreetly probe into the mayor's history." He added this just as Drek was about to exit.
Drek halted and acknowledged with a nod.
"Understood, sir."
On the following morning, Ethan awoke to the gentle glow seeping through the dirty pane.
[Master: Ethan Hunt
Physique: 1.6 tonnes
Spirit: 1.6 tonnes
Talent: Infinite Comprehension]
His power had now exceeded James's. Moreover, with his spirit exceeding the one-ton threshold, he could employ telekinesis.
Ethan had barely risen from the bed when a knock sounded at the door. Using his improved perception, he checked the exterior. It was James.
Ethan grinned and swung the door open.
"Hey, James. How have you been?" he greeted.
James stared at him as if beholding a fiend. His eyes bulged, and his complexion drained under its typical bronze hue.
"You, you, you...," he stammered, words failing him as his lips moved without sound.
"Enter. Avoid straining your shoulder too much," Ethan advised, retreating to the bed.
James trailed after, his steps uncertain.
"What's happening here?" he managed to question once regaining his speech.
"I've assumed control of the gang," Ethan stated plainly. "Any issues with that?"
James didn't respond right away. He scrutinized Ethan closely, assessing him through a seasoned warrior's gaze.
"You've got mysteries," James remarked deliberately. "Did you use some genetic enhancement or similar?"
"No. What for?" Ethan replied, infusing his tone with a touch of arrogance. "Not even a level three force master can rival me."
James's expression grew grave upon hearing that.
"Are you familiar with martial artists?" James queried, his voice now cautious and deliberate. "Do you hail from a secluded clan?"
"I'm not," Ethan answered. "But I'm aware of them. I also realize you're a level three force master. So, tell me, James, what's your purpose here?" he inquired offhandedly.
Suddenly, James straightened rigidly, gazing at Ethan in sheer terror.
He attempted to feign ignorance.
"I have no idea what you mean," he claimed, rubbing his head with a faintly shaking hand.
"Who's the mightiest in your clan?" Ethan pressed, without even glancing his way. "Could they supply me resources for pills in return?"
James's eyes grew even larger. "Pills? You're knowledgeable about them too? Are you implying you can acquire them?" he demanded eagerly.
"I possess methods," Ethan affirmed. "How wealthy is your clan?"
James paused briefly, then his chest puffed with pride. "My clan ranks among the top ten wealthiest hidden families. Our fortune exceeds hundreds of billions."
"Excellent, then," Ethan responded, inclining slightly forward. "Here's a deal: You furnish the materials, and I'll craft various pills for you. I'll claim five percent of each pill's market price as compensation."
James's features darkened. "You claim you can produce pills? I figured you were in earnest."
"Huh? Why the sour look?" Ethan wondered aloud.
"Stop fooling around," James snapped, his tone now edged with irritation. "Pills are ancient relics unearthed from ruins. No modern tech can replicate those elixirs."
"That dire, is it?" Ethan queried, smirking. "Then fetch these materials. I'll demonstrate some wonder."
He presented James with a roster of plants and additional substances.
James examined the roster, his eyes flaring wide as he scanned it.
"All these are premium materials," he exhaled. "They'd run over a million Federation credits."
"Is that pricier than ten body-strengthening pills?" Ethan countered.
James gulped audibly, his throat bobbing.
"You're not tricking me, right?" he whispered hoarsely.
"Why not just procure those materials?" Ethan suggested. "Should I flop, you'd merely forfeit a million. But should I prevail, then..."
James fixed him with a prolonged stare, then nodded gradually.
"Fine," he agreed. "I'll deliver them within two days. Farewell."
With that, he departed, shutting the door gently behind him.
