My attributes are increasing infinitely Chapter 362: The desperate gods

Previously on My attributes are increasing infinitely...
Ethan, disguised as a newly ascended being, entered a city and conversed with Franklin, learning about dangerous monster-filled locations. His clone then traveled to the Arahan mountain range, where it swiftly eliminated over a million monsters, generating a massive amount of origin points. Ethan used these points in his time field to rapidly cultivate and break through to the 5th dimensional level, adding a fifth axis to his inner dimension.

Ethan’s power had already reached the level of a 13th dimensional being. Under normal circumstances, his breakthrough should have only elevated him to the 12th dimension.

Remarkably, he had skipped two entire stages in a single leap.

Yet, Ethan was in no mood to celebrate this achievement.

Closing his eyes once more, he resumed the process of absorbing origin energy.

After some time, a wide grin broke across his face.

Based on his calculations of the current absorption rate, he estimated that completing the 11th cycle would require approximately 10,000 points.

While this was ten times the energy needed for the first cycle, it was still a manageable amount.

If his energy requirements had scaled with a 2x multiplier, reaching a breakthrough using source energy would have been an impossible dream.

Even so, a tenfold increase per level was a massive jump. Deciding not to dwell on the daunting figures, he shifted his focus back to his comprehension session.

Meanwhile, in the world where Ethan’s clone resided, the avatar was being forcibly ejected from the 4th sanctuary.

Since the main body had ascended to the 5th dimensional level, the clone had naturally followed suit.

Consequently, he no longer met the requirements to remain within the transcended sanctuary.

He had only just finished clearing the Arahan mountain range when the breakthrough of his main body occurred.

The process had consumed fewer origin points than anticipated; the Infinite Ascension Sutra was truly an extraordinary technique.

"It looks like I have to replace my crystal again. I'm certain this is going to cause another stir."

But he had no other choice. If he intended to continue farming origin points, entering the higher sanctuary was a necessity.

Ethan used his teleportation to return to Earth, heading straight for the Earth Alliance headquarters.

"Hello, I am here for my Saint permission crystal."

The receptionist was jolted awake by those words. The term "Saint" carried enough weight to reshape the foundations of the universe, and someone had just uttered it casually.

The man hadn't even fully processed the rest of the sentence.

Looking up, the employee realized exactly who was standing before him.

It was the phantom pioneer of Earth.

Hadn't this man just collected a permission crystal yesterday? Why was he back so soon?

"Sir, my apologies. Could you please repeat that?"

"I said, I require the permission crystal for the Saint sanctuary," Ethan stated with calm composure.

The receptionist was at a loss for words. Had it been anyone else, he would have summoned security to drag the madman away.

However, the man before him was a transcended being and a recognized pioneer of Earth.

"Sir, would you mind waiting a moment? I must notify my superiors," the man said, bowing low.

Ethan understood the clerk's shock. Such a reaction was only natural; it would have been stranger if the man hadn't been stunned.

The receptionist hurried out of the room to contact his boss immediately.

"Sir, the phantom is here. And..."

He paused, struggling to find the words.

"And what? What has the phantom done now?" the voice on the other end demanded impatiently.

"Sir, he is requesting a Saint level permission crystal. How should I proceed?" the clerk finally blurted out.

"What? Are you drunk? Did you mishear him?" his superior shouted.

"No sir, I am perfectly sober and I heard him clearly."

Silence hung on the other end of the line for several seconds.

"Fine. Tell him to wait. I will inform the president of this development."

Having passed the responsibility upward, the receptionist felt a sense of relief.

He stepped back into the room.

"Sir, please be patient. I do not have the authority to issue a Saint level permission crystal. My superior is currently on his way." Despite his outward politeness, he didn't believe the request was legitimate.

How could a person reach the Saint rank only one day after becoming a transcended? He suspected the pioneer might have lost his mind in his old age. There was a high probability that the president—who was also a pioneer and Earth's most powerful Saint—would arrive to handle this personally.

The clerk waited, expecting a dramatic confrontation.

Ethan gave a simple nod.

"That's fine. Provide me with some books while I wait." He asked for something to occupy his time.

"Of course, sir."

The man handed over several books from his desk.

Half an hour passed.

Boom.

An overwhelming pressure suddenly descended upon everyone present. It wasn't an intentional display of force, but rather the natural aura radiating from a powerful presence, even when suppressed.

Every person in the Alliance building stood up instinctively. This pressure wasn't coming from just one source; it was the combined weight of four distinct entities.

All four Saints had arrived to see Ethan for themselves. They were deeply intrigued by this "phantom."

In the middle of this, only one man remained seated, calmly flipping through the pages of a book.

The receptionist noticed this but lacked the courage to say a word.

Five figures eventually entered the room.

One was the receptionist's boss, while the other four were the guardian gods of the planet.

Only when the entire group was inside did Ethan finally set his book aside and look up.

The moment Ethan’s gaze met the president’s, the president felt a sudden, chilling sense of mortal danger. He felt as though he was completely outmatched.

'What is happening? Even if he reached the Saint level, his aura shouldn't be this overwhelming, right?'

The other three Saints felt the same oppressive, silent weight.

"Greetings, Mr. Ethan. I am Julius Malema, President of the Earth Alliance. It is an honor to meet you. Here is your Saint permission crystal."

The president handed the crystal over without delay. He had come to verify the man's claims, and he was now certain that Ethan was telling the truth.

"I appreciate it, Mr. President. I would prefer if you kept this quiet; I'm not fond of the spotlight."

Ethan accepted the crystal and offered his thanks.

"Do not worry. We will maintain your privacy. But if I may, could I ask a question?" Julius inquired.

"Go ahead."

"Were you the individual responsible for wiping out the monsters in the Arahan mountain range within the fourth sanctuary?"

"Yes, that was me," Ethan answered simply.

The four of them were instantly frozen to the core.

Such a feat was impossible for a transcended being. It was undeniably the work of a Saint or someone even higher.

And yet, here he was, standing right before them.

"From this day forward, Earth will depend on your strength, Saint Ethan."

"Thank you. I will do what I can to protect our world."

Following a few more brief exchanges, Ethan departed from the Alliance hall.

He needed to enter the Saint sanctuary to begin farming source energy.

Inside his time field, Ethan had already finished the sixteenth cycle of the Infinite Ascension Sutra.

His comprehension of the source of existence had reached 1.6 percent.

However, he had exhausted all his origin points.

For now, he was forced to continue his comprehension manually.

"Master, I have successfully finished my second stage of evolution," Nini’s voice echoed in his mind.

"Excellent. Tell me, what new abilities have you gained?" Ethan asked with interest.

"Master, first, the time field can now operate at 100 times the normal speed. Second, my internal space has expanded by ten times."

"A hundredfold increase in time speed... that alone makes the investment worth it. What is required for your third evolution?" Ethan questioned.

"It will require 10 million strands of source energy."

"10 million? That is a staggering amount, but I will provide it. Just give me some time."

By this point, his clone had already crossed into the 5th sanctuary and was gathering intel on the local monsters.

Just as Ethan prepared to resume his cultivation, Ragnarok appeared once more.

"Young Master, those gods are attacking the barrier with everything they have. They are currently facing a crisis of life and death."
