Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2446: 217: Future Buddha Lord_4
Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
“King, Little Friend Wang?!”
“How, how could you possibly be present here?”
After catching that form of address, Wang Ba harbored no more uncertainties in his mind; a spark of delight surfaced on his features, and he nodded with evident pleasure:
“Master Xinyuan, as the saying goes, encounters in life are full of surprises… I hadn’t imagined running into you at this place.”
Buddha Tianyin displayed a touch of astonishment:
“You two are acquainted?”
Xinyuan paused briefly, his gaze shifting toward Wang Ba.
Wang Ba offered a grin and a nod, revealing the truth without reservation:
“Master Xinyuan and I hail from the same Little Cang World.”
Buddha Tianyin grasped the situation at once and let out a sigh:
“What a twist of destiny.”
True Man Gai, however, furrowed his brow faintly:
“Middle-stage Unification? Tianyin, even though your Buddhism utilizes the Enlightenment method, doesn’t this base seem overly fragile? Is it capable of managing this?”
Xinyuan appeared confused.
Yan Poluo, who had remained quiet until now, abruptly interjected:
“True Man, you’ve got it wrong; the future Buddha Lord isn’t Xinyuan.”
Both True Man Gai and Wang Ba were taken aback, their eyes unintentionally drifting toward Buddha Tianyin.
Buddha Tianyin gave a subtle nod, turned to Xinyuan, and inquired with a gentle smile:
“I instructed him to arrive, yet why did he summon you instead?”
Xinyuan, upon hearing this, felt a bit resigned but responded honestly:
“He mentioned his end was drawing near, that he required time to get ready, and requested I proceed ahead… to buy some moments.”
“Prepare?”
This revelation left everyone in the chamber momentarily dazed.
“The approach of this future Buddha Lord is quite… haha, out of the ordinary.”
True Man Gai found himself compelled to comment.
A wry grin crossed Buddha Tianyin’s face, as if he felt powerless regarding this future Buddha Lord.
Yan Poluo’s expression grew somewhat grave, laced with hidden unease, like he had recalled unpleasant matters.
For once, he voiced his concern:
“Buddha Lord, allow me to check on him.”
Buddha Tianyin dismissed it with a wave, showing great leniency, and replied smilingly:
“No need, leave him as he is for the time being.”
Yan Poluo halted at those words, his worry deepening on his countenance.
Wang Ba alone sensed an odd familiarity with this manner in his thoughts, coupled with an enigmatic foreboding…
And right then.
All present detected a shift, directing their attention beyond the hall.
There, the Nine Heavens resembled fractured stained glass, with golden lines extending like a web of spiders.
A silhouette in a gold-embellished Kasaya descended; layers upon layers of radiance cascaded elegantly from the celestial vault over Xumi Mountain, each footfall generating ripples of void shaped as Buddha motifs, a thousand-petaled Golden Lotus blooming underfoot, the Twelve Grade Lotus Platform ascending alongside the Nine Ringed Staff, the gem at the staff’s tip erupting in prismatic beams, transforming this minor realm into a sea of crystalline mirrors.
The All Heavens Buddha Country emerged as an outline amid the resonance of sacred chants, encircled by Eight Heavenly Dragons whose scales gleamed with Buddha’s glow, flanked by Vajra Warriors brandishing the Demon-Subduing Pestle on either side; the figure looked youthful, with lips red and teeth white, eyes resembling twinkling stars that seemed to see beyond deceptions.
He uttered calmly:
“Wonders of Wanxiang are but illusions, a single thought yields Bodhi.
A breeze sweeps across a thousand peaks, clouds drape low over countless valleys.
With a heart free of dust, what causes strife between good and evil?
The bright moon lights the endless cosmos, liberation feels like the Buddha himself.”
Yet these Buddha’s utterances rang like a colossal bell, shattering the Sky Dome, scattering myriad Shariputra relics through the heavens, each one mirroring the Pure Land of Extreme Joy in the emptiness, resembling a shower of gold descending to the ground, tinting the Three Thousand Miles of Sumeru Mountain in hues of colorful glass…
In that instant, be it within or without the hall, none could resist gazing upward, awestruck by the magnificent display.
This vision likely surpassed even the arrival of immortals from the Second Realm Sea.
Within the hall.
True Man Gai, filled with wonder, couldn’t suppress a chuckle as he said:
“This future Buddha Lord from your domain is genuinely, genuinely captivating.”
Though Buddha Tianyin possessed profound mental poise and cultivation, in front of his longtime companion at that moment, a trace of awkwardness appeared on his face:
“Haha, the innocence of youth, the innocence of youth…”
Yan Poluo’s face paled a little, his head bowed, silent, as though he yearned to vanish into the floor.
Xinyuan, seemingly used to such antics, could only cast a helpless, wry smile toward Wang Ba.
And seeing the Kasaya-clad figure, while absorbing the torrent of details streaming from the other into his consciousness, Wang Ba kept his face composed, yet inside, tides of joyful surprise surged:
“Well done! He really didn’t mislead me!”
“This goes beyond linking with The Heavens… such fortune, nearly entirely overshadowed by him.”
Their minds connected.
Behold, that gold-embellished Kasaya figure shone brilliantly, the young monk beaming as he descended gradually, borne by the Lotus Platform and Zen Stick; with a flick of his sleeve, the Eight Heavenly Dragons and Vajra Warriors scattered like startled creatures…
The young monk’s features twitched slightly, inwardly muttering a curse.
Luckily, his composure held firm, unperturbed; he positioned his palms together at his chest, offered a slight bow, and hailed Buddha Tianyin from a distance:
“Kong Zen, pays respects to the Buddha Lord, to the Chief, to True Man Gai, to…”
“Layman Taiyi.”
