Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2255: 152: Six Candles_4
Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
“The Canlong Realm?!”
Wang Ba’s realization hit him suddenly, and he found it impossible to mask his astonishment.
“Precisely.”
The white-robed elder kept his eyes fixed on the emerald jade staff clutched in Wang Ba’s hand. He nodded and explained:
“The Six Candle Stick of Tongyou represents the six fundamental Buddhist origins: ‘Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, Space, and Consciousness.’ It signifies that the entire Realm Sea is constructed from these six elements. As for the specifics, even I am not entirely certain. I only know that while the names of these six origins might overlap with the metal, wood, water, fire, and earth elements discussed by us cultivators, their true natures are fundamentally different.”
“However, this theory regarding the six great origins isn't universally accepted even within Buddhism. Consequently, very few in the Eastern Luli Buddha Realm actually focus their Cultivation on these six paths. Most remain like us, refining mana, comprehending the Dao Secret, manifesting a Dao Domain, and perceiving rules to eventually achieve Cultivation Ascension to The Heavens.”
“The six great origins… a system distinct from our own Cultivation…”
A look of deep contemplation crossed Wang Ba’s face.
In that moment, a memory flashed through his mind of the ‘walls’ at Immortal Pass. He recalled seeing those bizarre, utterly incomprehensible rules etched there.
He thought back to his clash with the Wisdom Magic Arhat. During the fight, he had been unable to determine if his foe was utilizing rules or a Dao Domain.
The confusion that had plagued him then began to dissipate as he vaguely grasped the underlying reason.
It was now evident that both the Immortal Pass and the Wisdom Magic Arhat employed a power system entirely separate from Dao Intention, Dao Domain, or standard rules.
Despite his own high level of mastery over rules, he had been unable to comprehend or pierce through it, leaving him feeling completely helpless.
Looking back, the Wind-Driving Staff is named ‘Wind,’ yet its power extends far beyond simple wind manipulation to influence all forms of transformation. Doesn't this prove that the Wind-Driving Staff and the ‘Wind’ found in their own Cultivation system are two entirely different concepts?
“If that is the case, wouldn't it be possible to force a breakthrough at the Immortal Pass if we secured the aid of a monk from the Eastern Luli Buddha Realm?”
This was the first thought that entered Wang Ba’s mind.
However, a new question immediately followed, and he looked at the old man in white with curiosity:
“Then what about the Silkworm Dragon Staff?”
“That staff should represent ‘Consciousness,’” the elder in white answered.
Understanding dawned on Wang Ba:
“Then the one held in the Eastern Luli Buddha Realm must be either ‘Space’ or ‘Fire.’”
“It is ‘Space.’”
The old man in white stole a glance at Wang Ba, sensing that the youth might already know the location of the ‘Water’ staff. He offered a reminder:
“Should the opportunity arise, my young friend, you might consider traveling to the Eastern Luli Buddha Realm. The Heavenly Fortune Buddha Master and I share a close bond; he might be able to assist you in wielding these two Dao Treasures with greater efficacy…”
Wang Ba gave a nod of acknowledgment. The idea had crossed his mind, yet he knew that the hearts of men are fickle. While Heavenly Monarch Chao might not covet these two jade staffs, there was no guarantee others would show such restraint.
He couldn't help but look down at the Silkworm Dragon Staff in his grip. He felt puzzled as to why its naming convention differed from the others and wondered what properties this ‘Consciousness’ actually possessed.
“The Six Candle Stick of Tongyou has not been seen for ages, yet now two have appeared simultaneously. It suggests the Realm Sea is headed for great turmoil, bringing its own omens with it…”
The white-robed elder sighed as he gazed at the Wind-Driving and Land-Cleaving Staffs.
Wang Ba didn't feel much reaction to these words, but the elder suddenly seemed to recall something. He scrutinized Wang Ba once more, his eyes flickering with a strange light. Suddenly, he spoke, catching Wang Ba completely off guard:
“My young friend, would you have any interest in joining my Canlong Realm?”
