Living In Another World With A Farm Chapter 8330: Goal (1)

Following the destruction of the Bloody Sea Alliance, the Blood Slaughter Sect faces a critical shortage of experts to secure its newly vacant territories. While senior disciples struggle to offer viable solutions, Lei Gang turns to Zhao Hai for a strategic perspective on the crisis. Zhao Hai proposes a radical plan to merge ownerless islands to consolidate power and establish a fortified defensive line. This strategy aims to create a buffer zone against rival sects while providing a structured path for lower-level disciples to eventually reclaim the sea areas. Recognizing the brilliance of the proposal, Lei Gang rushes to present the idea to the sect's high leadership.

After exiting the House of Three Talents, Shen Nanzheng promptly stopped Zhao Hai. Speaking in a heavy tone, he said, "Little Hai, come with me. We need to have a private conversation at my place." Zhao Hai, having no reason to decline, followed him back to his primary killing yard. The two of them entered alone, with no attendants following behind.

Once they were settled inside the room, Shen Nanzheng fixed his gaze on Zhao Hai. "Little Hai, the suggestion you offered today seems to have some flaws. Do you have a different objective in mind?" Shen Nanzheng was concerned about the logistics of Zhao Hai's plan, particularly the idea of placing weaker disciples in control of an Island.

Zhao Hai gave a light smile. "No, it was just a suggestion. A defensive perimeter requires more than just a few strongholds; we also need outposts for communication. Furthermore, if this line of defense is established, we can use it as a base to expand outward. Wouldn't that be advantageous?" He maintained a calm smile while looking at Shen Nanzheng.

Shen Nanzheng stared at him for a moment before letting out a sigh. "Never mind, I won't press you further. Little Hai, always remember that this Sect is your home and we are your family. If you ever require anything, do not hesitate to ask. You have provided us with immense help over the years. If there is an opportunity, allow us to return the favor. Understood?"

Zhao Hai couldn't suppress a laugh upon hearing Shen Nanzheng's sincere words. "Alright, I understand. Senior Brother Shen, please don't worry. If I truly need assistance, I will certainly come to you. I should head back now; I haven't had the chance to inspect the metal puppets we recovered. I need to examine them thoroughly." Shen Nanzheng nodded in agreement, and Zhao Hai took his leave.

Meanwhile, Lei Gang had gone to meet Ha Jing to report Zhao Hai’s proposal. Ha Jing reflected on the matter for a short while before nodding. "That is a sound concept. I will bring this to the Great Elder." With that, he departed to find Du Wan Sha.

When Du Wan Sha heard the details from Ha Jing, he was initially pleased, but then he suddenly broke into laughter. "This boy possesses quite the ambition, hahahaha." Ha Jing was left bewildered by the reaction, not catching the hidden meaning behind the Great Elder's words.

Noticing Ha Jing's confusion, Du Wan Sha explained with a smile, "I am referring to Zhao Hai. The boy is very calculating. He suggested letting weaker disciples oversee those islands so that if they become Island Owners in the future, they can integrate their territories into the defense line. In truth, he was laying the groundwork for himself. He desires his own Island but knows his Cultivation isn't high enough yet, so he devised this scheme. It is a clever method, nonetheless."

Ha Jing was stunned by this revelation. "He wants to rule his own Island? How can that be? He is only at the profound Qi realm; how could he possibly manage an Island? Is the boy mad? First Elder, surely you aren't considering agreeing to this? Are we actually going to grant him an Island to govern?"

Du Wan Sha smiled faintly. "And why not? I see great potential in that boy. He wants a domain of his own where his word is law, which is a fine ambition. He has performed so many meritorious deeds that I am struggling to find an appropriate reward. Let us do as he suggested: establish islands managed by weaker disciples. The other islands will require Sect disciples to be stationed there, but Zhao Hai’s Island will be his alone. He can decide who joins him. If he wants it private, so be it. I will grant him a piece of territory that is entirely his to see what he can achieve with it."

Ha Jing was momentarily speechless, but he soon grasped Du Wan Sha’s intent. The plan involved creating islands managed by disciples who hadn't reached the required strength yet. If these disciples eventually became true Island Owners, their personal islands would be linked to the defensive line. Normally, the Sect would keep these islands under strict oversight by sending monitors.

However, Zhao Hai would be the exception. The Sect would not station anyone to watch over him. If Zhao Hai wished to keep everyone else away, he had the right to do so. It was essentially gifting him an Island outright—a privilege never before granted to a mere True Disciple. It was a staggering reward.

After some thought, Ha Jing withdrew his objections. As Du Wan Sha noted, Zhao Hai’s contributions were massive, especially recently. Beyond the feat of stealing the saber, discovering the metal puppets and the inheritance of the Spiritual Array Sect were monumental achievements. When combined, an Island seemed like a fair price. Furthermore, Zhao Hai had proven his loyalty to the Blood Massacre Sect. Giving him territory was not a risk.

Ha Jing nodded and said, "Very well, but are you not concerned about being able to restrain him in the future? If he grows powerful enough, he might become another Bai Xin." Ha Jing said this to probe Du Wan Sha’s thoughts, as he personally trusted Zhao Hai but wanted to ensure the Great Elder had considered the risks.

Du Wan Sha shook his head, smiling. "I do not believe he is like Bai Xin. If his strength ever reaches that level, his status will far surpass what Bai Xin ever had. If he truly chose to rebel, even we old fogies might not be able to stop him. The boy is far more intelligent than Bai Xin. Look at how he handled the corpses of the traitors; he collected them to refine into Battle Corpses using the techniques of the Corpse Demon Sect, yet he didn't touch the remains of the Island Lords or Bai Xin. This proves he isn't blinded by greed and knows his limits. He respected the fact that they were once pillars of our Sect. A man who knows when to show respect and when to retreat is rare. Even if he becomes powerful, he will know that being an Elder in the Blood Massacre Sect is better than being a rogue leader outside."

Ha Jing was aware of Zhao Hai’s actions regarding the corpses. While the strongest Battle Corpses could be made from the high-level experts, Zhao Hai had refrained. This restraint showed he understood the political and moral weight of his actions.

Ha Jing nodded solemnly. "Fine, if your mind is made up, give him the Island. I won't object. Truthfully, I am very fond of the boy. Even though his techniques differ from the mainstream, he is the most talented student I have ever guided. I am proud to see him carry on my teachings."

Du Wan Sha smiled, then let out a heavy sigh. "This recent crisis has cost us dearly. We lost too many experts. Zhao Hai's suggestion might help us raise a new generation of powerhouses more quickly, which we desperately need. Have you noticed? Our Blood Massacre Sect lacks fresh talent. There are few elite experts in the generation following us. This bodes ill for our future. We must begin cultivating new blood immediately."

Ha Jing nodded in agreement and sighed. "There were several promising disciples years ago, but they all met untimely ends. In hindsight, we were too lax. Their deaths were suspicious, much like the disappearance of Yin Wuchang. Yin Wuchang was at the pinnacle of the Blood Sea Realm; how could he simply vanish? I suspect he is hiding, but only the other top ten Sects could provide a hiding spot we couldn't find. This suggests he may have been a mole for a long time, and the betrayal of Bai Xin likely traces back to him. What are your thoughts?"

Du Wan Sha nodded. "Indeed, the matter of Yin Wuchang is troubling. Perhaps we should activate some of our deep-cover agents to investigate. We might uncover the truth." The agents he referred to were spies embedded deep within the other Great Sects, individuals holding high ranks whose identities were kept secret for the most dire circumstances.

Ha Jing shook his head. "I advise against it. Moving those assets now risks exposing them for little gain. Our situation is difficult, but not yet desperate. It isn't worth losing our hidden eyes. Let us wait. For now, we should ensure the Sect remains vigilant. If the other Sects make a move, we must be ready to strike back."

Du Wan Sha nodded. "And what of the Secret Realm? We've confirmed it holds the legacy of the Divine Secrets Sect. In their prime, they were as powerful as the Blood Massacre Sect before the Cloud Sea Realm destroyed them. Their inheritance is priceless. Even if we can't replicate their strongest puppets, even the basic ones would provide us with an incredible advantage."

Ha Jing agreed. "The Sect must study those findings carefully. However, we should wait until the situation in the Secret Realm is fully stabilized. It lies directly beneath Blood Shadow Island and belongs to us. There is no rush to explore it until our internal affairs are settled."
