Living In Another World With A Farm Chapter 8281: Strange _1

Previously on Living In Another World With A Farm...
Zhao Hai, Zhao Wuji, and Yan Bei continued their journey through the spiritual array safe zone. Zhao Hai detected a battle ahead and questioned Zhao Wuji about saving fellow sect members, revealing the complex ethics of their world. When it was discovered the combatants included a Giant Demon Sect disciple fighting someone from the Yin Yang Sect, Zhao Wuji decided against intervention. The conversation then shifted to their own shared experiences of ostracization within their respective sects, leading to a deeper understanding and strengthening of their alliance.

A short time later, dozens of silhouettes emerged before Zhao Hai and his companions. Zhao Hai remained stationary, watching the approaching group with a faint smile. They eventually halted about ten meters away. Though these individuals were elite disciples from various Sects, each possessing a formidable presence, Zhao Hai’s attention was immediately captured by one specific man.

This individual clad himself in a long, moon-colored robe and projected a gentle, refined air. Nevertheless, Zhao Hai felt a wave of intense discomfort upon seeing him. Zhao Hai was certain this wasn't a mere trick of the mind; the man's body radiated a profound yin energy. This was no ordinary Yin Qi, but rather the Yin Qi of a ghost. It suggested he either carried a powerful spirit or practiced a terrifying ghostly Cultivation technique. Piecing this together, Zhao Hai could roughly deduce the man's identity.

The man observed Zhao Hai with a calm gaze. After a moment, he spoke, "Are you Zhao Hai? Were you the one responsible for shattering the restriction there?" His voice was pleasant and deep with a magnetic quality. Combined with his handsome features, he didn't give off the impression of a villain at all.

Zhao Hai met his gaze and smiled, "Yes, I am Zhao Hai. Might I ask who you are?" Zhao Hai studied him closely. He truly didn't know the man's name and was genuinely curious. He suspected the man held a high status within the Corpse Demon Sect, but since his knowledge of that Sect was limited, he remained inquisitive.

"You don’t know me?" the man asked, his voice dropping an octave. "Do you truly not recognize me?" He seemed to find the situation humorous, as if being unknown to someone was a staggering piece of news. This left Zhao Hai quite puzzled, and he looked at the man with a bewildered expression, failing to grasp the significance.

Realizing that Zhao Hai’s ignorance was genuine, the man’s eyes sparked with interest, as if he had discovered a new toy. He then shifted his gaze toward Yan Bei and Zhao Wuji. The expressions of those two shifted instantly, their faces filled with visible shock as they stared at the man.

Noticing their reaction, Zhao Hai turned back to his companions. It was clear they recognized this person. He couldn't help but feel intrigued; this man's identity was evidently significant for Yan Bei and Zhao Wuji to react so drastically.

The man chuckled at Zhao Hai’s reaction before turning back to Yan Bei. "It appears you recognize me, don't you? Why don't you explain to him who I am? What do you say?" He offered Yan Bei a warm smile, but the sight of it caused Yan Bei to recoil in alertness. He looked as though he had just come face-to-face with a demon.

Steadying himself, Yan Bei turned to Zhao Hai and said, "Junior Brother Zhao Hai, this is the personal disciple of the Corpse Demon Sect’s Sect Master. He is also a direct blood relative, the Corpse Demon Young Master, Li Ruohai." By addressing him as 'Junior Brother' rather than 'Little Hai,' Yan Bei signaled the gravity of the introduction.

Zhao Hai nodded in acknowledgment before looking back at Li Ruohai. "So it is Young Master Li Ruohai. I wonder why Young Master Li has blocked our path?" Zhao Hai had indeed heard tales of the Corpse Demon Young Master. As a blood relative of the Sect Master, he was considered the most gifted of his kin. It was rumored that his talent was initially hidden, resulting in slow Cultivation. However, once the Sect Master personally identified his potential and granted him a specific set of techniques, his progress became explosive. In just two years, he had reportedly climbed from the Dharma Reserve realm to the Dharma Essence realm, and was now nearing the Dharma Cultivation realm. His talent was undeniable.

Yet, it wasn't just his talent that made Li Ruohai famous. While geniuses existed in every Sect, Li Ruohai was notorious for his extreme cruelty. Since beginning his path, he had reportedly slaughtered over a thousand cultivators. None died quickly; he tortured every single one. Most horrifyingly, he would refine their corpses into battle slaves and force them to murder their own loved ones. His viciousness was enough to make anyone's skin crawl.

His behavior had eventually crossed a line when he murdered the disciple of an Elder from the Liujia Sect, a mid-tier Sect. That Elder was an expert at the Island Lord level and the disciple was his own flesh and blood. The Elder personally intervened to punish Li Ruohai, wounding him though stopping short of taking his life.

Under normal circumstances, this would have been the end of it. Even as the Sect Master's relative, Li Ruohai couldn't act with total impunity, especially since the Corpse Demon Sect didn't rule the Blood Sea Realm alone. Furthermore, the Elder had shown restraint by only injuring him.

To the world's shock, the Sect Master of the Corpse Demon Sect flew into a rage. He mobilized his Sect’s army to assault the Liujia Sect. While the targeted Sect tried to defend itself, the Corpse Demon Sect issued an ultimatum: surrender the Elder or face total extermination.

Driven to a corner, the Liujia Sect handed over the Elder. The Sect Master personally executed him, refined him into a battle corpse, and gifted the remains to Li Ruohai. He did this with total disregard for the political fallout among the other Great Sects.

This incident catapulted Li Ruohai to infamy. Throughout the Blood Sea Realm, his name became a shadow that no one dared to cross. The title 'Corpse Demon Young Master' became a warning: he was the untouchable prince of his Sect.

This was why Zhao Hai knew the name. However, Zhao Hai sensed something was off about the story. He suspected Li Ruohai's importance wasn't just due to blood relations; there had to be another reason the Sect Master would risk so much to protect him. He never expected to cross paths with such a figure, let alone be surrounded by him.

After observing Li Ruohai’s state, Zhao Hai had a hunch about the man's true situation. Feeling no fear, he questioned why he was being stopped. Li Ruohai seemed momentarily stunned by Zhao Hai's composure. He narrowed his eyes and asked, "You have actually heard of my name?"

Zhao Hai smiled. "I have heard of you, certainly. Li Ruohai, the Young Master of the Corpse Demon Sect. How could I not? I simply wonder why you are obstructing me?" The total lack of deference in Zhao Hai’s tone left the onlookers speechless. They stared at him, unable to comprehend his lack of fear.

Li Ruohai suddenly erupted into laughter. "Interesting, truly interesting. It has been a long time since anyone dared to speak to me in such a manner. Brat, you certainly have courage." Despite the laughter, his eyes remained frigid. He was clearly incensed.

Zhao Hai’s smile widened. "Do you wish to know why I speak to you this way? I see no point in being polite to a man who is already at death's door. Furthermore, I think I know why you are here. Hahaha, Li Ruohai, I suggest you stop this futile effort and retreat. If the Sect Master ever discovers your true situation, I doubt he would let you die even if you begged for it."

The crowd was paralyzed by Zhao Hai’s words. They looked at him as if he were a madman. This was the man for whom the Corpse Demon Sect would start a war, yet Zhao Hai was speaking to him like a doomed subordinate. Did he have a death wish?

Li Ruohai’s face darkened instantly. He glared at Zhao Hai and hissed, "Zhao Hai, what are you implying? It seems you truly are tired of living!" Though his voice was icy, Zhao Hai caught a flicker of panic in his eyes. His composure was cracking.

Zhao Hai replied calmly, "Young Master Li, you don't believe me? Truthfully, I have no desire to be your enemy. It would be best if you didn't act as though you've already won, otherwise, things will get ugly for everyone." Despite the polite phrasing, the words were a direct provocation. No one had ever dared to address him this way.

Li Ruohai’s eyes flashed with murderous intent and he snorted. "You arrogant fool. I will take your life today. I'll teach you that there are people in this world you cannot afford to offend." With a wave of his hand, the cultivators behind him snapped out of their shock and charged toward Zhao Hai.

Zhao Hai looked at the charging mob and sneered at Li Ruohai. "You are on the verge of death, yet you still come out to stir up trouble. If I were in your shoes, I’d be looking for a good family to be reincarnated into. Do you honestly believe the Spiritual Array Sect’s Yin Soul Formation technique can save you? You truly don't know your place, daring to plot against that Senior!" Zhao Hai’s voice was quiet, yet it carried to everyone present. However, the meaning behind his words remained a total mystery to the crowd.
