Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2010 Chapter 966: Mine_2

Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
After manipulating Young Master Xuan’s perception, Mo Hua successfully seizes the Dragon Vein and attempts a swift escape. Though the infuriated Young Master Xuan nearly overtakes him using a bizarre blood-light technique, Master Gu and Fan Jin intervene to shield Mo Hua from the Golden Core expert. Despite Young Master Xuan’s claims that the Great Wilderness Dragon Vein is useless to those without royal blood, Mo Hua refuses to surrender his prize. Faced with this stalemate, Young Master Xuan turns to the wounded Elder Xiong, offering a forbidden diagram in exchange for help in reclaiming the artifact.

Elder Bear was the only individual who remained relatively unscathed.

His injuries were limited to the loss of a single hand. As a demon cultivator, his robust blood qi allowed for rapid regeneration, meaning his physical state wasn't particularly dire.

After a moment of contemplation, Elder Bear positioned himself in front of Young Master Xuan. His towering frame was a terrifying sight, his skin intricately marked with a fusion of bear and snake patterns, radiating a chaotic and suffocating aura of demonic power.

The sheer pressure emanating from him made Master Gu and Fan Jin’s scalps tingle with dread. Even a heavily injured demon cultivator at the late Golden Core stage was far beyond their ability to handle; they could only clench their teeth and tighten their hold on their magic treasures, prepared to give everything they had.

Suddenly, Mo Hua let out a mocking laugh and addressed the Bear Demon Cultivator:

"Fool, you are being played for a sucker without even realizing it."

Elder Bear flared with rage at being insulted by a mere Foundation Establishment cultivator like Mo Hua, yet he maintained enough composure to growl: "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Mo Hua replied, "He already admitted it—treasures like the Dragon Vein are worthless to anyone lacking the royal bloodline of the Great Wilderness."

"Should you seize the Dragon Vein, you'll be forced to hand it over to him. If he decides to betray you later, you'll have no recourse."

"If he dares to betray me, I will slaughter him," Elder Bear stated flatly.

Mo Hua sneered in response, "He is a direct scion of the Mystic Demon Sect, shielded by their ancestor. If you strike him down, you'll spend the rest of your life fleeing the Mystic Demon Sect’s wrath. Have you truly weighed the consequences?"

Elder Bear fell into a grim silence.

Mo Hua pressed on, "Furthermore, there is something else..."

"He openly confessed just now that he used blood poison to plant a devil in your Taoist Heart. You cannot trust a single word that comes out of his mouth."

"By planting that devil in your Taoist Heart, he gains the power to warp your senses, tricking you into believing his lies are the absolute truth."

"Naturally, you would end up obeying his commands without a second thought."

"Look inward and reflect carefully. Ask your own soul if what I’m saying rings true..."

Mo Hua’s voice carried a haunting quality as he patiently manipulated the giant's thoughts.

Fuming with internal rage, Young Master Xuan let out a cold bark of laughter, "You little brat, what kind of drivel are you spewing?"

"Do not interrupt me," Mo Hua snapped, "unless you want to prove your own guilt."

"You..." Young Master Xuan found himself momentarily speechless.

Frowning, Elder Bear began to look inward. He felt that Mo Hua’s logic was... surprisingly sound.

Since Young Master Xuan had admitted to planting a devil in his Taoist Heart, he was inherently untrustworthy.

However...

Elder Bear shifted his suspicious gaze toward Mo Hua and muttered:

"While Young Master Xuan is a liar, you are a slippery little brat. I have no reason to trust you either."

"Besides, you belong to the Taixu Gate, the same sect as that man named Xun."

"I harbor a mountain of blood feuds against the Taixu Gate. One day, I will wipe every last one of them out."

Mo Hua adopted a look of pure confusion. "What do your grudges against the Taixu Gate have to do with a lowly Foundation Building disciple like me?"

"I am merely at the Foundation Building Realm. What possible enmity could exist between us?"

Elder Bear paused, caught off guard.

The boy had a point...

The destruction of the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons had been orchestrated by that Sword Cultivation Elder, Xun, leading a squad of Golden Core experts.

Similarly, the Mystic Demon Sect at Yanluo Mountain had been besieged because Xun Ziyou collaborated with the Court Officials to surround them.

These were strategic moves made by the Taixu Gate’s high-ranking leadership and carried out by their elite Golden Core Elders.

Ordinary Foundation Establishment disciples, who spent their days studying within the sect walls, were disconnected from such politics and were simply swept up in the aftermath.

Elder Bear gave a slow, slight nod.

It never even crossed his mind that the true mastermind behind the conflicts at both the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons and Yanluo Mountain was the innocent-looking, clever little Taixu Gate disciple standing right in front of him.

Seeing Elder Bear’s resolve soften, Mo Hua immediately struck while the iron was hot:

"Everything has a priority. You can settle your score with the Taixu Gate later. Right now, the most important thing is for you to actually gain the benefits you desire."

Elder Bear’s brow furrowed. "And you think you know what I want?"

Mo Hua nodded confidently. "You seek the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation Map, and I am the only one who can assist you."

"You? Help me?" Elder Bear scoffed.

Mo Hua gestured toward the monstrous patterns etched into the man's flesh and explained:

"In your greed for more demonic power, you forcibly grafted two distinct sets of powerful monster patterns together."

"While the fusion of the boa and the bear generates immense demonic force, the underlying formations are fundamentally broken, placing a lethal strain on your physical body."

"This is why you crave the Dragon Pattern—to dominate these two conflicting patterns, allowing the boa to evolve into a flood dragon, and the flood dragon into a true dragon..."

"But this is no simple task. Without the guidance of a Formation Master skilled in the Four Symbols Formation, you won't just fail to reach the dragon stage—you won't even be able to stop the boa and bear patterns from tearing you apart."

Elder Bear was visibly shaken. "You actually understand the Four Symbols Formation?"

Mo Hua replied with feigned modesty, "I know a thing or two about it."

Elder Bear hesitated, eventually shaking his head. "Impossible. There is no way a child like you could grasp the complexities of the Four Symbols Formation..."

He was well aware of the formation's secret origins and knew it wasn't something a commoner could stumble upon.

Mo Hua thought for a second before saying, "Tell me, do you suffer from stabbing pains at your Dachui, Fengmen, and Xinshu acupoints on your back?"

The color drained from Elder Bear’s face.

Mo Hua had hit the mark perfectly. "That is the result of your ignorance. By forcing the boa and bear patterns together, you've caused the formation pivot to shift and the patterns to clash violently."

Elder Bear’s eye twitched. Recognizing that this young disciple possessed genuine expertise, his skepticism began to evaporate.

Unable to stay quiet any longer, Young Master Xuan finally shouted: "Elder Bear, do not let this brat manipulate you!"

Mo Hua shot back, "You are the one doing the manipulating. At least I don't go around planting devils in people's Taoist Hearts; I deal only in the truth."

Mo Hua spoke with such unwavering conviction that it was hard to doubt him.

Young Master Xuan sputtered, finding himself unable to offer a coherent rebuttal.

Elder Bear looked at the scheming Young Master Xuan and then at the honest-faced Mo Hua. After calculating his best interests, he silently turned his back on the Young Master and stood once more as a shield for Mo Hua.
