Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 482 - New Quest

Previously on Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System...
Noah's senses stirred with an elusive familiarity upon hearing the name "The Merchant," a figure from the Universe of Ascendancy whose physical weakness belied immense power through vast treasures, subordinates, and alliances spanning Principalities—enough to orchestrate the downfall of their own Principality without direct combat. Light revealed speculations that their Principality had stolen something vital from Ascendancy, fueling the conflict, though details remained uncertain. Driven by rising indignation and a sense of rivalry, Noah declared his ambition to claim the role of Principality for the Primus Universe, securing Light's pledge of non-opposition and learning that swift ascension required obtaining Authority from the Spirit World's Origin Will.

"The quickest method involves acquiring the Authority directly from the Origin Will of the Spirit World, ruler over every Principality."

Noah along with his wives squinted their eyes, picturing a force surpassing Principality level. His wives struggled to envision it. Noah, however, managed to speculate somehow.

Yet at that moment, an idea sparked in his thoughts.

Folks claimed the Spirit World reached the Divine realm tier. Still, no matter how deeply Noah pondered it, that simply didn't add up.

The Spirit World contained not just a single universe, but many more besides. Each connected via their Principalities.

How could something so vast merely rank at Divine? Surely a higher realm existed beyond it.

But what exactly was it?

Noah shook off his head, pushing aside those notions, and turned his attention back to Light, who hadn't finished speaking yet.

"That's the quickest path," Light explained, "yet also the hardest. For starters, my friend, I'm unsure how you'd even arrange a meeting with The Will. Not claiming it's out of reach, but I've never seen it occur. And I prefer not to trust tales my own eyes haven't confirmed."

"That's rather narrow-minded." Yuki piped up.

"Did somebody speak?" Light inquired, glancing about, "Hmm? Nobody? Alright, probably just the breeze."

Yuki's veins throbbed visibly. Elira held back a grin, as Noah pretended not to notice a thing.

Light went on steadily,

"Moving forward, my friend. I mentioned the initial hurdle. As for the next, suppose by some stroke of luck, The Will agrees to an audience..."

The Soul Ruler's tone dropped, his gaze sharpening,

"What guarantees IT would grant you Principality status? IT could simply eliminate you instead. Frankly, that's the probable result."

"All this turns your supposed quick route into possibly the longest and just as perilous," Noah remarked.

"Exactly, my friend." Light gave a casual shrug, "It's swift solely if The Will plays along. Perhaps you're not aware, but The Will rarely cooperates, my friend."

"These concerns are pointless." Yuki cut in abruptly once more, drawing stares from the group. Unfazed, she raised her right hand and aimed her index finger toward Noah.

Her gesture seemed to slice through reality itself.

"Noah possesses this troublesome yet entertaining tendency to draw the gaze of mighty

beings." She went on, causing Noah's mouth to quirk and Elira to chuckle,

"He's like a lodestone."

"Is that accurate?" Light cocked his head, eyeing Noah.

Suddenly, he nodded as if a realization dawned,

"You strike me as that type." He conceded, "Though this situation differs."

"No worries." Noah replied, rising to his feet at last.

He straightened tall, extending his frame with such force that popping noises, resembling the crack of splitting wood, echoed across the chamber.

A sigh of satisfaction escaped him, then he refocused, placing his hands at his hips. He lifted his chin, his thoughts wandering in various paths.

"I have a final query." Noah stated following moments of quiet, "What details do you have on the original Soul Ruler?"

"Hmm?" Light murmured, "You refer to Shadow?"

His wings beat with increased fervor.

"Correct." Noah affirmed, gaze still fixed skyward.

"Shadow remains an enigma." Light dismissed with a shrug, "I suspect few know anything beyond her being female. And even that's up for debate, my friend, since no one's laid eyes on her."

"That said..."

Light abruptly shifted focus to Elira, prompting the Paragon of Soul to furrow her brow right away, her eyes tightening.

"...can't explain it, dear friend, but she reminds me of Shadow. No clue why. Just sensing parallels."

"Parallels how?" Elira demanded, her words laced with strain.

"No idea." Light replied indifferently, tone even, "I only sense you two share a vibe."

His impassive delivery paired with his disinterested manner fueled Elira's urge to tear into him.

Light was aware. And he mocked her blatantly.

"Is she a threat?" Noah questioned, quietly relishing Light's exchanges with his wives, "Greater than yourself, that is?"

"Tough to say. Never observed her in battle. Still, my gut says she's beyond my level."

"My gut agrees." Noah chimed in, then grinned, "Fascinating. Looks like, Elira, you'll astonish us before long."

"There's nothing amusing about this, husband." Elira exhaled wearily, "It's unsettling. I remain in the dark while others hint at secrets."

"Easy now," Noah murmured, "I trust we'll uncover the truths shortly."

"Through what means?" Yuki wondered.

"Well, dear friend and wives, the issue with The Merchant has stirred something within, urging me toward actions I'd usually avoid."

He declared, his smile widening. The rest paid close attention, a growing unease stirring among them.

"I've been overly cautious all along. That approach cost me valuable moments I can't afford to squander in my present circumstances."

"Time to shift gears."

He dropped his gaze, locking eyes with Light,

"Inform me," Noah pressed, "Would reducing this entire Principality to ruins suffice to draw The Will's notice?"

Utter silence gripped the air.

Light, Yuki, and Elira stood petrified, gaping at Noah like he'd sprouted an extra head.

Before they could shake off their shock, another notification appeared before Noah.

His resolve had registered.

As the group recovered their wits, processing Noah's outrageous declaration, the man beamed broadly, a rush of thrill coursing through him like searing magma.

His bloodline emitted a piercing call, more thrilled than its wielder.

"Hey! Friend Noah, say it's just a jest?" Light blurted quickly. His expression stayed composed, though concern laced his bearing.

"Jest?" Noah chuckled, "Hardly the moment for humor, Light. See, Yuki nailed it. I possess this peculiar knack for pulling in notice from the mighty."

"Yet it's no natural trait of mine." He elaborated, gradually rising toward the chamber's roof.

"I'm merely a committed instigator."

Noah appended, then whipped his head toward Yuki and Elira.

"Summon the rest." He instructed them, ascending further until he brushed the ceiling, his words still resounding,

"Warn them things are about to turn chaotic. And the sole secure spot is by my side."

The ceiling split open, as though tugged apart, clearing a path for him. Noah pressed on, rising like a deity heading home, until he hovered amid the Principality's cloudy expanse.

He positioned himself there, shutting his eyes, his features etched with intense concentration,

brain hunting for the optimal strategy to fulfill his aim.

Noah understood full well that his planned deed wouldn't just summon The Will's interest, but its fury too. The quest spelled it out clearly...

He had to claim the Principality's authority. For that, Noah already held a plan.

One additional matter lingered in his mind. Namely, handling the remaining Soul Rulers amid his mission.

The instant that idea surfaced, Noah sensed a vibration intrude his mental space.

He recognized it at once.

It was an item he'd overlooked for some time, assuming it vanished upon his prior death.

It was the artifact he'd extracted from Elizabeth Apollonia's core and concealed across layers of reality.

It was Idalia Marigold's golden nail from Light Torcheur.

That nail trembled. And its tremor matched the broadening grin on Noah's face,

"They say Fate rewards the daring."

Noah let out a hearty laugh,

"Is this their proof for me? My daughter works tirelessly. Now I long for them."

He retrieved the nail, encasing it in his energy right as it sought to dart off, heading in a precise bearing.

Toward the Dominion of the Shadow of What Was Lost. "One handled, or at least occupied sufficiently. Light stays with me. Love joins via Mother Maryam and Selene's aid. So, Solstice remains, eh?"

His eyes arched slyly,

"Very well, we'll tackle this quest in that fellow's domain!"
