Leo Ray and his companions examined a sunken area revealing recent traces of erased 'Corrosion' monsters, marked by eroded hollows and lingering mana, though none of their group had been involved. Nearby, they discovered a freshly carved emblem depicting a 'Corrosion' eye slashed by a cross, which Moli identified as the insignia of the Erosion Erasers—a secretive organization specializing in eliminating 'Corrosion' but infamous for unauthorized intrusions into territories of top clans like the Forest Elves, leading to fierce clashes and collateral damage. The group noted the lack of such records in Human Clan history, as Moli hesitated when pressed on the organization's true identity.

As they drew near to the enigmatic emblem buried in the heart of the ruins, Moli placed her hands on her hips once more after much hesitation, dodging the question with, “I can’t remember, I have no interest in those sinister mysterious folks!”

“Yet you described the earlier events so vividly.”

Observing the hesitant look on her face, Leo Ray narrowed his eyes a bit and remarked, “After all these clashes, have you still not uncovered the real identity of the enemy?”

“Impossible! We Forest Elves reign supreme among the Ten Thousand Clans. Even if every third-class and second-tier power united, they wouldn’t budge us at all! You have no idea how fearsome those ancient monsters’ powers are—each could crush an entire faction alone! Forget our mighty Grand Army.”

Moli spilled out her words like popping beans, obviously eager to regain her composure, and jumbled her explanation, “How could we fail to uncover a bunch of shadowy figures’ origins? I just forgot!”

“Were that the case, you wouldn’t label the Erosion Erasers as mysterious and unknown.”

Leo Ray instantly pierced through Moli’s bluff and gave a wry smile.

“Maybe those elders discovered it! They simply kept it from me, nothing more!”

Though her words tangled a little, Moli stubbornly fought to reclaim her pride, “Even so, if the Forest Elves can’t unravel it, then it’s utterly impossible for anyone!”

“Fine, fine, I overstepped; it’s definitely an impossible puzzle.”

Noticing Moli’s pointed-eared head nearly exploding in frustration, Leo Ray ceased the argument and turned his attention to pondering the cryptic emblem ahead.

Based on Moli’s insights, it was evident the Erosion Erasers weren’t allies but rather fanatics gripped by an intense drive to purge “Corrosion,” willing to ensnare the blameless in the process.

Currently, the Great Catastrophe remained dormant, with “Corrosion” confined to a small scope. Still, these foes had begun razing villages and striking down innocents.

Should the Great Catastrophe erupt in full force, one could only imagine the extremes the Erosion Erasers might pursue in their crusade, explaining why the Peak Powers harbored such hostility toward them, perhaps even outright enmity.

However, this stemmed from Moli’s secondhand tales, as she’d seen nothing firsthand. Given the Forest Elves’ arrogant and overbearing ways, some facts might be hidden; notably, the Erosion Erasers hadn’t stirred any chaos in the Human Domain or crossed paths with us.

Moreover, it was astonishing that even the Forest Elves couldn’t pinpoint the Erosion Erasers’ secrets, yet they matched pace with the many Peak Powers, underscoring their own profound might.

“Who would’ve thought that alongside the array of Peak Powers, such a profound Mysterious Organization lurked on this continent—it’s truly unforeseen.”

“Plus, judging by these lingering marks, it’s apparent that right before our group made it back to Observation City or right upon our arrival, they stealthily purged those ‘Corrosions,’ maybe even brushing past us momentarily.”

With that in mind, Leo Ray creased his brow once again.

Should the foes have slipped away undetected, matters would simplify, especially since Moli’s details suggested these fanatics fixated solely on “Corrosion,” ignoring all else.

Yet, the chance they’d blended into my cadre of elite fighters wasn’t out of the question.

Leo Ray pondered this, his eyes scanning the assembled powerhouses nearby.

“To start, none of my closest followers qualify, from Broy and Crisis to Fanny, Bruno, and the recently yielded tribal chiefs like Nathan Howard. Next, Moli’s out too, as she’s stuck close since we returned. So, perhaps the elites serving those chiefs?”

“No, that’s unlikely too. In the recent search parties, each squad was captained by a chief; their top aides couldn’t wander off independently.”

“The sole group lacking a chief was the Dwarf Elves, though Konet and the Dwarf Elf masters watched over Asher Porter, Kara, and the wounded elites. They had no opening to move solo either.”

“On top of that, neither Moli nor my own powerhouses wielded the strength to clear ‘Corrosion’ prior to reaching Observation City. Posing as Erosion Erasers without that ability would make no sense.”

“Thus, it’s probable they departed silently before our return. After all, Sheila and the other Stone Spirits sensed no Stone Spirit presence.”

“Regardless, I must alert all my kings and generals about this swiftly to hunt for additional leads. Though their aim is purely ‘Corrosion,’ preparation is key against surprises. As for ally or adversary, we’ll watch closely and avoid hasty judgments.”

With his thoughts aligned, Leo Ray nodded to the gathered elites and declared, “Given the Erosion Erasers’ prior visit, combined with our recent sweep, it confirms the ‘Corrosion’ here is fully eliminated. Time to go.”
