Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2691: 1479: Astonishment and Sudden Enlightenment

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray unleashed a barrage of summoned archer and mage golem puppets against the lich-led undead forces, shattering their lines with arrows and magic while the enemy countered with necromantic assaults that decimated many tier-five constructs. As the liches pressed their tier-six advantage to target Leo Ray's elite units, he deployed hidden tier-five cavalry under old Gary's command, supported by Frank's wind scroll that dispelled bone weapons and cleared the path for a devastating clash. The cavalry routed the undead reinforcements at significant cost, and Leo Ray summoned waves of additional golem puppets, shifting the battle from a dire siege to a grueling stalemate amid escalating chaos. Suddenly, a surge of killing intent arose from behind Leo Ray, heightening the peril.

Suddenly, without a single hint, the area behind Leo Ray started to warp and distort fiercely. In the span of an instant, a huge spatial tear expanded swiftly, looking as though some unseen colossal hand had ripped it open.

Inside the tear, an infinite Void Space lay exposed, and a powerful, unstoppable pull surged forth right away, yanking Leo Ray straight toward the opening with brute force.

Right then, Leo Ray wasn't the only one affected; Frank, old Gary, the Stone Spirits, and the pink-hooded person all got caught in it too, compelled to rush headlong toward that endless chasm, their feet unable to find solid ground.

Leo Ray recognized this sensation all too well, having felt it just moments ago inside the space rift. And what hid within the tear was crystal clear—a Void Space opposed to the real world, a place where survival was impossible for anyone!

“You worthless Human Clan insects, perish! Let's see how you'll escape this time?”

The Witch Demon Leader tossed aside the magic scroll he held, his shriveled features twisting into a sinister, eerie grin.

As the immense pulling force dragged Leo Ray and his companions ever closer to the Void Space tear, a wave of arrogance washed over the Witch Demon Leader’s cadaverous visage once more.

This strike came from a scroll sealed by that exalted figure himself, meant only for dire straits and available in just this single copy, yet now it sealed their fate!

Yet, just as the Witch Demon Leader began to bask in victory, his grin turned rigid on his face, because Leo Ray and his allies, approaching the enormous tear, abruptly stopped in their tracks, defying the overwhelming tug.

Following that, they pressed on directing the Golem Puppets in combat, completely undisturbed by the turmoil of the rift at their backs!

“What in the world is going on?”

The Witch Demon Leader stared wide-eyed, unable to believe the sight before him.

Remember, this colossal breach to the Void Space could devour whole armies; how could it fail to overpower even a few Human Clan pests?

As the Witch Demon Leader reeled in shock, Leo Ray stayed utterly serene and steady.

Though the tear behind him overflowed with deadly emptiness and nothingness, truly horrifying and enough to make one's skin crawl, ahead loomed an equally deadly horde of undead and witches, surging with killing intent across the field.

Under these conditions, one slip could lead to immediate doom. By contrast, the rift's infinite abyss felt somewhat less terrifying.

The reason our team escaped being swallowed by the intense draw was, of course, the Void Resistance Crystal supplied by the pink-hooded person.

Upon drawing near the tear, the Void Resistance Crystal each carried unleashed a potent repelling energy, akin to opposing poles of magnets, creating a protective shield for our group that fully blocked the rift's attraction.

“Your Excellency, we have you to thank for this crystal.”

Sensing the strange pull that kept trying to haul them in only to be pushed back repeatedly, Leo Ray gave a nod to the pink-hooded person.

“No big deal; I figured they’d pull out something like this.”

The pink-hooded person spoke modestly. Then, with clear excitement, he inquired: “Mind grabbing me a few summon scrolls to work with?”

“The demon’s your main foe; let us handle these small fries.”

Leo Ray turned down the request and continued: “Keep in mind, the true puppet master hasn’t shown up yet.”

“Kid from the Human Clan, you’re not seriously thinking I’ll take on that monster solo, right? He’s a real demigod!”

The pink-hooded person shook his head vigorously, rejecting it outright: “I said I’d help you, but I didn’t sign up for charging in like an idiot! A demigod’s might isn’t something to trifle with! Squashing a Tier 6 powerhouse is like stepping on a bug!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll fight right there with you.”

Leo Ray gave a small nod, turning his attention back to the fray ahead.

Now, the two forces were locked in tactical deadlock; even with the enemy’s superior Tier 6 might, our mounted troops had pinned down a good chunk of their numbers, leaving them visibly frustrated.

Across the expansive, shadowy field of battle, clashes between Golem Puppets and undead raged with savage intensity. If they weren’t hacking at each other with blades that sparked on impact, they ditched their arms and traded brutal blows, scattering bone shards and fading Puppet parts all over.

Different from regular troops, neither the Golem Puppets nor the undead knew pain or exhaustion; unless fully obliterated, they battled on without cease.

This led straight to numerous Golem Puppets and undead missing limbs yet persisting in their deadly assaults on enemies, holding even ground in an unyielding struggle until smashed to pieces.

It’s easy to picture that, if swapped with normal soldiers, considering Leo Ray’s troop strength and the gap in Tier 6 power, total rout would have come ages ago.

Moreover, setting it apart from typical warfare, the whole scene lacked war shouts, with scarcely any yells or profanities, just the thick clamor of power clashes resounding endlessly, a nonstop barrage that hammered at every listener’s ears.
