Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2686 1476: Footsteps Toward the Depths of Darkness (Part 2)

"Those cursed fools, they were members of my Broken Valley Alliance."
Guy, the elder, stared at the massive remnants, sorrow dripping from his tone.
Leo Ray gripped his longsword firmly, staying quiet all the while. Should the foes persist in this manner, another Bone Hall could rise soon within the Human Domain.
Soon enough, the team arrived at the entrance of the Forest White Giant Palace. No actual gate existed; the jaw of the skull-like structure gaped wide, plunging into unknown depths.
"Remain vigilant, onward we go."
Leo Ray swiftly applied a set of enhancement buffs to himself and his companions, then led the way forward once more.
"Hold on, Human Clan youth."
The figure in the pink hood recalled something and passed out several gray gems the size of fists to each person in turn, giving a light nod. "These stones ward off Spatial Magic. They'll stop you from getting yanked into the Void Space against your will, though you'll be unable to teleport on your own while holding them. They provide minor protection from Spatial Strangulation and Space Binding too, but it's weak at best, particularly against far stronger opponents."
"My gratitude, Your Excellency; this helps immensely."
Leo Ray accepted the gem and simply pulled up the attribute panel.
[Name: Void Resistance Crystal]
[Resource Level: Tier 6 (Rare)]
[Size: 8cm]
[Purity: S+ Grade]
[Note: A unique magical crystal, incredibly scarce and valuable, it repels the Void Space effectively, blocking any teleportation for the bearer and offering slight defense against various spatial magics.]
"A Tier 6 rare item? It matches the level of those Magic Communication Gems the Administrator bestows upon the Land of Divine Favor."
Reading the details on the panel, Leo Ray's eyes grew a bit wider.
Everyone knows that elite Space Series experts often rip open a tear to the Void Space, dragging enemies inside. Once the gap seals shut, the victim's fate is sealed.
On top of that, the chaotic space in this area leaves little chance for our side to deploy a Space Scroll, making this crystal's shielding role all the more crucial.
Clearly, the pink-hooded figure boasts powerful connections; snagging a Tier 6 rare resource is tough even in a top-tier faction's Shadow Market, rendering its worth beyond measure.
"Don't shatter them; I'm just loaning these out. Return them when you're finished!"
Noticing the stunned looks on everyone's faces, the pink-hooded figure warned them again.
At those words, the team nodded in agreement, steadied their nerves, and started venturing into the palace's inky blackness.
As they advanced, Little Jie and Youyou unleashed glowing orbs one by one to light the path, sending them zipping toward the Bone Gate.
Yet the profound gloom swallowed most of the radiance, offering only faint glimpses of their surroundings, as though they wandered into an eternal void.
Thud, thud, thud.
Through the hazy, stench-filled darkness that stretched endlessly, just the team's careful steps resounded, with the path forward shrouded in mystery.
After some unknown stretch of time, while the group scanned diligently for magical snares and kept watch on every side, a cluster of vague shapes emerged ahead on the trail.
These thick clusters of forms loomed motionless and silent, casting mere outlines in the shadows that hinted at human shapes; details beyond that stayed hidden.
"What are those things?"
Facing this sight, the team lifted their weapons with caution, refusing to let their guard down.
"Doesn't matter what they are—destroy them all!"
Patience clearly not the pink-hooded figure's strong suit, they brandished their wand. The shadow-packed area warped instantly, and cracking stone noises erupted from everywhere.
Thanks to the pink-hooded figure's Space Strangulation, the shadows crumbled rapidly into heaps of rubble littering the floor.
Only now did they see that these had been nothing more than a bunch of statues.
"Press on."
With Leo Ray's command, the team continued their journey.
As they drew close to the debris piles, Leo Ray examined them closely.
Sure enough, statues they were, and faint designs could be made out on the scattered bits. But the pink-hooded figure's strike had been ruthlessly thorough, smashing them into chunks no bigger than fists, obscuring their prior shapes.
Still, as the team moved past the wreckage, something shifted abruptly.
Out of nowhere, with a fierce wind whipping up, the pieces lifted off the ground without reason, rapidly piecing back together into their former selves.
Up close like this, Leo Ray saw plainly: these were carvings of robed liches, and even in stone, their skeletal visages leered in horrifying fashion.
Before anyone could respond, the reformed lich statues blazed with crimson light from empty eye holes and thrust bony claws forward, striking from every angle.
"Pathetic parlor tricks—spare me the embarrassment!"
The pink-hooded figure scoffed, as a torrent of arcane power poured from the wand. With a murky gray shimmer, the nearby space twisted and buckled, filled with the relentless clamor of breaking rock.
The freshly animated lich statues exploded into shards under the pink-hooded figure's fierce barrage. Yet this round, the debris didn't drop but hurtled at the team like projectiles.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Little Jie's Absolute Defense Barrier was already in place, so blasts of energy rang out nearby, and those shards packed the punch of Magic Cannon shells.
"As long as I'm powering this, no way you'll crack it!"
Though the ongoing strikes from the broken lich statues caught the pink-hooded figure off guard, they quickly pitched in with more energy.
The barrier's shine grew brighter from the added magic of the pink-hooded figure. The debris assaults raged hard, but they couldn't touch the team at all. Instead, they crumbled to powder in the force clashes, floating briefly before settling earthward.
Once the barrage ended, right as Leo Ray and the others geared up to advance again, the airborne dust swirled in from all sides, sealing over the entire Barrier Wall like a cover, blocking sight and hiding the outer world.
"What's the enemy's game this time?"
Witnessing that, the team creased their brows in concern.
No one had foreseen that even after the statues reduced to bits and ash, the foe held more surprises.
In this setup, spells or strikes seemed useless against the drifting particles.
"If we could just tear into the Void Space, but no—this spot's riddled with the demon's Space Barriers, unbreakable."
The pink-hooded figure knitted their brows deeply, grumbling under their breath.
While the team puzzled over the foe's intent, the dust started to spread out and fade away into nothing.
"What's going on?!"
With sight clearing and the view reopening, astonishment widened their eyes in shock.
Now, the team stood in a sprawling new chamber, where illumination had surged brighter. All around loomed a battle-ready Undead Army.
From the crushing presence enveloping them, this horde's power topped Tier 5 across the board, boasting no fewer than ten thousand troops, their vacant sockets pulsing with eerie red light, the atmosphere thick with killing intent that chilled to the bone.
"Heh, never imagined you'd bugs would dare seek your doom—fine, I'll grant it!"
A wicked, haughty voice rang out in the team's ears.
