Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2670: 1468: Mutation and Collapse

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
The Witch Demon Leader, heeding a mysterious voice, retreats with his forces into the depths of the Forest White Giant City, shattering the Absolute Defense Barrier and opening the skeletal gates. Leo Ray leads the Human Clan and Broken Valley Alliance elites inside, only to discover a vast, folded space far larger than anticipated, filled with skeletal remains, crimson rivers, and a purgatory-like gloom under a towering black mist pillar. A deadly spatial trap activates, dismembering scouts and revealing Demigod-level defenses undetectable by standard means, prompting Leo Ray to assemble space-series experts who expose the invisible distortions littering the path. With gaps forming a precarious route forward, the group braces for the thorn-filled advance.

Suddenly, right as Leo Ray uttered those words, the wide-open Giant City Gate slammed shut without a hint of forewarning, while a massive Barrier glowing with a creepy pale white light sprang up, wrapping the whole Giant City in its grip.

“Your Majesty, this is exactly like that Confinement Barrier sealing off the exit in the Underground City!”

Frank’s expression turned grave, and he quickly informed Leo Ray.

“Looks like our enemies are aiming to lock us in right here.”

Sina scanned the area around them and creased her brow, commenting, “It’s no surprise they handed over the City Gate so readily; what a smart scheme it turned out to be.”

“Doesn’t matter at all; our main aim is to utterly eradicate these scum from this spot!”

Loris eyed the far-off columns of Black Fog surging upward endlessly and let out a cold huff, “This forces us to ditch all distractions!”

“That said, there’s got to be more to their strategy in pulling this off.”

Leo Ray picked up the thread, gave a nod to the group, and declared, “We can’t afford delays; let’s launch our move right away.”

Once he said that, Leo Ray first directed Ellie and the rest to gear up for ongoing scans of Space Traps, then he guided the frontline powerhouses directly toward the heart of the Giant City.

The team trailed after Leo Ray, assigning the Broken Valley Alliance fighters who hadn’t hit Tier 5 yet to watch over the City Gate and relay updates to the external Broken Valley Alliance forces, Grey Elder included.

As the City Gate and City Wall slipped farther into the distance behind them, Leo Ray’s squad picked up their speed.

Thanks to the instant checks from Ellie and the other space specialists, the nearby space Magic Traps popped into view all over, still crammed thickly into every nook nearby.

Within those warped space rifts, even though certain spots were tight enough for just a single person to squeeze by, our battle-hardened crew swiftly got the hang of these tricky routes, avoiding any early mishaps with traps.

Despite that, deep furrows etched everyone’s brows, their faces tightening with greater tension.

Along this path, beyond the lethal, twisted Space Traps, the scenery nearby grew ever more terrifying.

Stepping across the fractured gray terrain, now and then, rivers of blood snaked through bone mounds, alongside heaps like mini mountains made of ghostly pale white stuff, their hue telling the full grim tale.

Hanging in the atmosphere, the sharp tang of blood and foul odor thickened, and despite the double shield of the Energy Barrier and Energy Shield, along with various cleansing Buffs, Leo Ray’s gut twisted hard, bile rising in his throat.

On top of that, the atmosphere brimmed with an undefinable Death energy, heavy with hopelessness, helplessness, and chilling fear.

In the midst of this oppressive backdrop, battle-tested figures like Loris and Sina stayed quiet, at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, the Broken Valley Alliance soldiers showed fury on their stiff skeletal features, gripping their arms with fierce resolve.

This had been their sanctuary once, yet now it lay in such a nightmarish state, fueling their fury to the brim.

“Your Majesty, we’re drawing nearer to the Giant City’s core where that black miasma spews out!”

Next to Leo Ray, Yonir’s weathered gaze blazed with fighting fervor as he addressed him.

As a Tier 6 powerhouse from the Human Domain and a famed Dragon-slaying Hero, Yonir knew full well that failing to wipe out these Witch Demons would doom the Human Domain to become this hellish nightmare, leading to total ruin.

Not just Yonir—Grey Elder, Frank, and Qiana wore matching looks of determination.

In the past, confronting such overwhelming foes would have brought only despair. Yet today, under Your Majesty’s lead, a spark of victory lies within reach!

When Yonir spoke, Leo Ray narrowed his eyes a bit, peering toward the Giant City’s inner reaches.

True enough, that colossal black smoke pillar linking heaven and ground loomed bigger now, striking an even more imposing figure.

Under that towering dark column stood a fortress of the same eerie pale white, like a colossal skeleton perched in place, radiating peril and enigma, undoubtedly the Witch Demon’s final stronghold.

“Keep your vigilance maxed out; the foes surely have more schemes to block our path there.”

Leo Ray refocused his mind, giving a nod to the experts nearby.

The moment Leo Ray wrapped up his words, something strange struck again.

Old Susan’s harsh, grating cry cut through from the rear, “Chief, Your Majesty of the Humans, the fighters near me have abruptly disappeared!”

At those words, Leo Ray halted and turned around.

Indeed, a stark void surrounded Old Susan, where hundreds of Water Elves and fellow warriors ought to have stood.

Yet before Leo Ray could respond, the area around Old Susan rippled, and she blinked out of existence in a flash, as if she’d never been there at all.
