Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2659: 1263: Past Events and Testimonies

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
A mysterious golden light shattered the Witch Demons' control over the Dead Spirits, awakening them as the vengeful warriors of the long-destroyed Broken Valley Alliance, who immediately turned their blades against their enslavers. Leo Ray, guided by an awakened Stone Spirit, activated a hidden holy formation that restored their consciousness and sealed the alliance's passages, tipping the brutal battle in their favor as Sina and Reece pressed the assault. The Crowned Dead Spirit led the charge with unyielding fury, overwhelming the Witch Demons and felling their Vice Leader in a storm of bone and steel, leaving the hall in tense silence.

As the Crown of the Undead drew closer to him, Leo Ray advanced directly to confront him.

“Are you the leader of the Broken Valley Alliance, Guardian King Gary, Your Majesty?”

Leo Ray spoke first, extending his hand toward the other man.

Earlier, Leo Ray had learned more details about the Broken Valley Alliance from the unknown Stone Spirit, including details on this Crown of the Undead.

“Human Clan Excellency, you're being too polite; just call me Gary.”

A raspy and aged voice echoed, and the elderly Gary, adorned with a worn crown, inclined his head toward Leo Ray. After a brief pause, he extended his own hand.

He seemed to be pondering if his present condition still allowed him to follow standard human customs.

Yet Leo Ray’s steady and powerful grip had already reassured him: as long as the fire in his soul endured, he could pursue The Light even in this shape.

Sensing the intense heat from Leo Ray’s grasp, the aged Gary froze for an instant, then gripped Leo Ray’s hand firmly with his bony, weathered one.

After some time, the crimson gleam in old Gary’s empty sockets dimmed, giving way to a soft azure light. He turned to the unfamiliar Stone Spirit and added, “Yoyo, it looks like you've pulled it off.”

“Grandpa! At last, I can lay eyes on you once more!”

The Stone Spirit called Yoyo was already sobbing, dashing toward old Gary, who wavered briefly on whether he'd scare her before tenderly stroking her head with his bony fingers.

“Forgive me, Grandpa; back then, Yoyo couldn't trigger the formation in time and got overwhelmed by those wicked foes, leading to my capture.”

Stone Spirit Yoyo’s frame shook nonstop, as though she was unleashing years of bottled-up anger and sorrow in one go.

Observing this heartfelt reunion between grandfather and granddaughter, Leo Ray gave a subtle nod; it appeared old Gary truly was the Stone Spirit's master.

“It wasn't your doing; didn't Grandpa end up in their clutches too during that time?”

Old Gary softly rubbed Yoyo’s shoulder to soothe her, saying, “The key is the present, not what happened before.”

With that, old Gary shifted his attention back to Leo Ray, unable to form expressions yet awkwardly grinning by shifting his jaw, “My apologies, Human Clan Excellency; you must find this amusing. All my descendants perished in combat or by their own ends, so upon stumbling upon Yoyo by chance, I've regarded her as my own granddaughter.”

Hearing this, Leo Ray just offered a smile and a nod, choosing not to disrupt this long-awaited family reunion.

“Human Majesty, what precisely is happening here?”

Loris moved ahead, his lion mask blackened by battle smoke, brimming with bewilderment.

Evidently, his once plush and lustrous mane was matted, with a broad section burned away, revealing the intensity of the fight.

“Is this the Guardian King Gary, former head of the Broken Valley Alliance?”

Sina approached as well, her pale features equally clouded with confusion.

“This is the story.”

Leo Ray motioned for the pair to assemble the key figures and briefly outlined the sequence of events.

“So that's the tale…”

Upon absorbing Leo Ray’s account, the primary leaders struggled to accept it, and even Loris and Sina gaped in shock, taking a long moment to process.

Truly, this surpassed all expectations. Though utterly demolished by the flow of ages, the powerhouses of the Broken Valley Alliance had etched their grudge deep, persisting even as terrifying undead.

For a spell, everyone directed admiring looks at old Gary and the rest of the Broken Valley Alliance's mighty ones. Their unyielding spirit was what allowed us to shift the balance on our side during the Libra conflict.

In the midst of the wonder, all gazes returned to Leo Ray.

To think, had the Human Majesty not uncovered this promptly and triggered those inscriptions effectively, we'd probably still be doomed to ruin.

“Human Majesty, the Witch Demons and other undead hordes have been utterly wiped out, and our injured warriors have gotten the care they need, so what's our next move?”

Sina steadied herself and asked Leo Ray again.

“Of course, we press on to assault the Witch Demon capital without delay; if the Witch Demons and undead from elsewhere join forces, we'll stay in dire straits.”

Leo Ray showed no doubt, first affirming Sina with a nod, then addressing old Gary, “Old Chief, while we've cleared the Witch Demons in this area, their main forces endure, and our window is closing fast.”

Then, Leo Ray concisely explained the ongoing circumstances and our position to him.

“Those cursed Witch Demons went so far as to build a capital above ground? Transforming my old territory into a desolate foe's land.”

Old Gary balled his fist and glanced at Sina and Loris, giving a small nod, “Never thought experts from the Desert Alliance and Rainforest Fortress Alliance would join too.”

At old Gary’s remark, Sina and Loris exchanged sheepish grins and offered their greetings.

Notably, the Broken Valley Alliance had once topped the ranks of third-class powers; beside it, the fresh Desert Alliance and Rainforest Fortress Alliance seemed as weak as fledgling Demon Beasts just out of the egg.
