Faced with an imminent invasion from both the Desert and Rainforest alliances, Leo Ray prepares for a high-stakes mission to rescue the Desert Leader from Medusa’s Holy Land. While he dispatches elite teams and reinforcements to stall the overwhelming enemy armies at key fortresses, he secures a secret passage and a vital token from the Desert Catman Clan. As the realm teeters on the brink of collapse, Leo Ray sets out on a perilous journey, unaware that the Lich Leader has already orchestrated a deadly trap to ensure his demise.

Within a hall defined by khaki hues and vibrant textures, two factions were embroiled in a rigid confrontation, the air thick with a burgeoning and lethal aura.

Illuminated by the glow of Light Crystal Stones set into the ceiling, one group consisted of the formidable Desert Catman Clan, sharing the same lineage as the Masked Man. Facing them were the tall, robust warriors of the Werewolf Tribe, clearly hailing from the same bloodline as Vice Leader Lucas.

The cat paw insignias embellishing the chamber left no doubt that this location served as the sovereign territory of the Desert Catman Clan.

“Desert Catmen, is it truly your intent to disregard the commands of Lord Lucas, the alliance leader?”

The scarred werewolf leading the group let out a sharp snort, declaring sternly, “The price for defying the alliance leader is a burden your pathetic tribe cannot sustain! Lord Lucas has already decreed that those who resist shall be completely wiped out, along with every soul in their force!”

“You must realize that your meager strength is inconsequential when measured against the collective power of the Desert Alliance!”

As the scarred werewolf’s threats echoed, many of the Catman warriors swallowed nervously. Their confidence visibly crumbled, and even their pointed ears began to sag.

The opponent’s words held a grim truth; even within the alliance, the Desert Catman Clan’s influence was restricted. They could not hope to rival the dominant Medusa or Moon Demon Wolf Clan, let alone challenge the alliance as a whole.

“Consider this: if you answer Lord Lucas’s summons now and dispatch your warriors to the Desolate Fortress to soak the Emperor’s lands in blood, Lord Lucas might still show mercy.”

Observing the fading resolve of the Catman fighters, the lead werewolf spoke with growing arrogance, “This is your final opportunity; do not be ungrateful. If you refuse, you and your kin will be slaughtered where you stand when the Grand Army arrives!”

The scarred werewolf failed to notice, however, that amidst the trembling Catman elites stood a sturdy, middle-aged Catman. With a resolute gaze and perfectly upright khaki ears, this was Lannis, the Clan Leader of the Catman Clan.

“Your Excellency, I ask that you inform the Vice Leader that we will not mobilize our forces until the whereabouts of the Lord Leader have been confirmed.”

Lannis remained composed as he once again rejected the ultimatum.

“Lord Clan Leader, are you speaking of the previous leader?”

The scarred werewolf narrowed his eyes and gave a mocking laugh, “I have said from the start that after departing the Shadow Market, the former leader was caught in an ambush by that Human Race Emperor. Most of the elders and experts accompanying him died on the spot.”

“Our new leader, Lord Lucas, has assembled a Grand Army to march upon the Desolate Fortress to avenge the fallen leader. What possible excuse do you have for withholding your troops?”

The werewolf’s tone turned increasingly sharp as he snarled, “What is your true motive for defying the authority of the new leader, Lord Lucas?”

A cruel, mocking edge entered the scarred werewolf’s voice as he added, “Lord Clan Leader, I was told your cherished daughter also lost her life in that ambush by the Human Race Emperor; do you not crave vengeance?”

“I do, certainly, but I intend to uncover the identity of the true mastermind first.”

Though Lannis’s expression flickered at the mention of his daughter, he fought to maintain a calm exterior.

“Lord Clan Leader, are you truly doubting the word of the new leader?”

The werewolf’s face twisted into a dark scowl as he barked, “These events were witnessed directly by the new leader and Her Majesty, the new Queen of Medusa. Is their combined word not enough to convince you?”

“I simply cannot find a logical reason for the Human Race Emperor to target the leader in such an ambush.”

Despite the aggressive interrogation, Lannis remained unshaken, stating coolly, “Furthermore, the leader’s remains are still missing, yet the Vice Leader seized control instantly, and the Medusa throne was transferred just as quickly. Does that not seem remarkably hurried?”

Hearing these bold words, the other Catman elders looked on with a mix of helplessness and dread.

Lannis was famous throughout the tribe for his bluntness and rigid principles, having always ruled the Catman Clan with strict order. However, given their current peril, many felt this was the wrong time to be so stubborn.

The transition had indeed been abrupt. Just as Lannis suggested, the Human Race Emperor had no motive to attack the leader; doing so would have been a suicidal provocation.

It was obvious that there were hidden layers to this story.

Many other factions that had already sent their troops likely harbored similar suspicions, at least in secret.

But with Lucas now holding the reins of power, backed by the new Medusa Queen and the combined strength of the Moon Demon Wolf Clan and the Medusa—the two most potent forces—any dissenting voices were forced to submit.

“Clan Leader of the Catmen, it appears you are set on opposing the new leader.”

His patience exhausted, the scarred werewolf reached into his tunic and produced a golden token, shouting, “The new leader has decreed: should Lannis refuse to submit, the other experts of the Catman Clan are authorized to execute him. Whoever kills Lannis will receive the leader’s blessing to become the next Clan Leader of the Catmen!”

As the werewolf’s declaration dripped with lethal intent, his subordinates began to growl, baring their teeth and crouching in preparation for a strike. Meanwhile, the Catman elders remained motionless, acting as though they had heard nothing at all.
