Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2605: 1435: Getting Straight to the Point

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Tensions flare at the advanced market as Loris of the Desert Alliance and Queen Sina of the Rainforest Fortress Alliance discover they are both vying for rare Tier 6 equipment. The market administrator reveals that two separate sets of legendary gear are available, both belonging to the same mysterious benefactor. After being allowed to personally handle the exceptionally crafted weapons, both leaders are consumed by a desperate desire to finalize the exchange. However, their excitement turns to confusion and disdain when they are finally led to meet the owner, only to find the Human Emperor, Leo Ray, waiting for them at the negotiation table.

Once Loris finished speaking, Sina’s brow furrowed as she turned to the Administrator. “Your Excellency, you failed to mention previously that a third party would be competing for this equipment exchange,” she questioned.

“Furthermore, they are merely humans who have recently surfaced from the Outer Region. What possible right do they have to vie for Sixth-order Equipment alongside us?”

With a cold snort of agreement, the Masked Man added: “We did encounter reports earlier suggesting that the strongest members of the Human Clan’s Emperor possessed Sixth-order equipment, but we assumed it was nothing more than a bluff. In reality, such gear doesn't exist among them, does it?”

“Heh, our alliance is positioned at the very summit of third-class forces, yet we lack national treasures like Sixth-order Equipment. How could such items suddenly manifest in the hands of simple humans?”

Old Susan narrowed her aged eyes, looking at Leo Ray with a sneer of contempt. “Perhaps they are using this stage to exaggerate their standing,” she remarked sarcastically. “Maybe they hope to befriend us so that we might consider withdrawing our armies?”

Following Susan’s words, the powerful figures of the Rainforest Fortress Alliance and the Desert Alliance reached a rare moment of consensus, casting looks of pure disdain toward Leo Ray.

Despite being rivals, they were long-established powers in the region and truly did not view newcomers like us as a threat.

“Your Excellency, Administrator, even if you required a competitor, they shouldn't be of this caliber, right? Is this person being granted an exception to join simply because they have personal ties with you?”

Loris glanced at Leo Ray again, shaking his massive, lion-like head in a helpless gesture. “It matters not; they are merely an irrelevant observer. Please, summon the owner of the equipment.”

“Your Excellency, my only interest is in meeting the owner,” Sina added, completely disregarding Leo Ray as she nodded toward the Administrator. “Bring the esteemed owner out immediately.”

While the two leaders were still speaking, the Administrator had already moved to Leo Ray’s side. He reported respectfully: “Your Majesty, everyone has arrived.”

The Administrator’s actions left the gathered powerhouses in a state of deep confusion, and they began to trade puzzled glances.

By all standard protocols, the Administrator should have been fetching the equipment’s owner. Why was he wasting time with the Human Emperor instead? Were they not concerned about insulting the true owner of the treasures?

It was common knowledge that anyone capable of producing two sets of Sixth-order equipment was no ordinary person. They wouldn't just be from a second-tier power; they were likely a prominent figure from a first-class force or even royalty.

Under the stunned gazes of the crowd, the Administrator’s formal introduction rang out: “Members of the Rainforest Fortress Alliance and Desert Alliance, allow me to formally present the individual before you. The Emperor of the Human Clan is, in fact, the owner of the two sets of Sixth-order equipment you just inspected!”

Silence instantly blanketed the hall following the Administrator’s revelation.

The confusion that previously clouded their faces was replaced by sheer shock as the spectators looked at one another in disbelief.

Loris and Sina, in particular, saw their arrogant expressions shift into complex masks of uncertainty, leaving them at a loss for words.

As the highest authority of the Shadow Market and a representative of the Bazaar Brotherhood’s might, the Administrator would never lie. This meant Leo Ray was indeed the person they were so desperate to meet.

Recalling their earlier mockery, their faces began to stiffen. Normally, they wouldn't care about a minor misunderstanding, but the situation had changed.

They had just felt the weight of that coveted Sixth-order equipment; the exquisite texture was still fresh in their minds. They could not afford to let this opportunity vanish.

“Excellencies, we finally meet face to face.”

Leo Ray, seated calmly at the head of the negotiation table, spoke first with an indifferent chuckle. “It appears I am not merely posturing, nor am I trying to inflate my status.”

As Leo Ray spoke, his eyes drifted toward the most vocal offenders, the Masked Man and Old Susan. Both flinched, pulling back and avoiding his gaze.

They realized that Leo Ray was the true master of the gear. If their reckless insults had offended him enough to deny their leaders the chance to acquire the Sixth-order equipment, they would surely face brutal consequences.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, my subordinates were foolish. I ask that you do not hold it against us.”

Loris recovered the fastest. He shot a fierce glare at the meddlesome Old Susan before offering Leo Ray a sheepish grin. “It was nothing more than a slight misunderstanding.”

Despite the smile, Loris’s sharp, predatory eyes never stopped measuring Leo Ray from head to toe.

When Thomas had suggested outside the Shadow Market that Leo Ray might be the owner, Loris hadn't taken it seriously.

Now, however, while he maintained a friendly facade for the sake of the deal, he was forced to re-evaluate Leo Ray’s power. He secretly probed for Leo Ray’s true motives for offering the equipment, already plotting his next move.

His objective remained unchanged: he would obtain that Sixth-order Divine Weapon by any means necessary, even if it meant turning hostile the moment the deal was done.

“Hehe, Your Majesty, it was indeed my own negligence for failing to properly discipline my people.”

Sina followed suit, sharply striking the Masked Man’s head with her Magic Wand as a reprimand. She then stepped forward, thrusting her chest out and giving Leo Ray a flirtatious wink. “Please, Your Majesty, do not trouble yourself with the faults of subordinates. Do not take such trifles to heart.”
