Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2523 1393: Discovery and Growing Confusion

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray investigated the sudden disappearance of the Minotaur fleet, ruling out a dimensional storm or Great Catastrophe rift after consulting with Frost. To ascertain the cause, he announced his personal involvement, rallying the anxious Minotaurs. Leo Ray then mobilized his most powerful forces and prepared a fleet of fast ships to venture into the mysterious sea.

The tidal sea shimmered beneath a moonlit, starry sky, its dark expanse broken only by the rhythmic pulse of the waves, weaving an atmosphere of profound mystery.

Abruptly, six nimble vessels surged forward from the direction of Boundless City. It was a magnificent sight as they cut through the water, leaving streaks of white foam in their wake and shattering the deep silence of the night.

Standing upon the bow of the lead ship, Leo Ray was flanked by his formidable followers. He gazed at the surging waves ahead, the roar of the ocean filling his ears.

The deck remained perfectly dry despite the heavy spray; an Absolute Defense Barrier enveloped the entire ship, repelling every drop of seawater that lashed against it.

"I must admit, the speed of this fast ship is indeed impressive; in just a short while, the Boundless City behind us has completely vanished."

Leo Ray turned his eyes toward the distant horizon, where the darkness stretched out into an infinite void.

Even though the sensation of riding the waves was exhilarating, Leo Ray found himself in no mood to enjoy the experience.

"Your Majesty, the main fleet has been left far behind. Should we reduce our speed and wait for them to catch up?"

Leading several Minotaur commanders, Bruno stepped forward and saluted as he sought Leo Ray’s guidance.

"No need, just tell them to stand guard near the port."

Leo Ray dismissed the idea with a small wave of his hand.

He was well aware that while the ten large sailing ships of the fleet looked formidable due to their sheer size, that was their only advantage. Their speed was restricted and their combat effectiveness could not compare to the specialized fast ship he currently occupied.

Simply put, those massive vessels would serve as nothing more than a liability if an emergency occurred.

"As you command, Your Majesty."

Following Leo Ray's instructions, Bruno and his fellow Minotaurs immediately went to carry out their duties.

Leo Ray nodded, pleased to see the ship operating with such discipline, yet a shadow of concern remained visible in his eyes.

Everything was proceeding according to plan, yet a lingering sense of dread persisted. The mystery behind the fleet's disappearance remained unsolved.

Furthermore, his experience in naval command was nearly non-existent, save for the conquest of Lawrence. This lack of familiarity with the sea likely contributed to his unease.

"Never mind, beginning is always the hardest, the more so, the more I must bring everything under my control."

Steeling his resolve, Leo Ray focused his attention back on the dark waters ahead.

As the six fast ships pressed onward, the land receded further into the distance. To Leo Ray, the scenery remained a constant, repetitive loop of the vast, turbulent ocean.

To guard against any unforeseen complications, Leo Ray ordered the periodic deployment of Magic Beacons that floated upon the surface. For a Wind Mage of Yonir the Great's caliber, creating beacons capable of lasting several days was a simple task.

"Your Majesty, based on our repeated calculations, this should be the exact location where the incident took place!"

By the time midnight arrived, Bruno consulted his Sea Navigation Map and gave Leo Ray a solemn nod.

"Instruct all ships to slow down, but by no means break formation."

Leo Ray issued the command without a moment's hesitation.

The six vessels began to lose momentum immediately. As their speed dropped, the ships began to rock more noticeably against the current.

The waves in this particular region were significantly more violent than those they had encountered at the start of their journey.

Just as Leo Ray was about to order his subordinates to search for clues, Yonir’s aged voice rang out in shock: "Your Majesty, the Magic Beacon I just deployed has suddenly vanished!"

Leo Ray’s face darkened at the news, and he sprinted toward the stern of the vessel.

He scanned the infinite sea, but the glowing radiance of the Magic Beacon was nowhere to be found. Only the churning, deep-blue water met his gaze.

"Could it have been swallowed by some sea creature?"

Xiao Jing tilted her head as she spoke. Her flushed face suggested she was still caught up in the novelty of her first voyage at sea.

"Impossible, the Magic Beacon was just deployed, if anything unusual happened, I would have sensed it."

Yonir shook his head firmly, his expression etched with absolute certainty.

"So, according to the Lord's hypothesis, did the Magic Beacon mistakenly enter an entry to a Sea Barrier Area?"

Realization dawned on Xiao Jing, and she exclaimed with a spark of hope: "As long as we find the Magic Beacon, everything will be resolved!"

"Let's not rush to conclusions."

Leo Ray gestured for her to be quiet before turning to the mage. "Old Master, can you sense any other Magic Beacons?"

"Please wait, Your Majesty, with my ability, I should be able to sense several nearby Magic Beacons."

Yonir closed his eyes, focusing his mental strength to search the surrounding waters.

A few moments later, he opened them again and shook his head in failure. "Your Majesty, this old one cannot sense any of the Magic Beacons nearby."

"So, have all the Magic Beacons entered the Barrier Area?"

Xiao Jing’s face was a mask of confusion. She asked in a puzzled tone: "But how is this possible?"
