Endless Evolution: Last Star Chapter 1473 - Capítulo 1473: Arcade

Numerous activities were available at the casino. After Silvana and Louis engaged in poker, their exploration continued.
Blackjack served as their subsequent destination. The guidelines for this card game were considerably more straightforward than those for poker, prompting Alexia and Adam to join. The quartet occupied the majority of the table.
Consequently, any victories among them contributed positively to their collective outcome. However, Alexia occasionally placed excessive trust in her fortune, drawing more cards than necessary while wagering substantial chip amounts, leading to considerable financial setbacks.
Nevertheless, given it was blackjack and four individuals were participating, despite Alexia's impulsive conduct, they still managed to accrue a modest profit.
Following blackjack, they opted to try craps. This boisterous game relied predominantly on chance and an individual's proficiency in rolling the dice. It appeared Adam and Alexia should have possessed an advantage, given their precision and physical conditioning, attributes unattainable for an average person.
Yet, as with every other game, this establishment was equipped for any patron, be it a common human or a Phantom. The table and dice were engineered to negate any advantage, even for those who attempted to master rolling the craps with specific sides.
Certainly, in a different, less prestigious casino, such tactics might have been effective, but for Phantoms, there was no incentive to frequent such venues.
Tap.
The barkeeper presented Alexia with a chilled bottle of beer, her third already.
“Agh… I’m exhausted!” she exclaimed. “We’ve been here for half a day, and we haven’t earned a thing!”
Louis, who had selected a glass of red wine for himself, offered a faint smile.
“Considering the wagers you were placing, that’s quite an accomplishment. Had you been here alone, you would have been left penniless in thirty minutes.”
“Silence! I’m merely unlucky!”
Louis grinned before taking a sip. “You’re perpetually unlucky. That’s not accurate.”
“It is!”
Adam and Silvana sat to the side. They abstained from alcohol, having consumed sufficient for the day. Instead, they enjoyed pistachio and chocolate ice cream. They remained silent, observing the exchange between Alexia and Louis, which provided them with ample food for thought.
‘Do we appear the same from an external perspective?’ Adam pondered, gazing at his pistachio ice cream and then at Alexia, who struggled to admit her poor playing ability.
Silvana consumed chocolate ice cream and glanced at their wedding rings.
‘How peculiar… They are entirely dissimilar. Alexia behaves akin to a demon, yet I cannot claim they lack harmony. They are different, but is that why they complement each other? Or is there something else concealed here?’
‘Furthermore…’ Silvana narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing Louis intently, then Alexia. ‘If they are husband and wife and currently on what resembles their honeymoon, that implies every evening they…’
For a moment, Silvana’s face flushed as she averted her gaze. She felt embarrassed by her desire to visualize the scene in her mind, despite knowing it was none of their concern.
‘Still,’ she murmured to herself. ‘I remain curious. Alexia or Louis… Which one of them is dominant at night? If Alexia possesses such a fiery temperament, perhaps at night she is submissive, or… is that Louis’s role?’
Simultaneously, Adam raised an eyebrow. He couldn't comprehend why, but Silvana’s face turned scarlet, and hot steam seemed poised to emanate from her ears.
‘Did she feel unwell after consuming ice cream?’ He wondered, immediately shifting to another thought.
Although both observed Alexia and Louis, their thoughts diverged significantly.
‘The last time I encountered Alexia was a very long time ago. Back then, our power was considerably weaker compared to our current level. Also, what about Louis? If they are at my same level, then Louis must also possess several abilities, both personal and shared, correct?’
When Alexia finished her beer, and Adam and Silvana concluded their ice cream, Louis settled the bill, and they proceeded towards the arcade.
In contrast to the gambling and card games that occupied the majority of the casino, the arcade hall was not expansive, but it contained everything necessary for enjoyment without squandering millions due to misfortune and impatience.
A distinct area for bowling was even present.
Like many aspects of casinos and entertainment generally, bowling was one of the activities Adam had never experienced.
There were no establishments with operational bowling alleys in the slums, or at least Adam was unaware of any.
“How about we conclude our day here?” Silvana proposed, indicating the bowling alley.
“Hmm?” Louis raised an eyebrow. “You bowl? To be frank, I hadn’t anticipated that from you.”
“Well, I have a little expertise. I’ve only attempted it a few times, but when you achieve a strike, it’s immensely satisfying!”
Louis thoughtfully rubbed his chin as he looked from Adam and Alexia to the bowling lanes.
“I don’t object, but we face one issue.”
“Hmm?”
In response, Louis gestured towards Adam and Alexia.
“If those two participate, they’ll achieve a strike with every throw. I mean, felling ten pins isn’t the most arduous task for them.”
Adam shrugged.
“I’ve never bowled before, but I’ve witnessed it a few times on television programs and in films. I understand the regulations, and I grasp your point. Alexia and I can simply reduce our power level to the requisite standard, correct?”
“Yep!” Alexia grinned as she approached Louis. “It’s all about skill here; no luck involved! Even without my powers, I’ll easily secure first place!”
Louis narrowed his eyes as he observed Alexia’s confident demeanor.
“Hah, then let’s put it to the test!”
Remarkably, casinos, typically perceived as negative, became not only a reason for Adam and Silvana to reunite with old acquaintances but also an excellent means of relaxation after their recent trials.
Occasionally, one needed to achieve a few strikes at the bowling alley amidst monster hunts. It never caused harm.
