The disciples of the Thirty Third Hall descended onto Planet Cyrus, where crushing gravity and surging flames immediately challenged their resolve, forcing many to stagger or collapse under the onslaught. Some endured through gritted teeth and circulating cultivation, adapting slowly amid sweat and pain, while others relied on the elders' stabilizing power to temper the laws and stand upright. No one was left behind, though exhaustion and awe marked their faces as they realized the planet itself was already weeding out the weak. Led by Elder Roger, the group pressed onward through the scorched landscape to the trial site—a towering structure flanked by glowing domes—arriving last to join hundreds of thousands from the other halls. Elders exchanged greetings, with one from the Twenty Third Hall eyeing Max and pitying his apparent weak cultivation, oblivious to his swift mastery of the world's harsh demands.

Noticing the subtle smirks playing on the faces of the Thirty Third Hall elders, the rival elder's eyebrows furrowed in clear annoyance. His eyes darted back to Max one more time before he uttered in a deep, edged voice. "What is this supposed to mean? Do you truly believe that this kid is going to perform wonders in the trials?"

In that instant, Lady Virelia shifted her gaze toward him, her demeanor serene and composed as she held his stare. A gentle curve touched her lips while she responded smoothly, "You will find out once the trials begin, will you not?"

The elder's scowl grew more intense. He obviously resented the assurance and utter indifference displayed by the Thirty Third Hall elders, particularly Lady Virelia. To his mind, their poise came across as intentional taunting.

"Since you are so confident," he remarked after a short silence, a cunning grin gradually forming on his features, "why do we not test this kid's strength a little right now?"

"There will be no such need," Lady Virelia shot back promptly. Her voice stayed soft, but it brooked no debate. She then strode by him without another look and made her way to the Thirty Third Hall's allocated camp. The rest of her hall's elders trailed after her, guiding their disciples from the assembly area.

The elder who'd suggested the challenge stood rooted in place, utterly disregarded. His cheeks burned with humiliation and fury as he balled his hands into fists. Deep inside, bitterness surged wildly.

'Damn you, Virelia. Just because this kid took away the Sword of the Sword Sovereign does not mean he is truly strong. I will see how your disciples suffer during the Path to Eternal Flames trial.'

This elder went by the name Vale Heron, serving as an elder in the Twenty Fifth Hall. The Twenty Fifth Hall operated under the Heron Family's control, and the deep-seated feud between the Heron Family and the Grimes Family was infamous across the Black Dragon Palace. Due to this ongoing conflict, disputes and sharp exchanges between their allied elders were commonplace.

But on this occasion, Vale Heron had directly confronted Lady Virelia, only for her to brush off his jab completely. The dismissal cut deeper than he had anticipated.

"Just you wait," Vale Heron grumbled quietly as he spun around and headed to the Twenty Fifth Hall's camp, his gaze icy with eagerness for the events ahead.

"Wait patiently here and prepare yourselves for the trials," Lady Virelia instructed the Thirty Third Hall disciples steadily as they assembled in their assigned camp.

She scanned the group briefly before adding, "The trials will begin the moment the seven families arrive."

After that, she spun away and departed with the other Thirty Third Hall elders, moving to join the cluster of elders from fellow halls in the Grimes Family alliance. Their exit stranded the disciples amid the sprawling camps of rival halls and the looming trial formations far off.

While time ticked on, Max idly scanned the nearby surroundings. Right away, he picked up on an odd vibe. Followers from various other halls stared openly at their camp, and most of those looks zeroed in on him. A few held curiosity, others showed respect, but plenty brimmed with blatant enmity.

"Am I really that famous?" Max murmured to himself, equal parts entertained and puzzled.

Carl let out a light laugh nearby. "Famous is an understatement. Right now, you are probably one of the most well known figures in the Divine Realm among the younger generation. I would not be surprised if your face has already gone viral on the Divinet."

"Divinet?" Max creased his brow a bit. "What is that?"

Laura, positioned close by, faced him with rounded eyes. "You seriously do not know what the Divinet is?"

"Should I?" Max replied, rubbing his head with faint awkwardness.

Carl shook his head, grinning. "It is not surprising that you do not know about it, considering you came from the mortal realm not long ago." He halted for a second, pondering the clearest way to describe it. "Think of the Divinet as a massive virtual network. All kinds of information are shared there, from cultivation news and major events to recordings, images, and discussions that spread extremely fast."

"Oh," Max uttered, nodding as comprehension dawned and a grin lit his features. "So it is basically the same as an extranet."

Carl paused briefly, then burst into chuckles. "Yes, that is a good way to put it. In the Divine Realm, we simply call it the Divinet."

It was then that Max spotted the matching wristbands on Carl and Laura. They looked streamlined and emitted a soft glow, obviously no mere trinkets. The view instantly brought to mind the holowatches from Acaris.

"You will need to get one of those wristbands sooner or later," Carl noted, catching Max's attention and raising his left arm a touch. "They are very combat friendly. The moment the wristband senses that your body is releasing Divine Essence, it automatically merges into your skin and becomes invulnerable during battle."

He went on, "They are quite cheap and accessible to almost everyone in the Divine Realm. On top of that, they allow you to stay updated on everything happening across the Divine Realm through the Divinet."

"I will buy one after the trial," Max agreed with a nod. "It sounds like something I really need."

While talking, his gaze wandered again over the endless camps dotting the scarlet plains of Planet Cyrus. Amid hundreds of thousands of disciples and under the scrutiny of countless hidden watchers, Max sensed the burden of the upcoming trials pressing softly into his heart.

As the disciples lingered in their camps, the moments dragged on in thick suspense. Chatter slowly faded, giving way to a strained quiet as all kept stealing looks at the heavens. Unnoticed by most, almost an hour slipped past, the stifling warmth of Planet Cyrus bearing down relentlessly while the mood turned ever graver.

Abruptly, a sharp stir swept through the atmosphere over the trial grounds.

Seven massive star shuttles burst from the blood-red sky all at once, their forms slicing past the swirls of heat and fire like divine creatures plunging from the stars. Every shuttle pulsed with a unique, potent presence, starkly distinct from its neighbors, though each exuded an undeniable command that set the disciples' pulses racing.

The shuttles glided in flawless unison and quickly dropped down, settling in a flawless ring around the trial zone. The earth quivered faintly under their colossal mass, and surges of force radiated out, compelling numerous disciples to brace themselves.

"They are here…"

"The seven main families."

"Finally."

Murmurs raced through the camps as myriad stares fixed on the fresh arrivals. All understood the implication. These seven star shuttles marked the coming of the Black Dragon Clan's seven core families, the unshakeable foundations ruling the palace's peak structure.

Once the shuttles touched ground, an unseen weight seemed to blanket the region. Though no one had emerged, the seven main families' mere presence thickened the air, turning the trials from a far-off prospect into a pressing, inescapable truth.

The Thirty Six Hall Grand Trial was about to truly begin.
