Max faced intense pressure from Malissa of the Heron Family, who demanded his recruitment after his victory over the Grim Gladiator, claiming it as an unbreakable rule despite his protests for freedom. Enraged by his defiance and insults, Malissa unleashed a crushing aura that nearly overwhelmed him, but Max refused to submit, cursing her outright. Lord Arckin of the Grims Family intervened, revealing Max's prior recruitment by Lady Virelia, and shielded him from Malissa's lethal strike before carrying him away from the Divine Colosseum amid her furious threats. Max departed with a vow of future retribution, deepening the rift between him and the Heron Family.

A tranquil woodland stretched out a short distance from the Divine Colosseum, where lofty trees created a natural shield hiding a clearing inside. Nestled in that open area was a gigantic edifice shaped like a space shuttle, its polished metal exterior subtly mirroring the surrounding illumination while tendrils of divine essence floated idly in the breeze.

Silent and still, the shuttle emanated a formidable aura of dominance and superior technology that eclipsed everything found in the mortal worlds.

From above, Lord Arckin arrived with Max, touching down gracefully in front of the shuttle as though the earth itself greeted him warmly. His underling stood ready close by, posture erect and watchful, having evidently arranged all preparations ahead of time.

"You performed admirably, Max," Lord Arckin remarked right after they landed, a pleased grin lighting up his features. "Taking down a fighter nurtured by the Heron Family is quite the achievement, but you handled it so effortlessly. That in itself reveals much about your power." He chuckled softly, obviously delighted by the spectacle he had observed.

"Thank you," Max responded earnestly, pausing briefly before his question emerged, driven by building curiosity. "But who exactly are you?" Rescued in his direst hour by this stranger, he still lacked knowledge of the man's true identity.

Lord Arckin offered a warm smile at the inquiry. "Lady Virelia dispatched me to retrieve you," he explained steadily.

"She did?" Max's face lit up at once, a wave of ease flooding through him as a real smile broke across his lips.

In an instant, a persistent concern that had weighed on him dissolved, since he had dreaded that she might remain unaware of his entrapment in the Divine Colosseum and fail to reach him soon enough.

Lord Arckin gave a nod. "Indeed she did. And that's precisely why we must depart this planet without delay. It's become too dangerous for you to stay." He motioned toward the shuttle then, and along with his underling, escorted Max aboard.

As the shuttle rose into the air and the woodland faded below, Max gazed in wonder at the cabin surroundings. The interior appeared elegant and seamless, brimming with strange devices and luminous formations that buzzed quietly with contained energy.

"What is this?" Max wondered aloud, drawing an unconscious comparison to the void shuttle he had glimpsed once in Acaris, aware that no such craft could operate effectively amid the thick divine essence here.

"This is a Star Shuttle," Lord Arckin answered with a grin. "It serves as one of the standard ways to journey in the Divine Realm. Almost all possess one. Lacking it, crossing between planets would drag on endlessly, even for mighty cultivators."

"I understand," Max acknowledged, giving a nod of comprehension while the shuttle surged ahead, whisking him from the Divine Colosseum toward a destiny brimming with uncertainty and potential.

"Very well, take a seat so I can brief you on key aspects of the Divine Realm before we arrive," Lord Arckin suggested evenly as the Star Shuttle soared onward through the endless void before them.

Max agreed with a nod and settled into one of the numerous chairs inside the shuttle, his stance casual but focused as he paid keen attention. Lord Arckin remained standing near him, fingers interlocked behind his back while he spoke in a measured voice.

"The world you rose to is known as an Ascension Planet. Countless such worlds dot the Divine Realm," he noted with a subtle smile. "Their role is straightforward but vital. These planets help mortals slowly adjust to the weight and richness of Divine Essence within the Divine Realm. Thus, every fresh arrival from the mortal side lands on an Ascension Planet rather than more intense worlds, which would prove utterly crushing."

He halted for a moment, then released a deep breath as his face grew somewhat grave. "Sadly for you, the Ascension Planet you reached falls under Heron Family rule. That delayed my efforts to track you down. Had you emerged on an Ascension Planet controlled by the Grims Family, matters would have unfolded far more smoothly, for both of us."

Max inclined his head gradually, taking in the details before inquiring, "Where are we going next?"

"At present, we're bound for an Ascension Planet under Grims Family oversight," Lord Arckin answered with an encouraging smile. "Upon landing there and once Lady Virelia meets us, she'll escort you herself to the Black Dragon Palace to formally join as a disciple."

Max nodded once more, a feeling of resolution filling his mind. His initial aim in the Divine Realm had centered on gaining a strong ally, and now with Lady Virelia and the Grims Family supporting him, that ambition lay close at hand.

'I must build my strength, and fast,' he mused inwardly, his eyes wandering to the far-off stars visible through the shuttle's viewport. 'Mother and Father are surely still expecting me. And those elves… I'll wipe them out.'

Not long afterward, the Star Shuttle touched down on one of the various Ascension Planets managed by the Grims Family, its environment serene and structured, a stark contrast to the oppressive strain of the Divine Colosseum.

The world exuded steadiness and prestige, with Divine Essence distributed uniformly and much more balanced than what Max had encountered previously.

Lord Arckin, wielding clear dominance in this domain, skipped any ceremonies and led Max directly to his residence, an immense building that dominated the area's heart like an unchallenged symbol of command.

"Make yourself at home here in this residence for the time being," Lord Arckin instructed as he eased into his throne with a composed bearing that radiated undeniable command. "Nearby lies an institution called the Warrior Academy. Feel free to explore it and get acquainted while awaiting Lady Virelia's arrival."

The chamber they occupied evoked a monarch's audience hall, yet it outshone any Max had known, featuring soaring columns, elaborate designs carved into the surfaces, and an air thick with opulence and might.

"Ron, show him to his quarters," Lord Arckin commanded, glancing momentarily at the underling positioned nearby.

"At once, my lord," Ron affirmed with deference before directing his gaze to Max.

Max gave a nod and trailed Ron from the majestic chamber, abandoning Lord Arckin on his throne. After Max's exit, Lord Arckin turned his eyes to yet another underling who lingered.

Of all his followers, just two earned his complete trust. Ron trailed him on every venture, whereas the individual now before him handled the full oversight of the residence and its operations during Lord Arckin's absences. He went by the name Shuko.

"Shuko, seek out Adam," Lord Arckin directed evenly, propping one arm along the throne's edge.

"Adam?" Shuko queried, a flicker of interest in his gaze. "What for, my lord?"
