Da Xuan Martial Saint Chapter 1504 - 722: The End of Tribulation Arrives! (Part 2)

Previously on Da Xuan Martial Saint...
Chen Mu has achieved the status of Dao Venerable and successfully accumulated the experience necessary to begin his final comprehension of the Time Dao. As the universe nears its silent annihilation and the surrounding domains collapse, he has used his supreme power to migrate the living beings of the Da Xuan World to the relative safety of the Origin Realm. Surrounded by the reverence of countless Divine Monarchs, he now faces the impending end of the tribulation era with a tranquil heart. While he has reached the pinnacle of the current universe, his focus remains fixed on the distant, legendary goal of ultimate transcendence.

At this precise moment, Divine Monarch Bei Yu found himself experiencing a surge of emotion, particularly as his gaze fell upon Divine Monarch Nanhua. Observing the intricate expression etched across Divine Monarch Nanhua’s visage, he inwardly sighed, shaking his head gently. Chen Mu’s ascent from the Nanhua Void had presented Divine Monarch Nanhua with a unique opportunity to forge an enduring bond with him, potentially even aligning himself with Chen Mu. Such an alliance might have granted him a path to transcend the universe’s cycle of reincarnation, leading to the dawn of a new cosmic creation.

However, in those bygone days, Divine Monarch Nanhua could not possibly have foreseen the unfolding of today’s events.

...

Primordial Domain.

Currently, the entirety of the vast universe, with the sole exception of the Primordial Domain, had already been consumed by an encroaching darkness.

The immense and sprawling Origin Realm now stood as the universe's only isolated world, yet despite its vastness, it was but a mere speck within the cosmic tapestry.

Within the Origin Realm, nearly the entire expansive Great Realm was embroiled in constant warfare.

The Origin Realm had by now almost entirely gathered the remaining sentient beings from across the vast universe. Many beings, however, found themselves blocked outside, unable to gain entry. Inside the Origin Realm, every patch of land now supported countless races, rendering almost every inch of territory a potential flashpoint for conflict.

Of course,

there were also certain regions that possessed a realm untouched by the pervasive chaos and strife.

For example, after Chen Mu relocated the beings of the Xuan World into the Origin Realm, the territory they occupied remained inviolable, no one daring to invade it. This was because the land, which now housed the beings of the Xuan World, was safeguarded by a supreme Dao Venerable!

In the current Origin Realm, only those factions boasting a Dao Venerable could maintain the last vestiges of stability.

This territory, now occupied by Chen Mu, continued to expand, mirroring the Xuan World of old. For the billions of mortal beings, the only discernible change was the increased richness of the Heaven and Earth’s Yuan Qi, and a noticeable strengthening of all beings’ physical constitutions. Even an ordinary person could effortlessly live for millennia, and with a modicum of Cultivation, ascend to the God Realm.

Yet, within the Origin Realm, the God Realm merely marked the initial step.

Not to mention beings of the God Realm, even the Dominators of the Eighth Layer Heaven’s Divine Monarchs dared not venture outside the Da Xuan Territory without great caution, as the external chaos had reached catastrophic proportions. While the universe’s final tribulation had not yet descended upon the Origin Realm, all beings within it who had attained the God Realm could sense the imminent doom.

Central Da Xuan Territory.

Within a sprawling garden, two figures ambled leisurely.

Chen Mu, clad in a relaxed commoner’s robe, walked beside Xu Hongyu, occasionally sharing tales from the universe. Xu Hongyu followed silently, her steps measured, pausing now and then to absorb his words.

Her realm and strength were insufficient, preventing her from venturing out for training like Chen Yue and Chen Yao. She could not personally experience the universe’s grandeur, but could only glean insights into various matters through Chen Mu’s narratives.

As the ultimate tribulation drew near, Xu Hongyu, listening to Chen Mu, softly uttered:

"Compared to Yao’er, Yue’er’s talent, in the end, is somewhat lacking. I wonder if she can achieve Perfection within the remaining time."

Several epochs prior,

Chen Yao’s Cultivation had broken through, reaching the Nine Layer Heavens.

Following that, a young man from the Yu family lineage, possessing extraordinary talent, rapidly advanced to the Nine Layer Heavens, becoming the sole being outside Chen Mu’s direct kin in the Da Xuan World to achieve this breakthrough.

Subsequently, Chen Mu’s former master, Qin Mengjun, became the third Ninth Layer Heavenly Divine Monarch in the Da Xuan World, apart from Chen Mu himself.

Beyond these three, no others had ascended to the Nine Layer Heavens.

The Nine Layer Heavens was not an accomplishment easily stumbled upon; even with Chen Mu, a Dao Venerable, elevating the entire Da Xuan World’s spiritual level, cultivating beings of the Nine Layer Heavens remained a formidable challenge.

To attain the Nine Layer Heavens, innate talent, propitious opportunities, abundant resources, profound wisdom, and unwavering perseverance were frequently indispensable.

In the Da Xuan World, only those intimately connected to Chen Mu, such as Chen Yue and Chen Yao, who were fortunate enough to receive Chen Mu’s personal guidance and resources, enjoyed such fortune. Others did not share this luck.

In a certain respect, the talent of the young man from the Yu family surpassed Chen Yao’s, for he reached the Nine Layer Heavens largely through his own merit, merely receiving some appreciation and resources from Xu Hongyu during his attempt to break through to the Ninth Layer Heaven.

Besides these three who had already ascended to the Nine Layer Heavens, Chen Yue was the one on whom Xu Hongyu placed her highest hopes.

Throughout her Cultivation journey, Chen Yue relied heavily on her own willpower. Still, Chen Mu had invested the most effort, care, guidance, and resources into her.

Although Chen Yue’s talent was respectable, she was significantly inferior to those rare prodigies born once every few millennia. Her ability to keep pace with her realm was, indeed, largely attributable to Chen Mu’s favoritism.

"She can do it."

Upon hearing Xu Hongyu’s words, Chen Mu directed his gaze towards a distant palace, Chen Yue’s place of seclusion. Since departing from the Source Realm, she had entered a profound state of seclusion, which continued to this very day.

As if to validate Chen Mu’s assertion, immediately after he finished speaking, an imposing surge of power erupted from that palace, instantly permeating the surroundings, subtly hinting at the imminent arrival of the Power of Dao.
