Da Xuan Martial Saint Chapter 1497 - Capítulo 1497: 719: Endless Source Realm
Previously on Da Xuan Martial Saint...
Chen Mu departed from Wuxiang Mountain with Chen Yue and Chen Yao in tow. In the mere span of a heartbeat, the trio had already arrived at the mountain's outermost perimeter.
Within the Source Realm, domains do not share direct borders or follow the conventional geography of the mortal world. As Chen Mu guided his companions to the edge of Wuxiang Mountain, they were met with the sight of a boundless, pitch-black Abyss that effectively severed the heavens from the earth.
For any entity below the level of a Dao Venerable, crossing between domains in the Source Realm is an impossible feat. Even a Ninth Layer Heavenly Divine Monarch who has achieved Three Veins Perfection cannot traverse these gaps on their own. In this realm, domains are fundamentally isolated by vast expanses of Primordial Power.
Only a Dao Venerable possesses the strength to navigate the Source Realm with such effortless grace.
“Break.”
Chen Mu’s gaze remained steady as he stared into the Abyss that tore through the landscape. Lifting his right hand, he pressed forward with a light touch. He summoned the surging power of the Void Dao, which converged with violent intensity before erupting into a sharp, piercing strike.
Crack!!!
The barrier of Primordial Power that isolated the domain was shattered by Chen Mu’s single blow. Massive white fractures, spanning thousands of miles, spiderwebbed across the void. At the point of impact, the barrier crumbled entirely, carving out a functional passage.
Without wasting a moment, Chen Mu flicked his sleeve, enveloping Chen Yue and Chen Yao in a protective shroud of Void light. He then transformed into a streak of ghostly radiance and vanished into the newly formed tunnel.
...
The domain of Wuxiang City was a land Chen Mu had previously used for Cultivation, making him quite familiar with its layout. However, he lacked that same familiarity with the other domains within the Source Realm. Many of these regions were completely sealed off by Primordial Power, making them impenetrable to most.
Once they had successfully navigated the barrier, a strange and unsettling landscape stretched out before Chen Mu and his followers.
“The aura in this place feels incredibly bizarre.”
Sensing the shift in their surroundings, both Chen Yue and Chen Yao adopted expressions of deep gravity.
They could perceive the lethal nature of this shadowed environment. At the moment, they were shielded by Chen Mu’s immense power. Had they been without his protection, the pure darkness of this realm would have instantly eroded their Divine Power, extinguishing it without a sound.
“I see, so these are the local laws.”
Chen Mu’s eyes swept across the desolate land. Within seconds, he had deciphered the fundamental rules governing this domain.
This domain is ruled by darkness and nihility. No living soul can endure the absolute shadow for long; failing to find protection would mean even a Ninth Layer Heavens Perfection Divine Monarch would see their Divine Power slowly consumed by the gloom.
To survive, one is required to find a unique ‘fireseed’ to provide light. Only through this light can the encroaching darkness be repelled.
Furthermore, various monstrous beasts prowl within the shadows, and the fireseed serves the dual purpose of keeping these creatures at bay.
Unlike the bustling Wuxiang City, this place lacked grand civilizations. Instead, it was home to scattered tribes of various sizes. The largest of these settlements held no more than ten thousand residents. While most were indigenous beings, a few were Ninth Layer Heavenly Divine Monarchs from outside worlds who had chosen this harsh environment as their training ground.
Compared to Wuxiang City, the conditions here were far more brutal, and the acquisition of resources was significantly more difficult.
As they followed Chen Mu, Chen Yue and Chen Yao listened to his breakdown of the domain's laws. They attempted to use their own understanding of the Creation Dao to sense the Heaven and Earth Rules, but their connection remained faint. Without Chen Mu’s guidance, it would have taken them an age to grasp the truth of this place.
“The Yellow Flame Void contains secret realms similar to this, but the suppression exerted by heaven and earth there isn't nearly as overwhelming as it is in the Source Realm. Here, a Ninth Layer Heavenly Divine Monarch finds their strength suppressed to a level below even a Grandmaster Martial Saint in the Mortal World,” Chen Yue remarked, her eyes shimmering with realization.
“Indeed, that is the standard state of affairs within the Source Realm.”
Chen Mu nodded slightly, adding, “The Source Realm is primarily composed of Primordial Power. The potent Great Dao Rules woven into it cannot be defied by anyone short of a Dao Venerable. This holds true for the majority of domains.”
“There isn't much of interest in this particular domain, save for the fireseeds.”
As he spoke, Chen Mu stepped deeper into the obsidian dark.
Chen Yue and Chen Yao followed him without a second thought. Even though the heavy, suffocating atmosphere of the darkness pressed against them—creating a sense of hidden dangers lurking just out of sight—they felt no fear with Chen Mu leading them.
The darkness masking the world parted silently before Chen Mu, as the gloom was powerless to dim the light of the Great Dao radiating from him. After leading them through the void for a short time, a spark appeared ahead—a magnificent glow hovering in the air like a lone ember.
“A fireseed.”
With a casual wave of his hand, Chen Mu drew the floating spark into his palm. He gave it a brief glance before losing interest and tossing it back to Chen Yue and Chen Yao. “Take this and examine it closely.”
Chen Yue caught the radiant fireseed. The moment its light washed over her, the biting chill of the surrounding darkness vanished, replaced by a soothing warmth that flowed through her entire being.
