Cultivating for a hundred lifetimes to ascension Chapter 1384: 744: Alien Demon Proclaims Itself as the Immortal Clan (Part 2)

Previously on Cultivating for a hundred lifetimes to ascension...
After dodging pursuit for half a month, a heavily injured Baili Shouguang finds himself cornered by an Alien Demon who has usurped his senior brother’s identity. The entity leads a terrifying beast tide of possessed creatures, utilizing master-level disguises that baffle even the most powerful cultivators. Realizing he cannot outrun the overwhelming devil qi and the sinister Mo Xingkong, Baili Shouguang makes a desperate final stand by activating the Great Five Elements Killing Array. As a massive maze of lethal traps and elemental prohibitions rises to meet the encroaching horde, the Alien Demon prepares to end his cruel game and seize his prey.

Still, this did not prevent it from mimicking the tactics of the Human Clan, broadcasting directives to the massive horde of beasts under its control.

Upon its command, a multitude of demon beasts dove into the thick mist without a moment's pause.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Successive, earth-shaking explosions rang out as hundreds of demon beasts slammed straight into the golden stone rampart, being pulverized into sprays of blood and meat sludge.

The golden stone high wall shook violently as bursts of golden light flared out, yet the fortification remained entirely solid, lacking even a single fissure.

A vast swarm of demon beasts soon located several paths into the maze and surged inside, never to be seen again.

The maze entrances functioned like black holes; regardless of how many demon beasts poured in, they could never be filled.

“Mo Xingkong” quickly perceived that many of his Demon Thought Sub-bodies were dying rapidly, their ends both strange and terrifying.

A frown creased his brow as a glint of dark light flickered within his pupils.

In the following instant, the green giant python and the ghost-faced giant spider took action, soaring atop demon clouds as they charged into the mist and burrowed deep into the labyrinth.

Both creatures were Eleventh Rank Demon Emperors, possessing combat power equivalent to Divinity Transformation Cultivators.

Consequently, standard traps and killing arrays were powerless to stop them.

Tearing a path of destruction as they went, the two demons swiftly bypassed the outer regions of the maze and reached the inner sanctum.

At the very heart of the labyrinth, Baili Shouguang let out a soft breath. The Turn Tribulation Sword remained suspended before his knees, vibrating gently while radiating a sword light as clear as water.

“Go!”

He executed a sword seal with his fingers and spoke softly. The Turn Tribulation Sword took flight, shifting into a thread of sword silk that sliced through the mist.

Simultaneously, “Mo Xingkong” pushed his Divine Thought outward and clearly “witnessed” his two sub-bodies rampaging through the maze, nearing its center. A faint smirk touched his lips.

“Junior Brother, why must you fail to grasp my kindness? Wouldn't it be better to simply become a part of the Hang Emperor Immortal Clan with me?” Mo Xingkong sighed, whispering to himself.

The Alien Demon Clan identified themselves as the Hang Emperor Immortal Clan. Their entire race worshipped the Hang Emperor Ancestor and took pride in being descendants of the Taoist Ancestor, thus asserting themselves as an Immortal Clan!

While the beast tide encircled the Five Elements Mist and Mo Xingkong felt certain of his triumph.

Nearby, on the slope of an unremarkable hill, a three-foot-tall child suddenly poked his head out from the earth, covertly watching the scene. His two dark eyes spun with mischief, as if he were dreaming up a prank.

“What a racket! Master is in seclusion; I won't permit these beasts to interrupt Master’s Cultivation. This works out perfectly since I'm hungry anyway. I'll use you lot to fill my belly!”

The Mountain Dragon, Xiao Jin, muttered to himself before retracting into the soil, vanishing instantly.

Seconds later, the earth shuddered slightly. The ground beneath the beast horde suddenly and silently collapsed. Countless demon beasts were unable to react before being dragged underground by a massive suction, vanishing in a flash.

Shortly after, a colossal black abyss nearly ten thousand feet wide opened where they had stood, bottomless and dark.

The earth sealed itself up quickly, only for another sinkhole to open elsewhere, once more devouring thousands of demon beasts in a single gulp.

The ground kept collapsing, with deep pits appearing and vanishing one after another.

In the span of a single breath, entire sections of the demon beast army disappeared.

The horde fell into an immediate panic, howling as they scattered in every direction.

This bizarre occurrence quickly drew the attention of Mo Xingkong.

Witnessing this, he was nearly consumed by rage; his original million-strong army had been slashed by nearly a third in an instant.

Seeing the earth continue to sink and the beasts being swallowed by the giant holes with no hope of escape.

“Mo Xingkong” felt a shiver of dread and immediately sharpened his alertness.

The formidable demon beasts surrounding him drew closer, forming a protective circle around their master.

Mo Xingkong reached out to his Demon Thought Sub-bodies again, using their sight to vaguely “perceive” walls of flesh surrounding them, lined with rows of razor-sharp sawteeth. These teeth ground everything in their path, reducing countless demon beasts to pulp before they plunged into total darkness.

Sawteeth? Walls of flesh?

Could they be inside the gullet of a massive entity?

If that were the case, just how gargantuan was the true form of this beast?

“Could it be a... Void Realm Great Demon?! If I could claim this beast for myself, my rank within the clan would surely skyrocket!”

“Mo Xingkong” mused silently, a sudden desire to possess the creature taking root in his mind.

He glanced at the protective beasts by his side and felt a sense of security. Composing himself, he sat cross-legged and pulled a gourd from his belt.

He tilted the gourd's opening, chanted several spells, and struck the base of the vessel with his palm.

A dark vortex formed at the mouth of the gourd, followed by a brilliant flash of light. Grains of dark red crystal showered out like rain, falling toward the earth.

As soon as these crystals hit the ground, they turned into squirming shadows that dove into the soil like lightning.

Momentarily, the earth beneath them swelled into a massive mound before exploding, hurlng soil into the sky.

A giant, dark-gold “flesh pillar” erupted toward the heavens, striking at the Three-tailed Giant Tiger in the air and whipping up a dirt storm with a roar that rattled the world.

Suddenly, a pervasive yellow Mystic Light blanketed the sky, extending for a hundred miles. It froze both the man and the tiger in place, rendering them immobile!

“Mo Xingkong” was struck with terror, watching helplessly as a vast, horrific maw opened to consume him. He was unable to snap his bonds.

In that instant, he was overwhelmed by despair, feeling regret for his arrogance for the very first time.

Before he could finish his thoughts, he and the demon tiger were swallowed whole by the Mountain Dragon, offering no resistance at all.

Mo Xingkong’s Cultivation was only at the late-stage of Divinity Transformation; how could he possibly rival a Mountain Dragon of the Returning to Void Realm!

It could only be said that his greed had clouded his judgment, leading him to provoke an enemy far beyond his strength.

As the yellow Mystic Light retracted, the Mountain Dragon’s massive form shrank rapidly, transforming back into a three-foot-tall, plain-looking child.

Mountain Dragon Xiao Jin rubbed his stomach, feeling he hadn't quite eaten his fill. He couldn't help but cast a longing look at the retreating demon beasts.

“Forget it, being seventy percent full is enough. Protecting Master is the priority!” Xiao Jin muttered with a bit of reluctance.

However, he failed to notice that among the fleeing horde, over a hundred beasts possessed eyes that shone with a distinct, intelligent Wisdom Light.

The main branch of the Alien Demon Clan possesses the technique of “Gathering and Dispersing by Thought, Dividing into Thousands.”

Though “Mo Xingkong” was the primary body, he was not truly dead as long as a single Demon Thought Sub-body survived.

After a long period, one of these “Sub-bodies” would eventually develop into a new member of the Alien Demon Clan.

The natural “immortal” trait of the Alien Demon Clan was exactly why they were so difficult to eliminate.

Bang, bang, bang!

The hundred-plus “Demon Thought Sub-bodies” hadn't fled far before they all suddenly detonated.

The shadows attempting to hide in the earth were instantly wiped out by a hidden power.

Mountain Dragon Xiao Jin’s face lit up with joy. He landed on the ground and turned toward the hillside behind him.

At that moment, Zhao Xuanjing rose slowly from the earth. His form appeared much more "solid" than it had three years prior, yet his aura was even more ethereal, carrying the faint air of an Immortal.

“Master, you’ve finished your seclusion?” Xiao Jin rushed forward, crying out in delight.

Zhao Xuanjing looked at him, then turned his gaze toward the Five Elements Mist in the distance, saying calmly: “You caused such a disturbance! How was I supposed to continue my Cultivation?”

With those words, his form glided forward.

Xiao Jin scratched his head sheepishly and followed close behind.

In a heartbeat, Zhao Xuanjing reached the edge of the mist and flicked his wrist.
