Cici, a reporter for a prominent newspaper, arrives in the vibrant capital of Dravemont with colleagues Rynel and Marra to cover the International Arcane Academy Competition, where nations showcase their arcane prowess. The city pulses with festivals, enchanted vendors, and airships, as journalists jostle for rumors on prodigy students like Laethorn Pyrrhus, a lava spirit summoner, and Devan Marron, a forbidden curses master, alongside innovators in beast arts, runes, and more. Innovations in spells, stabilizing runes, and competition artifacts draw awe, while leaked rewards—including Sovereign-grade artifacts, Immortal Beast Blood, divine essence, forbidden spell models, and a personal boon from Queen Sabrina—elevate the stakes for all contenders.

Upon hearing the Queen’s name, a multitude of locals couldn’t resist expressing their praise. She stood as a figure truly deserving of the throne.

"Then I want to see this event personally!"

"I hope I get to see her again."

"That’s an honor... I wonder what kind of personal reward she gives."

"Ahh... Just seeing her once a month is a blessing!"

Queen Sabrina had occupied the throne for merely five months, but her leadership already resembled a wondrous phenomenon. Previously, she served as a mere concubine within the royal palace, ignored and undervalued. However, when a enigmatic illness ravaged the court, taking the lives of the king, the queen, and the other concubines, the realm appeared on the brink of ruin.

Whispers of downfall, internal strife, and opportunistic forces vying for power circulated widely.

Nevertheless, Sabrina endured against the odds.

The method of her survival remained unknown to all, as others fell.

After all, details were concealed, and the reality appeared shrouded in deep secrecy.

Yet, right before civil war could erupt, the Queen took charge of the situation...

Truly, the key lay in her subsequent actions. Defying all predictions, Sabrina achieved extraordinary feats.

During her governance, the Luminara Kingdom flourished beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.

Arcanists received unprecedented rights. Costs of food decreased, levies were reduced, and employment opportunities multiplied with building initiatives expanding nationwide. Agriculture improved through magical implements provided to rural areas. Criminal activities dropped sharply due to innovative regulations and impartial judicial systems. The outright ban on slavery stunned the elites but won the adoration of ordinary folk.

Commerce boomed, urban areas grew, and an atmosphere of optimism ignited like a blaze.

Princes, dukes, and envoys from abroad started dispatching marriage offers, desiring her union.

Still, Sabrina stayed resolute. Her allegiance remained solely to her realm, rejecting unions or pacts for self-interest.

Her unwavering commitment enhanced her enigmatic charm.

Cici, absorbing tales in pubs and plazas, found herself tempted to pen a piece on Queen Sabrina.

The queen’s ascent formed the sort of narrative that would enthrall audiences continent-wide. Yet she dismissed the idea with a shake of her head.

Such a subject might prove hazardous. Moreover, her task was straightforward; she needed to concentrate on the tournament. The queen’s chronicle could be postponed.

The next two days flew by swiftly.

Come the morning of the third day, Cici and her companions positioned themselves at the platform’s brink, observing another airship’s approach.

This craft displayed the emblem of the Ruri Kingdom.

It appeared smaller compared to the majestic ships from Solstice or Millton. Regardless, the Ruri Academy’s vessel, though unassuming, demanded respect.

"Ruri Academy," Marra murmured, lifting her magical viewer. "They’ve arrived."

Cici hurriedly wrote notes, compelled to document the sequence of arrivals for the occasion.

All the same, Ruri Academy represented the jewel of its modest nation, and although it didn’t cover every one of the twelve disciplines, it excelled in three: the Dark Arts, Elemental Arts, and Mystic Arts.

Within hours of their landing registration, details circulated rapidly. Each of the three Arcane Arts featured three entrants as anticipated... In essence, they transported just 9 pupils.

Even so, their leading Dark Arts talent was Ken, a fifteen-year-old lad whose shadow incantations rivaled those of Vermont Academy veterans...

Moreover, tales suggested he had already conquered the , a Prohibited Dark Art in the majority of realms.

Their Elemental Arts genius had joined as well. Known as Syra, this fourteen-year-old maiden could evoke fiery serpents. Onlookers attested that she once unleashed a fiery tempest devouring a whole practice field.

Their Mystic Arts competitor was Owen, a youth with silvery gaze. Legends said he manipulated reality’s fabric, crafting deceptions so vivid that instructors labored to dispel them.

Cici’s pen flew over the parchment, recording each fact.

"Ruri Academy might be modest," Rynel grumbled, "but those three stand as solid rivals... I learned of them back when I served in Eustace City."

At that instant, Marra clicked another image, seizing the scene as the Ruri students exited the enrollment hall...

Their attire was plain, yet their gazes blazed with resolve.

The plaza buzzed increasingly as additional airships from far-off lands touched down. Journalists dashed about, calling out identities, swapping gossip, and hurrying to dispatch reports to their superiors.

Suddenly, silence enveloped the assembly.

Whom~

From the distant skyline, an enormous ship neared... its flags displaying the mark of Vale’s Shadow Country, accompanied by the Academy’s standard.

"Marshall Academy," Cici breathed, thrilled.

The Academy arrived precisely on schedule. Nonetheless, witnessing their entrance stirred her enthusiasm uncontrollably.

The airship settled gradually at the pier, overshadowing the surrounding vessels with ease...

Learners and educators arrayed on the prow, their forms outlined against the dawn light.

Cici grinned, her thrill scarcely restrained.

"Marra, capture this. This is the moment."

Marra hoisted her enchanted lens, clicking the shot.

The advent of Vale’s Marshall Academy transcended a simple docking; it marked the event all had anticipated...

Expectations weighed heavily on this institution. Not only was it recent, but it had been founded by an Immortal.

No rival school could replicate such a feat!

Additionally, nations were aware of their Immortal Dragons, Immortal Vampire, Angels, Asura, and various Celestial Entities!

Vale’s domain brimmed with untouchable existences.

Should anyone attempt its downfall, it would require whispers or publications, not direct confrontation.

Yet, the moment the fearsome-bannered Airship appeared, countless locals halted, straining to glimpse an Immortal’s form.

Such a sight was far from commonplace!

Meanwhile, aboard the Marshall Academy’s airship, Vale’s Avatar cast a look toward the Kingdom’s fortress...

His senses warned of a perilous entity concealed there...

However, despite deploying his Divine Sense and numerous Spells, nothing surfaced!

’Strange...’ Vale muttered as he turned to Issyl, his new Dark Spirit.
