Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 1885: Seven turn medicine

Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Qiuqiu relentlessly crashed into the Gurui Star Race warrior, enduring piercings from branch-like cones and lashes from white whips, while the two recovering Novices watched in stunned horror. Frustrated by the futile assaults, the spherical life form anchored itself with elastic filaments to the ground and surroundings, then uprooted the rooted warrior with explosive force. The Novices sacrificed their bodies to delay the counterattacks, suffering grievous wounds, as Qiuqiu flung the dazed enemy skyward and smashed it repeatedly into the earth, creating craters amid flying debris. Exhausted, Qiuqiu finally released the battered warrior before the injured Novices, urging them to finish the fight.

Qiuqiu leaped into the fray, partnering with the pair of Novices to eliminate a single Gurui Star Race fighter. The impact of this action on the overall conflict proved immensely crucial.

Earlier, that Gurui Star Race combatant had slain one Novice and seized total dominance. Should he manage to overcome the surviving two Novices, the skirmish would essentially conclude.

Among the leftover twelve individuals, discounting Ye Zhongming who remained unable to participate, along with He whose energies were largely depleted and whose role leaned toward support, just ten fighters stood ready. They stood no chance against three formidable Gurui Star Race adversaries.

Yet with this, a Gurui Star Race fighter lay dead. For the Novices, the toll included one fatality and two gravely wounded. It wasn't a total triumph for the Novices, yet it fulfilled their earlier objective—and surpassed it—by holding back one foe.

From the moment the Gurui Star Race member felled the Novice, through Qiuqiu's sudden entry and clash, right up to the battle's resolution, the entire sequence unfolded in mere moments. Consequently, as this front wrapped up, those on the other two battle lines stared in brief shock.

Elsewhere, three Novices struggled desperately, utterly overpowered by the Gurui Star Race warrior. Tactics like harassing or dodging to stall held little effect. The foe kept advancing toward the central fight, compelling them to hold the line fiercely without giving ground.

Still, the vast power disparity posed an inescapable issue. Without one ally's exceptional defensive prowess, and later the aid of He’s water chains as they neared her range—with He redirecting a chain onto that defender to bolster his safeguards—they might have already incurred losses.

In the core arena, seven warriors confronted a lone opponent. Each side essentially swapped blows for blows. He’s assistance instilled boldness in these Novices, while gear acquired from Ye Zhongming in the prior break enhanced their resolve, urging them to brave harm in order to scar the Gurui Star Race fighter. Gradually, the group amassed countless cuts, reaching dozens in total. The Gurui Star Race member suffered heavily too; though merely around ten strikes landed, all focused on him alone, worsening his condition steadily.

During combat, even minor damage can evolve into a fatal weakness as time drags on.

Furthermore, for whatever reason, the top Novice perched there with shut eyes, recuperating, exerted tremendous strain on him. He couldn't predict when this Novice might rouse or what upheaval he'd unleash upon the fight once alert.

Gulu gulu.

A tiny vial landed before the two badly hurt Novices fresh from slaying the Gurui Star Race warrior.

"Take two pills apiece. Swallow one, grind the other to dust and spread it uniformly over the injuries."

He’s words floated across.

The eyes of the two wounded Novices brightened.

They might lack deep familiarity with Ye Zhongming, yet they recognized the Changxu Water Race member intimately. They trusted she bore potent remedies.

With her tossing medicine their way amid their dire state, it had to heal them effectively.

Truth be told, their wounds, though heavy, didn't imperil their lives. Normally, such hurts could wait, managed with basic salves to stem worsening.

But He offering aid in this pinch signaled a remedy potent enough to mend them—or at least restore much of their fighting strength.

They swiftly obeyed He’s guidance, applying the pills. To their shock, warmth surged through their bodies. What followed utterly reshaped their view of healing arts.

In the gaps of their bodily framework, bloody vapors formed and shifted. As the vapors flowed, lost tissues reformed...

This wondrous sight left the duo of Novices utterly dazed.

Restoring lost limbs ranked among feats achievable by cosmic races today, via various techniques. Still, none they knew acted so swiftly. Standard healing solutions demanded seven to ten cosmic days for full regrowth, plus over a dozen more for rehab to count as healed. Organ involvement complicated matters further; crafting tailored fluids alone spanned five or six cosmic days.

Yet here, progress suggested completion in roughly five minutes!

Could this be a godly elixir?

"Hand the bottle back."

He spoke with mild annoyance. The two Novices hurled it over promptly.

A few pills lingered within. They realized each could command sky-high value elsewhere. Temptation stirred, a desire to pocket them, yet rationality prevailed. They held He in lofty regard now, vowing never to cross her. Befriending—or allying with—such a figure promised survival security!

He needed no glance to read their minds. This 'Myriad Recovery Pill' qualified as seven-turn medicine, a key asset in her arsenal.

Though He possessed ten sigils, enabling theoretical ten-turn refinement, the odds plummeted disastrously, eroding her assurance.

To date, six-turn marked her peak for reliable success without net loss. Beyond that, rare ingredients rendered failures too costly to offset.

Thus, this Myriad Recovery Pill stood among her scarce elite remedies. Absent the urgent crisis—where the ongoing clashes appeared stable yet hid perils, with the two Gurui Star Race warriors liable to unleash desperate techniques anytime—she'd never reveal it.

Worse, victory aside, what if reinforcements arrived? What if three more Gurui Star Race powerhouses showed?

While Ye Zhongming stayed sidelined, bolstering the team's active fighters raised odds of enduring the rest of the ordeal.

This weighed not just Ye Zhongming's fate but He’s own survival too.

Sensing the dire turn, and witnessing the two hurt Novices mend at speed, the Gurui Star Race warriors ramped up to frenzied assaults. Delay meant no further shots.

The Gurui Star Race fighter facing the trio of Novices bellowed. Bark-like armor erupted over his form from inside, reshaping him into a tree-like being save for his gaze. Though his pace slowed in this mode, his strikes quickened dramatically.

The shielded Novice, guarded by He’s water chain, misjudged the shift. Expecting the enemy to evade his descending blade as usual, he watched instead as the foe stood firm and countered with a fist.

The blade bit into the Gurui Star fighter's neck, barely a millimeter deep, etching only a shallow groove. But that fist demolished the detached water chain and hurled the Novice away. A massive gash bloomed at the impact site.

The force proved horrifyingly immense.

The other two Novices faltered too, pulling back on reflex to dodge. The Gurui Star Race member laughed sinisterly, breached their barrier, and joined the central clash, trapping the seven attacking his ally in a vise. Compounding the peril, he now menaced He directly, her form rooted in place...
