Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2955: 600: Nightmare Four Emperors!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Supreme treasures remain highly coveted in the Pan-Plane, with the Nora Council stocking and capable of forging new ones from ancient legacies. In the Land of Darkness, Master Bao Long signs a long-term agreement to forge these artifacts for mysterious clients, his neutrality guarded by a grim warehouse of slain intruders. The Fire Sovereign slumbers restlessly in the Red Plane, sword at hand, awaiting the signal for war amid reflections on his fateful choice 300,000 years ago. In the Nightmare World's Domain of Ignorance, the enlightened Ignorant Monarch—strategist among the Nightmare Four Emperors—agrees to join the Devouring Sky Demon Lord's coalition for a purge on the Pan-Plane, insisting on commanding key battles.

The Devouring Sky Demon Lord and his companions burst into laughter, declaring:

"No issue at all, we get it completely."

Everyone was familiar with the Ignorant Monarch's disposition.

They raised no complaints; across almost a hundred thousand years, they had fought countless wars of all sizes in the astral realm, and among those involving the Ignorant Monarch, nine in every ten ended in triumph!

The one exception hardly qualified as a defeat, since the Great Prophet's intervention led to a stalemate where neither side could overpower the other, prompting a mutual withdrawal.

During their return journey, the Blood Sea Mosquito Lord expressed his excitement:

"Having the Ignorant Monarch fight alongside us guarantees victory this round!"

The Void Demon Lord grinned wickedly and boasted:

"I’m eager to witness the frosty Frost Witch’s shocked expression as she lies helpless under my control, hahahaha."

...

A decade passed.

Nora Calendar 1960, Blood Battle 1848.

As the policy of rewarding supreme treasures from Nora echoed throughout the Pan-Plane, the adage "great rewards draw the bold" held firm, drawing a level 10 powerhouse to Nora shortly thereafter.

On that particular day, over the Sorren Continent,

a formidable entity like a drifting jellyfish appeared, its body semi-transparent, backed by wings, and faintly showing humanoid feminine traits, as it descended.

Lady Echo Ico.

An early-stage level 10 powerhouse, her actual form belongs to the Echo Clan, expert in sound and mental spells, control techniques, and transformation paths.

Legend has it she employs the [Echo Technique] to partially imitate and copy the powers of those she faces, albeit less potently than the originals.

Yet, in certain combats, this ability shines remarkably.

"Welcome to Nora, Lady Echo."

Edmund himself arrived to receive her.

"It troubles me that the Grand Council Chairman welcomes me personally. I arrived upon hearing of the call for level 10 mercenaries. I seek a supreme treasure, and after fulfilling my task, I’ll depart."

Lady Echo cut directly to the chase.

"Understood, but I must clarify from the start: the supreme treasure holds immense value, requiring all to sign a contract overseen by our council’s round table. Violating it, unless you possess supreme power, invites inevitable doom."

"That’s fine."

In this way, Lady Echo joined as Nora’s inaugural level 10 mercenary, securing a provisional spot on the Supreme Council as a "guest consultant."

She also claimed the supreme treasure [Nebula Shroud], which hides perceptions, generates illusions, and traps foes, holding rank 52.

Following Lady Echo’s achievement, within the next ten years, two additional level 10 powerhouses arrived in Nora and obtained supreme treasures, staying temporarily.

They were [Chaotic Heaven Saint] and [Star Shining Tyrant].

The first, an early-stage level 10 strength specialist, lacked a supreme treasure at first, yet in Pan-Plane rankings, he outranked the Holy War Army Master, mainly due to his [Chaotic Sky Clan] true form, innately commanding space, achieving proficiency at level 10.

Together with the Void Emperor, they form the Pan-Plane’s renowned [Space Double Kings].

Chaotic Heaven Saint received the [Sealing Star Mad Blade], ranked 48, empowering space lockdown and total destruction, ideally suiting his skills. Clearly, the council selects supreme treasures tailored to each powerhouse’s strengths.

The Star Shining Tyrant hails from the Star Shining Clan, a pinnacle of the Black Luster Clan, dubbed the "Little Amethyst Race" in the Pan-Plane, boasting Vajra-like indestructibility and unparalleled divine might.

At mid-stage level 10, he acquired the council’s [Fury Fist], a gauntlet enhancing strength and velocity to unleash maximum devastation.

Within a mere twenty years, three level 10 powerhouses had made the journey.

This highlighted the supreme treasures’ irresistible pull.

Despite awareness of the Giant World foe, they traveled from distant realms, planning to exit post-mission.

Two years onward.

The Master of Black Prison arrived, adept at confining adversaries, rumored to harbor an internal prison space that subdues numerous mighty enemies, at early-stage level 10. He secured the supreme treasure [Flame Lord Magic Ring], enabling flame spells that incinerate everything.

At this juncture, with four external helpers included,

Nora’s level 10 powerhouses totaled 40, plus the Void Holy Temple and Shadow World each gaining one more, reaching 63 across all three factions at level 6!

This ignited the Nightmare World’s frantic buildup, racing to enlist additional Nightmare Lords to crush this motley rebel group in a single strike!

...

Ancient Banyan Fairyland.

In the midst of escalating super war tensions, Levi diligently pursued cultivation, reverting to the rigorous focus of his early Black Water Lord days, grasping every available instant.

On this occasion, following his meditation session.

He laid his hand upon the Klein Crystal Ball.

[Spiritual Force: 74000/77000]

...

Across the prior century, his spiritual force had risen by 2000 points, the maximum by 1000 points, approaching the 80,000 cap.

One side saw him refining assorted farming-related oddities, while the other involved boosting the limit via extra sequence artifacts.

For Levi, reaching 80,000 proved ample.

This already exceeded the norm by 10,000 points.

In spellwork, the sealing sequence progressed to "Eight Gates Sealing," yielding superb outcomes, now commonly used by primordial soul wizards.

As for the Rune Language.

[Fool Rune] advanced to level 17, amplifying trickery and Power of Foreknowledge by 250%; [Magic Rune] to level 16, hastening casting by 200%; [Hanging Rune] to level 14, elevating elemental resistance by 160%; Justice Rune to level 12, increasing damage versus dark creatures by 120%.

Moreover,

In the earlier seclusion within the Black Water World, Levi had also mastered two fresh Rune Languages.

Levi————————

Empress Rune: Level 7 (1/50,000), Special Effect: Power of Soul Tiger Star.

Judgement Rune: Level 7 (1/50,000), Special Effect: Golden Pheasant Star Power.

...

The Empress Rune offered an unusual enhancement, termed [Soul Strength], and Levi’s prolonged experiments revealed it chiefly improved meditation output, resisted psychic assaults, and bolstered spells aimed at the psyche and resolve.

The Judgement Rune’s boost focused on [Spiritual Damage], particularly augmenting harm from mental strikes on one end, and against spiritual beings on the other, like Nightmare Creatures or Star Realm entities.

The "Book of Starforge Runes" outlined numerous Rune Languages, yet Levi’s trials showed most were uncultivable, evidently from star beasts’ extinction, fragmented and devoured by Heavenly Fathers, severing their faith sources.

Some were cultivable but, akin to the Hermit Rune, stalled at level 1 or 2, with effects too minor to matter.

The final group, though cultivable, yielded middling gains, so Levi learned the fundamentals then abandoned them to avoid pointless effort.

From the count of viable Rune Languages under his command, Levi approximated that surviving, concealed Star Gods numbered under thirty.

Of the Twelve Signs, he had collected 11, lacking only the Dragon.

In the full "Book of Starforge Runes," the most coveted for cultivation were [Star Rune] and [World Rune]. Regrettably, both eluded practice as they embodied [Star Dragon King] and [Origin Divine Tree].

The first had ascended to Faith God status, biding its time.

The second had crumbled to dust, with scant descendants lingering.
