Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2946: 598: The God Race’s Grand Ceremony (part 2)

The golden-haired old man gave a nod and spoke:
"Fine, should I claim that ultimate treasure back then, I'll grant you some leniency for the sake of our long-standing bond."
The man with the hooked nose chuckled and replied:
"Same here."
With that, a tremendous aura burst from both of them, turning into twin streaks of golden radiance that sliced through the fog and clouds, plunging further inside. A golden Wizard Tool in the shape of a compass materialized in the hook-nosed man's grasp, pointing the way amid the haze. He looked over and spotted the golden-haired old man shifting into a massive golden ape.
Towering at thirty thousand zhang in height, the beast's golden fur stood on end like sharp steel spikes, extending outward in every direction to sense the area around. Even top level 9 powerhouses found their Perception severely diminished in this fog.
Time flew by swiftly, bringing them to two years afterward.
These two, the golden-haired elder and the hook-nosed fellow, ranked as hidden powerhouses across the Pan-Plane, certain they could roam freely anywhere shy of level 10.
Yet, they could scarcely believe how a simple veil of mist had boxed them in with no escape, stuck for two full years without spotting a way out! Worse still, the fog had split them apart, leaving them unable to reunite and filling them with dread.
Just like that, eight more years slipped away.
Nora Calendar 1890.
Still lost in the mist, the golden-haired elder and the hook-nosed man roamed endlessly, their mighty Willpower pushed to the edge of breaking by the relentless torment. Across the last ten years, they'd attempted every trick they knew.
Yet every one failed!
This reality confirmed it: the area was a total no-go zone.
Only those at level 10 could step inside!
On one particular day, as the hook-nosed man drifted along his usual path, his expression suddenly tightened—a shadowy form emerged in front, with swirling mist cloaking it and an intense aura radiating outward.
"Golden King? That you, old timer?"
No response came from the silhouette, and the hook-nosed man's features hardened.
"Looks like we're dealing with something off."
With a flick of his fingers, a blade of Gold Element Sword Qi formed, ripping through the Void straight at it, only for the figure to reach out and clamp the attack between two fingers.
Terror gripped the hook-nosed man.
"Level 10—it's got to be level 10."
Even at level 9's pinnacle, no one could handle his Sword Qi that casually; the truth hit hard: this fog stemmed from a level 10 expert's hand.
It had to be their private sanctuary!
They'd stumbled right into a level 10 territory by mistake.
Doomed, no doubt.
This was a divine-level force; even ten like him wouldn't stand a chance against a level 10.
"Please spare me, great one—I wandered in here by accident, meaning no harm at all!"
In an instant, the hook-nosed man dropped to his knees, kowtowing frantically to beg for his life.
Throwing pride aside was nothing when survival hung in the balance.
By then, the figure had closed in beside him; it turned out to be a swordsman clad in black armor, bearing a valiant look and emanating the power of Level 9 Late Stage.
Shock hit the hook-nosed man hard; same cultivation level as his own? How had he snagged the Sword Qi with bare hands? Hold on—he recognized this face from somewhere.
Damn, wasn't this the main character from those market visions? Known as the Dusk Palace Master, boasting a level 9 physique, the slayer of gods and demons!
These days, across the entire Pan-Plane, everyone had heard of him.
The black-armored swordsman showed no fury, merely inquiring:
"What's your name?"
"I... this junior goes by Jinx."
"Jinx? From the Golden Scale Clan, then?"
"That's right."
As a rule, folks in the Seven-Colored Scale Clan tended to have names ending in "Ksi," a custom traced back to the influence of [Seven-Colored Scale Master Munks].
Take Green Ghost Hicks, Green Demon Rox, or even the Black Ghost and Red Ghost that Levi had lately brought under his wing—they all followed the pattern, so it clicked right away as the Golden Scale Clan.
Levi questioned further:
"How many remain in the Golden Scale Clan these days?"
"Roughly nine million, give or take."
"That's not many."
"Indeed, breeding is tough for us. Great one, why the interest?"
"Just hoping to bring your Seven-Colored Scale Clan back together. Over in Nora's lands, six branches of the Qilin Clan endure, but yours alone drifts afar."
"Well... very well, we'll head to Nora without delay!"
Once done with Jinx, Levi's form flickered away, reappearing next to the other enormous golden ape, who had lost all faith and now sprawled in the Void, munching on a fruit resembling a banana.
The sight evoked memories of the Iron Gorillas for Levi.
"Who's there?"
Levi's sudden arrival jolted the massive ape. Spotting the black-armored swordsman, it mirrored Jinx's response exactly, dropping to its knees in desperate pleading.
"Don't end me—I never meant to bother the great one in seclusion."
"No killing from me. What sort of giant ape might you be?"
"I'm a Golden Heavenly King Ape, hence the title Golden King."
"Level 9 Late Stage? Impressive."
"I chanced upon and swallowed a divine herb once, propelling me to Late Stage, though most Golden Heavenly King Apes hover at Level 9 Middle Stage."
"Got it—you're another Monkey of Destiny, it seems."
"My thanks for the praise, great one."
"Follow me."
"Eh?"
"What, unwilling?"
"No... no, it's only that this joy hit so fast, I'm still adjusting—to tell the truth, I've longed to serve under you, but Nora eluded me."
Levi hadn't foreseen that a single bout of secluded rest would net him the full Seven-Colored Scale Clan plus the Seven Series Giant Apes—he was indeed favored by heaven's wild fortune.
Bringing the Golden King to the Ancient Banyan Fairyland, Levi presented it to Lopez and the Red King, one at Mid Stage Level 8, the other advanced to Late Stage.
Yet next to the Golden King, they seemed mere youngsters.
"Nora hosts a Storm Star Ape, Purple Lightning Heart Ape, Winter Extreme Snow Ape, and Holy Giant Ape too—the prior trio at Level 9 Cultivation; mingle with them."
"Understood, Lord—you've assembled every one of our fabled Apes, incredible, incredible; I had no clue about all these far-off kin."
The Golden King stood utterly stunned.
It struggled to grasp the depths of a perfectionist's drive.
