Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2721: 559: Rescue Level-10! Green Emperor Dragon!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The dark-haired youth declined the Supreme Council's invitation, stating he had other matters to resolve but would join battles against the Abyss. The Supreme Council members debated the risks of collaborating with him, ultimately agreeing to proceed cautiously while acknowledging his immense potential. Meanwhile, Edmund and the Daydreamer prepared to leave Nora to rescue a high-level ally, the Blue Dream Star Lord, who was trapped in a powerful God's dream. Separately, the Primordial Demon Lord Xuan arrived at a mysterious realm and discussed with the Origin Holy Emperor the possibility of traveling to another universe where the Energy Sect might truly belong.

"Progressing further has become an impossibility. The level we have both reached represents the absolute ceiling. At the Seventh Realm of the Energy Sect, advancement is halted regardless of effort. The Dao Fruit we pursue simply does not exist within this world. Here, the path of the Dao is a barren and lonely one; I look around and find no fellow seekers on this journey."

The Origin Holy Emperor replied:

"However, the things Sauron speaks of are nothing more than legends."

A smile played on the lips of the black-haired youth as he spoke:

"Are we ourselves not living inside a legend?"

He turned to depart, his physical form slowly turning translucent until only his steady, confident voice echoed in the air:

"This world is far too monotonous for a misfit like me... I shall discover the path that belongs to the Energy Sect. No matter the destination or how many forks in the road I encounter, I will find it!"

...

Upon the Blue Agate Star.

Two unremarkable figures made a quiet descent.

They were Edmund and the Daydreamer.

"Mr. Freud, if you would, please infiltrate the Dream Lady’s dream and grant me passage." Edmund spoke calmly, his gaze fixed on the distant sky.

Nodding in agreement, the Daydreamer cautioned:

"Entering a dream is fraught with peril, Grand Council Chairman. You must be careful. While the Dream Lady’s power may be slightly less than that of the Lost Monarch, she is certainly not someone to be underestimated. Our first priority must be our own safety."

Edmund replied:

"Do not worry, I am well aware of what I am doing."

The Daydreamer shut his eyes.

His hands began to move in a blur, resembling the fluttering of butterflies.

A single kaleidoscopic butterfly manifested behind him.

Soon there were two, then three... until tens of thousands, millions, and eventually billions appeared.

A massive, vibrant storm of countless butterflies swirled around the starry sky, creating an unimaginable spectacle.

It was a breathtaking sight, one that would remain etched in memory forever.

No one could say how much time passed.

One by one, the butterflies started to dissipate.

Eventually, a lone butterfly flew back, resting in the palm of the Daydreamer.

Opening his eyes, he let out a heavy breath.

"I have located it. Are you prepared?"

Edmund gave a nod.

"Let us begin."

The butterfly suddenly dissolved into a shimmering mist, swirling into a vortex-like tunnel.

With a formal gesture of invitation, the Daydreamer said gravely:

"Please, enter the dream!"

Edmund inhaled deeply, flicked his sleeve, and stepped through the portal.

When his eyes opened, he found himself in a world of brilliant blue clarity.

There were azure skies, drifting white clouds, and fields of gold.

The scene was filled with turning windmills and flowing rivers.

Everything appeared perfectly harmonious and serene.

There was no hint of danger or murderous intent to be found.

A modest wooden shack sat peacefully by the riverside.

Edmund approached it, his expression remaining neutral and composed.

Inside the shack, a figure dressed in blue robes was busy cooking. The figure had striking features that seemed neither distinctly male nor female.

"Blue Dream Star Lord?"

"Who might you be?"

"You were the one who asked me to rescue you."

"Oh? Is that right?"

Observing the confused look on the blue-robed figure's face, Edmund simply stood there in silence.

Shortly after, a peasant woman arrived, carrying a load of laundry she had just finished washing at the river.

"Who are you? What is your business at my home?"

She eyed Edmund with suspicion.

Edmund questioned her, "Are you the Dream Lady?"

"What Dream Lady? Leave at once, or I shall summon the villagers." The woman's indignation seemed entirely genuine.

Seeing this, Edmund ceased his questioning.

He made a light pressing motion against the empty air.

Suddenly, billions of flames erupted, sending ripples of intense heat through the area.

Bang!

The world of blue skies and white clouds began to shatter, layer by layer.

Beneath that beautiful illusion lay a landscape resembling purgatory.

The golden wheat in the fields was revealed to be rows of ragged, catatonic people.

They were bound by chains that descended from the void.

Lost in their dreams, they all wore expressions of blissful joy, completely unaware that they were being harvested in endless cycles.

A massive blue giant was imprisoned between enormous pillars.

It was restrained by countless golden chains pierced through its body.

The simple peasant woman had turned into a tall, thin, ghostly entity with faint feminine traits and a monstrous face. She was perched atop the blue giant, feeding on something.

The sky above cracked like a broken mirror.

A cold, bizarre, and emotionless face appeared, featuring eight closed eyes and eight hands covering them. Her blood-red lips moved as she said coldly:

"Edmund, you have the audacity to enter my dream? How truly reckless!"

Edmund stood with his hands clasped behind his back, asking with a smile:

"Dream Lady Hillin, for what reason do you hold the Blue Dream Star Lord captive?"

"Because he trespassed into my dream."

"Since I have also entered, does that mean you intend to imprison me as well?"

"Hmph. Normally, that would be the case, but I happen to be in a pleasant mood today, so I will not detain you. You are free to go, but if there is a next time, you will share the same fate as the Blue Dream Star Lord."

"I have no wish to make an enemy of such a beautiful lady, but the Blue Dream Star Lord is a friend of mine. I intend to take him with me, and I hope you will show mercy."

"In your dreams!"

"I am, in fact, dreaming right now."

"...The patience of the Gods is not infinite. Nora is currently occupied with a Blood Battle; if I declare war on you, do you think you can withstand it?"

"I only wish to retrieve someone who is of no consequence to you. You will not go to war with me. War brings death... even for the Gods! Madam, as a mighty deity, you may have existed since the ancient or even primordial eras. Are you truly prepared to let a mere mortal, one who has lived for only ten thousand years, end your life with Sauron’s Great Disintegration Technique? To have your name struck from the Age History Book? To have your followers forget you entirely, leaving you with no hope of resurrection? Is that what you want, madam?"

"You are threatening me."

"I am only providing an objective view of what might occur if we go to war. As you can see, since the conclusion of the Ancient Age, we wizards have sought to avoid conflict with your kind. We believe that, unlike the chaotic Abyss Demons, Gods are capable of reason, and our interests do not directly clash. We can exist together; you may spread your faith while I pursue my spells. In truth, without the protection of the astral world, countless lives would be lost to demons. We understand this. I simply hope you can be generous enough to let me depart with my friend."
