Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1621 - 560: Chaotic Battle (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Deep beneath the Dragan Empire, ancient divine entities stirred as a native species began ascending to demigod status, drawing the God of Hunting Luen and six other evil god incarnations to the floating city ruins. The Federation's epic strongmen retreated in alarm, unable to confront the seven colossal phantoms, who dismissed the humans as ants and breached the ancient barriers to interrupt the ascension. Inside, Rein completed his rapid transformation, sensing a mysterious call from the void, only to face the gods' recognition and fury upon their arrival, as they prepared to obliterate the familiar blasphemer before his power fully stabilized. Suddenly, a black-aura-shrouded goblin erupted from below, amid the brewing confrontation.

"This... this is... Void Demon!"

Being a Divine herself, Hela quickly pierced through the true nature lurking under the goblin's exterior, yet it was this very revelation that amplified her astonishment even further.

"Weren't all the demons in this world sealed away by Matilda? How could one still linger here?" the Nether Sea Goddess Hela exclaimed without thinking.

"There's yet another one over there," the God of Hunting, Luen, announced, shifting his eyes toward a different location.

Matilda?

Standing nearby, Rein sharply picked up on that particular name.

He was certainly familiar with it, as it seemed to refer to the Seasonal Wind and Ocean Goddess.

Right when the seven Divine Incarnations spotted the pair of ancient goblins enveloped in dark energy, those two goblins—whose strength obviously outmatched that of Goblin General Angerik—likewise directed their attention to the enormous figures of the Divine Incarnations.

"I sense the aura... such tempting and mouthwatering prey."

"Yes, these irresistible morsels showing up right at our door..."

Witnessing this unfolding, Rein gave a mental nod of approval.

True to his earlier assessment, tensions existed between the demons and the Evil God as well.

"I detect an even more frightening demon presence rising from deeper below."

"Onward, then!"

"Hold on, what about that human fellow?"

"Eh? Where did he go?"

In an instant, the Divine Incarnations realized that amid their fixation on the two demon-corrupted ancient goblins, the young human had slipped away from sight!

The pervasive disruptions from numerous Ancient Witch Arrays in the vicinity hampered senses and witchcraft abilities alike, rendering it challenging for even the Divine Incarnations to track Rein down.

In truth, the moment Great Craftsman Dupre triggered the mechanical contraption, Rein had employed Shadow Shifting to conceal himself in a chamber several hundred meters distant.

Rein had foreseen that activating the device would likely prevent Shadow Shifting even for a Demigod like him, so he wasted no time in seeking cover.

Before Haleem departed, he had passed along to Rein a chronicle detailing prominent personalities and artifacts from the waning days of the Ancient Goblin Empire.

Consequently, upon the arrival of two goblins clad in markedly different attires that screamed elite standing, Rein deduced who they were. The figure donning the flying goggles had to be the Great Craftsman Dupre from the Goblin Empire.

As for the one draped in the High Rank Wizard Robe, he was probably the Great Sage Tamriel, infamous for unleashing calamity across the entire Goblin Empire.

"That sly human deliberately lured us into this trap," the Nether Sea Goddess Hela grasped Rein's scheme at once, fuming as she declared.

"All to force us into clashing with the demons!"

"Hurry, we must move!"

At that moment, the goblin in leather armor and goggles abruptly drew out a remote device and activated it with a press.

The whole Floating City Ruins began to hum with vibration, like some enormous high-powered engine roaring to life.

Elaborate patterns etched across each metal level of the floor, while the earlier breaches and damages swiftly mended back to pristine condition.

"It appears we'll need to eliminate these two demon avatars before anything else. If not, escape will prove impossible for any of us. Should additional demon avatars emerge from the depths, all us incarnations will perish right here."

"Moreover, should the demon absorb the essence from our incarnations, its resurgence could outpace even our primary forms' recovery. At that point, we'd face utter catastrophe!" The Nether Sea Goddess Hela warned gravely, her expression turning grim.

Deep in her core, she loathed Rein more intensely than the God of Hunting Luen himself. She burned with the desire to eradicate him.

Yet the pressing circumstances left no room for chasing after Rein; dealing with the demon avatars took priority.

In the meantime, Rein peered through the window of an adjacent goblin barracks, grinning as he observed the Void-possessed Great Craftsman Dupre and Great Sage Tamriel locked in a ferocious struggle against the seven Divine Incarnations.

To his surprise, Rein discovered that the goblin Great Craftsman's fighting prowess even eclipsed that of the Great Sage.

A colossal mechanical construct akin to a behemoth tank surged upward from the fourth sub-level, warping the gravity in its vicinity, as an array of plasma cannons unleashed relentless barrages toward the Divine Incarnations.

"Remarkable, what an intense showdown."

"It looks like resolving this clash won't happen in a hurry."

"Perhaps I should seize the chance to bolster my own strength."
