Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1619 - 560: The Great Melee

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Haleem translated an ancient Goblin diary revealing the corruption of Emperor Solson and Great Sage Tamriel by a suspicious Divine relic from the Earth Spirit era, leading to Princess Amora's imprisonment and the emperor's descent into madness. The group, alarmed by the relic's power to taint even a Demigod-level Full Moon Wizard, urged caution against the Fiend Demon below, prompting Rein to send his companions back for safety while he remained at the third basement level. Alone, Rein completed the fifth layer of the Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method, achieving full solidification and deducing the Metal Series Fifth Level Witchcraft "High-frequency Cutting" from his Dawn Killing Move.

Suddenly, Rein sensed deep in his mental sea how the four-tiered spiritual power crystal, wrapped in a core like amber, started to undergo a change.

Above the existing base of those four crystal layers, a fresh, more compact but intricate 3D form emerged. This marked the fifth-level Metal Series Witchcraft 'High-frequency Cutting'.

Perhaps due to its origin from the same lineage, the complete five-layer setup featured fluid contours and an allure that defied simple description.

The amber-resembling core encasing the crystal cracked open even more, as though the planet's core was splintering apart.

A closer look revealed that through those fissures, a strange tri-colored energy kept streaming in and out, displaying stunning elegance!

...

[System detects host advancing to fourth-level Wizard, lifting the upgrade limit for the fourth-level innate wizardry 'Steel Thorns Forest'. Proceed with the upgrade? This will require 97 Golden Skill Points.]

(Note: After upgrading, the innate wizardry will fit the host even better, boosting strength, reach of attacks, or similar features.)

Though he had already used up 912 Golden Skill Points earlier, for Rein with almost two thousand points available, 97 was merely a tiny fraction.

Besides, passing up this chance meant it wouldn't return, so Rein quickly selected 'Yes'!

The very next instant, a rush of memories about enhancing the fourth-level innate wizardry 'Steel Thorns Forest' poured into Rein's thoughts...

Concurrently, the four-tiered spiritual power crystal in his mental sea received matching subtle adjustments.

Before long, the system's alert rang out once more:

[Ding! Upgrade to host's fourth-level innate wizardry 'Steel Thorns Forest' finished. New witchcraft model properly calibrated, granting 12% more power and 18% less spiritual power use.]

Enhancing the fourth-level innate wizardry was just a minor element of this breakthrough, while system notifications kept appearing nonstop:

[Host's spiritual power surges dramatically... spiritual core begins splitting...]

[Ding! Advanced to fifth-level Wizard successfully! Spirit +100!]

[Gained fifth-level innate witchcraft: High-frequency Cutting!]

...

Right then, a tremendous aura erupted from Rein's form, appearing even fiercer than during Carlos II's rise!

At once, the enigmatic energy particles nearby got pulled in like a flock of fish facing a massive whale.

Such was the force of the breakthrough aura that even the Wizard Apprentices working hard in the cavern base noticed it plainly.

The Federation folks heading back to the surface whipped around to stare downward, shock etched on their faces.

After enduring this swirling suction aura for a few seconds, Sword Saint Terrio recovered first and spoke gravely:

"This aura... if I'm right, it's Lord Rein's, but this is..."

"Lord Terrio! You're spot on. That's definitely Lord Rein's aura!"

"Lord Rein must be making a breakthrough..." Haleem's cheeks reddened with thrill, his eyes bulging as he voiced the thought Terrio had left hanging.

"But this... how could it be?" Terrio whispered.

"Reaching Full Moon Wizard?"

"No way! No matter Lord Rein's genius, he couldn't be hitting Full Moon Wizard. Haleem, you're seeing it wrong."

"Totally impossible! It has to be something else causing it."

"No, I've studied old records on breaking through to Full Moon Wizard. I'm ninety percent certain Lord Rein is becoming a Full Moon Wizard!" One of the Twin Flame Spirits, Ogre, declared seriously.

"Precisely, that's why I'm convinced Lord Rein is rising to fifth-level Full Moon Wizard." Haleem agreed with a nod.

With Ogre and Haleem both affirming it, the rest grew quiet.

Clearly, no matter how hard they resisted believing their eyes, reality stood firm.

"If that's the case, Lord Rein could be the first to enter Full Moon Wizard realm in almost a millennium!"

"But why pick the dangerous Floating City Ruins for his breakthrough?"

Just then, Twin Flame Spirit Otto creased his brow, thought briefly, and raised the doubt lingering in everyone's thoughts.

The group hushed for a moment.

...

At the same time.

Below the third basement where Rein resided, past the goblin barracks lay the fourth basement—the Power and Transmission Zone.

Within a web of heavy metal conduits, a goblin wanderer cloaked in dark fog abruptly lifted its gaze, and in the following instant, its entire body hovered in the air, ascending toward the overhead metal roof.

This old goblin sported brown aviator shades and snug leather gear, giving it an odd look.

With a lift of its hand, the metal roof warped and bent, forming a growing split wide enough for someone to squeeze through.

"Eliminate... the ascender... (Ancient Goblin Language)" it grumbled under its breath.

.....

In a different spot on that same fourth level, a goblin elder in a lavish dark golden robe, with pitch-black eyes, shot a glance upward before lifting a short black crystal wand high.

In a flash, a tightly packed black ray fired upward, slamming into the metal roof overhead.

The overhead metal roof, struck by the black ray, softened and dissolved fast like wax under fire, carving out a gap several meters across.

The robed goblin elder also drifted upward, heading to the third basement level.
