Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1426 - 487: Federation Opposition Faction (Part 3)
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
It appeared that the force backing this Zaral rebellion was not the official Federation, but rather an opposing faction within its borders.
...
At the same time.
Outside the banquet hall, the street was lined for miles with a long procession of extravagant carriages, each adorned with the crests of various noble families.
Two men sat across from each other inside one of these opulent transports.
“Lord Richmond, the initial cooperation between the Empire and the Federation has resulted in a victory far greater than I anticipated,” remarked a middle-aged man wearing a tailcoat, his expression grave.
“It is easy to foresee that those Congress members who support a union with the Empire will use this triumph as leverage. They will surely push for much deeper collaboration between the Federation Congress and the Empire.”
“Such a development contradicts our goals! Therefore, Lord Richmond, you must take swift action in your capacity as a leader of the Zaral rebellion.”
“Hmm, we certainly need to make a move, or the Zaral rebellion will lose its footing entirely,” the burly, bearded man known as Richmond replied in a low, resonant voice.
“However, I ask that you inform Congressman Nelson and Congressman Stein that it is premature to reach any conclusions. I trust those esteemed gentlemen will continue their support as they always have.”
“Furthermore, we have already set certain plans in motion. I believe favorable news will arrive shortly,” Richmond added, a subtle, mysterious smile playing on his lips.
“Oh? That is excellent news. I look forward to hearing of your success, Lord Richmond,” the man in the tailcoat said with a smile.
Shortly after, the man in the tailcoat exited the carriage and vanished into the darkness of the night.
...
The following morning.
The combined airship fleet of the Empire and the Federation took flight once more. Accompanied by Vice Speaker Bertrand, Congressman Trena, and a retinue of reception staff, the Empire’s delegation began their journey toward Anthor, the Federation’s capital.
Once in Anthor, the leader of the Empire’s delegation, the ‘Red Queen’ Menia, was scheduled to meet with the Federation Speaker.
Of course, Rein had no involvement in these political affairs.
Currently, he was secluded within his luxurious airship cabin, focusing all his energy on leveling up his Skinning Master profession.
Two hours passed before the melodious chime of a system notification echoed:
[You have crafted a Thorny Wood Coat; your comprehension has increased!]
[Your proficiency in crafting Thorny Wood Coats has improved, Experience +12]
[You have successfully crafted a Thorny Wood Coat, Skinning Master Professional Experience +10]
...
[Congratulations, your Skinning Master level has increased!]
“That wasn’t easy, but I finally pushed Skinning Master to level 10.”
Setting the finished Thorny Wood Coat aside, Rein checked the system logs and smiled.
He was finally eligible to switch his profession to Elf Skinning.
As a thought occurred to him, Rein shifted his gaze to the Skill Points section at the bottom of his attribute panel.
Following the defeat of the ‘Ice Sea Giant Demon’ Gazrian, his level had only risen by one to level 16, given his high level as a Dragon Vein Wizard. However, the Golden Skill Points reward had been quite bountiful, yielding 247 points.
With this latest Skinning Master level up, he had earned 1 attribute point and 1 skill point.
Accounting for the 5 attribute points spent during the previous conflict, Rein currently possessed 8 attribute points and 24 skill points, while his Golden Skill Points had reached a massive total of 674.
“Not bad at all; I have plenty of skill points. Once we reach Anthor and I obtain the Fourth Level Metal Series Witchcraft, I can quickly enhance my combat readiness.”
“My Golden Skill Points are also sufficient. I should be able to complete the new Dawn Killing Move immediately.”
“When that is done, I will have mastered two different Dawn Killing Moves.”
Rein’s eyes shimmered with excitement at the thought.
It was well known that there was a vast gap in strength among Fourth Level Dawn Wizards.
Possessing a powerful Dawn Killing Move was a primary factor in determining one's true combat potential.
Rein also possessed a unique advantage; with his core Dragon Vein Wizard skill, ‘Dragon Soul Strike,’ the True Damage increased in proportion to the power of his witchcraft.
“Eight attribute points might be enough for a major clash, but it still feels a bit low.”
“I need to switch professions quickly to accumulate more attribute points.”
Just as Rein prepared to change his profession, sudden alarms began to scream throughout the entire airship!
“Hmm? An enemy attack?” Rein muttered, his brow furrowing.
Logically speaking, it was highly unlikely for any enemy to launch a proactive strike against such a massive combined fleet of the Empire and the Federation.
Filled with suspicion, Rein hurried out of his cabin...
