Unholy Player Chapter 493 Information Not Found

Previously on Unholy Player...
Leaving the remnants of his humanity behind, Adyr takes to the sky on black and white wings to find a secluded mountain forest. Seeking to evolve one of his Rank 4 Sparks using the Heart of the Blood Palace, he carefully weighs the defensive utility of Citadelith against the spatial versatility of the serpent Sszhar. After calculating the potential physical traits and innate talents he might inherit, Adyr chooses Sszhar to preserve his mobility and tactical options. The massive serpent greedily consumes the blood-red cube, beginning a transformation that promises to alter its very nature.

Adyr maintained a watchful distance, waiting with patience for the transformation to begin while keeping his gaze fixed firmly on the serpent.

The effects took hold of the colossal beast almost immediately, as if the cube had merged directly into its very core without delay.

At first, Sszhar began to thrash in agony. Violent spasms racked its massive frame, and its long body whipped from side to side, obliterating every tree and boulder in its path.

Boulders were crushed and trunks uprooted as a massive clearing suddenly emerged in the heart of the infinite forest, looking as though a natural catastrophe had swept through the area.

To escape the destruction, Adyr spread his wings and ascended into the sky, observing the unfolding chaos from the safety of the air.

Eventually, the serpent’s frantic movements slowed before ceasing entirely. It began to coil its length, spiraling inward until it was curled tightly in the center of the wasteland it had created.

From his vantage point above, it resembled a mountain of stacked, massive black scales.

Just as Adyr began to wonder if the process had ended in such a quiet manner, a system notification manifested before his eyes.

[Rank 4 Sszhar evolving...]

The floating text served as a warning that the true change was only just starting.

Suddenly, a pungent, familiar scent reached Adyr’s nostrils—a thick, metallic odor emanating from Sszhar’s paralyzed form.

Blood...

The stench was so overpowering that even Adyr, who was well-acquainted with the taste and smell of gore, felt a wave of nausea. It was reminiscent of the foul odor of stagnant, rotting blood, and it seemed to cling to the back of his throat.

While he grimaced at the foul air, a transformation began to take hold of Sszhar’s glossy scales.

The plates that once looked like impenetrable metal started to warp and distort. Pulsing, wet veins crawled across the surface, gradually staining the creature's entire body a slick, crimson hue. As these throbbing red vessels completely enveloped the serpent, the air grew even more foul. It now carried the heavy, suffocating scent of death itself.

The surrounding trees began to blacken from the sheer corruption, their bark darkening as if scorched from within. They rotted away, their internal structure failing, while the ground beneath them dissolved into a muddy, corrupted sludge.

Adyr felt his skin crawl from the scent, and his mind began to grow foggy.

Battling the onset of dizziness, he beat his wings to climb higher into the atmosphere, creating more distance from the source while keeping his eyes locked on the beast.

Sszhar remained motionless for several minutes, appearing dead. Only the crimson veins continued their rhythmic pulsing across its massive form.

Finally, the veins erupted with the sharp sound of snapping threads, spraying jets of dark blood in every direction.

However, the erupting blood did not hit the ground. Instead, an unseen force pulled it back toward the Spark’s body, coating the scales in a dense layer. Simultaneously, a vast amount of the liquid poured into its mouth and nostrils, disappearing inside.

The Rank 4 Spark began to stir again, though this time it was not out of pain. The subtle shift of its frame and the tilt of its head suggested it was experiencing intense pleasure.

Drenched in gallons of blood both inside and out, it lifted its head toward the heavens, basking in the evolution like a predator returning to its primordial state.

Eventually, the swirling blood grew still, losing its chaotic motion as it fused into its final form upon the serpent.

The scales, formerly black, had transformed into a metallic crimson that gleamed like polished blood-steel in the dim light.

Its eyes had changed from yellow slits to a brilliant, piercing red. They shone with such intensity that they looked like gateways to the boiling blood rivers of the 7th layer of hell—too deep and terrifying to look at for long.

The nauseating stench vanished instantly, replaced by an aura that made the air crackle. It sounded like the very fabric of dimensions was grinding and splintering apart.

As that aura expanded, the forest fell into a haunting silence. All life energy was snuffed out in a heartbeat, leaving the surroundings cold and drained.

When the evolution reached its conclusion, Adyr briefly heard the agonizing wails of a thousand ghosts screaming in his ears.

Their fury brushed against his consciousness, directed at him and Sszhar, until a new system prompt appeared and silenced the whispers.

[Rank 4 Sszhar evolution completed.]

Eager to discover the extent of the changes, he summoned the Spark’s description, his eyes narrowing as the interface flickered into existence.

However, the information displayed was nothing like what he had anticipated.

He stood there, stunned.

"What th..."

The data on the screen did not align with anything he had prepared for.

The shock he felt now was far greater than anything he had experienced before, even eclipsing the moment of his reincarnation or transmigration.
