Turns Out, I’m In A Villain Clan! Chapter 376 Bai Zihan Vs Voidstep Razorhorn!
Previously on Turns Out, I’m In A Villain Clan!...
"It appears you and I will be spending quite some time together!"
Bai Zihan declared, and his words were far from a bluff.
CLANK! CLANK!
The sound of steel striking the beast's horn rang out repeatedly as they engaged. To be precise, it wasn't much of a "clash"—the Voidstep Razorhorn was launching a relentless assault while Bai Zihan focused on observing and dissecting its movements.
Space rippled every time the Voidstep Razorhorn flickered out of sight. Whenever it materialized to strike, Bai Zihan’s blade was already positioned to intercept the blow.
However, the Razorhorn was becoming increasingly agitated. Its frustration was palpable!
As a Grade-10 Demonic Beast, it possessed power comparable to an expert at the Great Ascension Realm. Yet, despite the passage of time, it had failed to eliminate a mere human at the Spirit Severing Realm.
RRRWWWAAARRR!!
A roar of pure exasperation echoed across the battlefield. Violent winds began to swirl around its limbs, coiling upward into a sudden, fierce tornado.
Bai Zihan’s gaze sharpened.
(It’s activating a skill.)
SHRRRIPPPP!!
A crescent of highly pressurized wind, sharper than any forged blade, tore through the air from the Razorhorn’s charge. It was a Wind Scythe!
The attack was incredibly swift—far too fast to evade.
"Eternal Flowing Water Sword!"
Swoosh—!
Bai Zihan conjured layers of rotating Sword Qi that spiraled like a churning river to block the massive projectile.
BOOOOM!!!
The Wind Scythe shattered the first barrier, then the second, and then the third. Bracing himself for the impact, Bai Zihan was sent skidding backward as the remaining force of the strike slammed into him. He left deep cracks in the earth as he came to a halt amidst a swirl of dust.
The Voidstep Razorhorn seemed convinced that the human had been finished. But as the smoke cleared, Bai Zihan emerged entirely unscathed.
His formidable physical constitution had endured the brunt of the hit, and the Heaven-Grade defensive artifact beneath his robes glowed softly, having neutralized most of the lethal momentum. He wasn't perfectly fine, however; numerous shallow cuts marked his skin, though none were serious.
Exhaling slowly, Bai Zihan remained composed. Recalling the battered state of the Azure Sun Holy Sect Leader, it was evident that the Razorhorn had used this very skill to cripple him. Bai Zihan realized he had made the right call by meeting the attack head-on; had he tried to dodge and failed, even his Refined Body and artifacts might not have saved his limbs.
The Razorhorn’s eyes widened in shock. How could a Spirit Severing ant survive its Wind Scythe?
Bai Zihan gave it no room for contemplation.
"My turn!"
His eyes burned with lethal intent. He lunged forward, his Sword Intent surging like a rising tide.
"Nine Shadows Flowing Light Sword!"
SHING—!
His sword cut a perfect, lethal arc through the air. For the first time in the encounter—
PUCH!
Blood sprayed as a shallow wound opened along the beast's side. The Razorhorn froze, stunned that it had been wounded by someone it considered a weakling.
Bai Zihan clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction.
"Tch! Just as I thought, it wasn't enough."
He had aimed to cleave through the hide entirely but had only managed to draw blood. While he felt disappointed, the Razorhorn felt only explosive, seismic rage.
RRRRRRRWWOOOOAAARRRR!!!!
The beast’s aura reached a terrifying new peak as wind erupted around it. Its eyes glowed with a murderous light. To be scarred by a Spirit Severing human was an unforgivable insult. It now wanted nothing less than to shred Bai Zihan into pieces.
"Are you upset?" Bai Zihan asked with a mocking sneer.
"I’m the one who should be annoyed! You’re getting in the way of my points!" Bai Zihan yelled back. Normally, he would appreciate the chance to test his limits against a Grade-10 Demonic Beast, but today his priority was strictly farming System Points.
The more he dwelled on the lost time, the angrier he became. "Since you won't get out of my way, I'll just have to end you immediately!" he declared arrogantly.
He prepared to unleash the Fate Severing Slash. He was certain that a direct hit would kill the Voidstep Razorhorn instantly. While the beast's defenses were lower than other Grade-10 creatures, its speed was unparalleled. Hitting it with a Saint-Grade technique that required focus and timing would be nearly impossible under normal circumstances.
Furthermore, such a technique would drain his Dantian significantly. Even with his vast Qi reserves, he couldn't afford a missed shot. He needed the beast to be stationary.
Clank! Clank!
The battle roared on as Bai Zihan began to weave a plan. The exchanges were violent and blurred by extreme speed. Bai Zihan parried and maneuvered, his mind working as fast as his blade. The Razorhorn offered no respite, attacking like a relentless hurricane.
He searched for a single opening, analyzing every flicker of movement. But the beast was a veteran of centuries of combat; its instincts were flawless. Every time Bai Zihan tried to bait it, the Razorhorn adjusted.
(I just need one second... one moment where it cannot move...)
But the opening never came. The beast's speed was simply too high. As minutes—or perhaps seconds—passed, impatience began to gnaw at him.
(I'm done with this!)
Frustrated by the stalemate and the wasted points, he intentionally loosened his stance, allowing a tiny window of vulnerability to show. It was exactly what the Voidstep Razorhorn was waiting for.
RRRSHHHHH!!
The beast vanished and reappeared in a heartbeat, its horn shimmering with concentrated wind essence—a lethal spear aimed at his vitals. Bai Zihan didn't flinch. He didn't move to block. Instead, he gripped his sword tighter.
(Right there—)
The Razorhorn lunged, its horn glowing with a piercing wind skill meant to kill in one strike. It was too fast for any normal reaction.
CRRRACK!!
The horn drove straight into Bai Zihan’s midsection. The force was so immense that the ground shattered behind him as he was sent flying through several boulders. When he finally stopped, he staggered to his feet, blood staining his clothes.
The Razorhorn stood still, waiting for him to die. Instead, Bai Zihan looked up with a wild, blood-drenched grin.
"You’re the first one in a long time," he said, his voice dropping to a chilling tone, "to actually make me bleed."
His excitement terrified the beast. It made no sense—a dying opponent should be cowering, not smiling.
"Congratulations!"
Bai Zihan suddenly grabbed the beast's horn with a crushing grip, pinning it against his own body so it couldn't retreat.
"Your reward for that..."
His Killing Intent exploded, causing the air to vibrate.
"...is a front-row seat to your own death!"
His Qi surged violently, flooding his Meridians. He raised his blade, channeling every drop of energy into the strike. Sensing the impending doom, the Razorhorn tried to flee, but Bai Zihan’s hand was like an iron shackle.
"Too late to run now."
"Fate Severing Slash!!"
The Saint-Grade technique erupted like a hammer of god. A massive arc of Sword Qi, wider than a mountain's shadow, detonated at point-blank range. There was no dodging a Saint-Grade attack from zero distance.
A blinding light consumed everything. For a second, the world went quiet. Then—
SLASH!
The Fate Severing Slash ripped through the fabric of reality itself. A titan-sized wave of Sword Qi carved a white scar across the heavens, splitting the clouds as if the sky had been wounded. The earth buckled and the air shattered. Everything in the path of the blade—stone, wind, and essence—was annihilated.
The Voidstep Razorhorn didn't have time to make a sound. It was suspended in the radiance for a heartbeat before its body was cleaved perfectly in two, from horn to tail. Its legendary speed meant nothing now.
BOOOM!
The Sword Qi finally detonated in the distance, carving a massive canyon into the landscape. Miles of terrain were simply erased. Above, a thin white line remained in the sky, a lingering scar of the strike.
As the dust and spiritual essence eventually settled, two halves of the Grade-10 beast hit the earth with a dull thud.
The victory belonged to Bai Zihan.
