Previously on Titan King: Ascension of the Giant...
Orion discovers that by occupying his current vessel, he has been adopted into the lineage of the Death-Soul race. The Abyssal Ruler Kaidric grants him an emerald bone sigil, a key allowing him to enter the Death-Soul Nexus to further evolve his avatar’s power. Following his ascension to Demigod status, Orion realizes his status interface has been wiped of numerical data, rendering his previous attributes obsolete. The Commander explains that such metrics can no longer quantify his divine essence, leaving only his Titles as the true markers of his identity and authority in the cosmos.

"However, once you achieve ascension," the Commander went on, "the ability to serve the Pantheon is granted. You gain the right to trigger the [Ash Altar] and offer up Seeds belonging to competing pantheons as sacrifices."

"The ritual is familiar to you," the Commander noted. "You assisted Edward with his own tribute."

Orion gave a silent nod. He remembered Lolth, the Queen of the Blind Spiders. An Awakened and a Seed of an alien deity, she had been broken by the Deputy Commander before being offered to the altar.

"And what is the profit of such sacrifices?" Orion inquired.

A sharp, knowing smirk crossed the Commander’s face. "Just as I suspected. You lack the soul of a scholar or a wanderer. Like Arthas and the rest, you are a pragmatist."

This was no insult. In such a brutal reality, selflessness was a luxury few could maintain. Everyone was hunting for an advantage.

"View the Survivor's Platform as a supreme deity, or perhaps a fundamental law of the universe
