Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1299 Welcome to Soaring Bird City

Previously on Titan King: Ascension of the Giant...
Orion’s Conquest Legion returned to the Foundry Citadel after a decisive victory, establishing his iron rule in the Sixth Layer. The Citadel's influence grew rapidly, attracting ambitious individuals, and the Demonic Maggot Nest achieved its Apex State, providing a sustainable source of loyal soldiers. Meanwhile, a Demigod of House Julius was enraged by the death of a descendant and the destruction of his phantom, vowing vengeance and preparing to descend upon the Sixth Layer.

"I recognize that voice... it belongs to Hino Julius. He never acts unless Pyre Julius and Cima Julius are at his side."

"That is for the best. With the three of them working in unison, their odds of surviving are much higher."

Inside the shadows of the hall, the elder tilted his head, carefully monitoring the echoes of fury that shook the underground city. He could identify the unique resonance of the Demon's roar.

He felt no concern for whoever Hino Julius intended to execute. His only focus was on their efficiency: were they capable of finishing the task and returning alive?

These three represented the true foundation of this House Julius branch. Should they perish in the lands above, this entire bloodline would sink into obscurity.

The old man whispered to himself, his words a dry, scraping sound as he searched for answers in the darkness.

"Wait... has there been any major news regarding House Julius lately?"

"Rumors reached me... something about... Orion ascending as the Ruler of the Sixth Layer?"

The elder froze, his forehead creasing with worry.

"Surely... the conflict does not involve him?"

"That is unthinkable. Who would be reckless enough to challenge the kin of an Abyssal Ruler?"

"Unless..."

The old man’s murmurs stopped instantly, as if his words had been forcibly suppressed by an unseen grip.

A heavy, oppressive silence filled the great hall, weighed down by the dawn of a terrifying epiphany.

Titanion Realm, Soaring Bird City.

Perfectly positioned where geography meets population flow, Soaring Bird City had transformed into the primary hub linking the Human Kingdom, the Blood Elves, and the Stoneheart Horde.

Due to this strategic location, the city had experienced unprecedented growth.

In the decade since the Torin era, the city had become unrecognizable. Its prosperity had increased tenfold, evolving into a massive metropolis that had pushed its walls outward several times to absorb the surrounding lands.

It was a common joke among traveling merchants and mercenaries that Soaring Bird City was the kingdom's true capital—the genuine engine of its economy.

On this day, the thriving city prepared for the arrival of two very important visitors.

Kronos himself stood at the city gates to lead the reception. With great pomp and formality, he greeted Elara and Pallas.

"Big Sister, Apprentice—welcome to Soaring Bird City!"

A look of pure happiness radiated from Kronos's face.

The joy he felt here was far different from his experiences in Stoneheart City within the Horde's lands. While he was always treated well there, he couldn't help but feel like an outsider in his father's home.

But this place was different. Soaring Bird City was his mother’s domain. This was his home. Welcoming Elara and Pallas gave Kronos his first true experience of being the host—of having his own home to share.

"Second Brother, I brought this for you!"

Pallas, who was on his very first long-distance trip, was even more animated than Kronos. He didn't even wait for the formal greetings to end before thrusting a gift forward.

It was a massive, shining Trident.

This was a piece of transformative technology unique to the Stoneheart Horde. Such high-grade weaponry was usually reserved for elite military commanders and was rarely seen by outsiders.

This particular Trident had been given to Pallas by the Hell-Drake Hound, Dirtclaw, for his birthday.

The moment Kronos grasped the handle, the weapon vibrated, shifting its weight and length to perfectly suit his frame. Its balance was flawless. Kronos let out a breath of wonder, examining the fine detail of the craft.

"And this is a gift from your Big Sister."

Seeing Kronos's delight at Pallas’s gift sparked Elara’s competitive nature. She reached into her spatial ring and pulled out a large, radiating object, handing it over with a smirk.

A Dragon Egg.

Even within the Stoneheart Horde, a Dragon Egg was considered a treasure of extreme rarity.

Elara had specifically asked Orion for this egg during their stay in the Valkorath Realm. It came from the clutch Leonidas had presented to Orion after they seized the Dragon lands in the Silverwood Realm; it had been kept in the treasury ever since.

"It’s a real Dragon Egg. You better take good care of it, alright?" Elara said, her voice playful though her expression was warm.

Elara was very perceptive. She had noticed that whenever Kronos visited Stoneheart City, he would watch Pallas with his dragon. Though he never complained, she saw the quiet longing in his eyes—the wish for a partner of his own.

"I had to nag Daddy quite a bit to get this for you!"

Hearing that, Kronos—who was now a young man—grasped the hidden meaning. This wasn't just a gift from Elara; it represented the silent blessing of his father, Orion.

"Thank you, Big Sister."

Kronos felt his eyes grow misty. He had felt loved before, but this moment was different. It was powerful.

Finally, he would have a dragon of his own.

He wasn't an outsider or a guest. He was a member of the family.

It was an emotional depth that Elara and Pallas, having always lived at the heart of the Horde's power, couldn't entirely relate to.

"Alright, no more sentimental talk! Give me a tour!" Elara leaped onto Kronos’s shoulder, patting his head while pointing toward the busy streets. "I’ve heard the Human Kingdom has incredible food and lots of fun places."

"Exactly! Second Brother, this is your home! Lead the way!" Pallas added, practically jumping with energy.

Away from the rigid military life of Stoneheart City, Pallas was like a wild animal let out of a cage—full of energy and looking for excitement.

"As you wish!"

After carefully putting the Dragon Egg away, Kronos took Pallas by the arm and headed for the city center.

A group of guards and a regiment of ten thousand Raptor Cavalry followed closely behind them.

Meanwhile, the primary reinforcement group—thirty thousand Wolf-Riders from the Stoneheart Horde sent to assist the Kingdom in the new Civil War—was still traveling toward the city.

Soaring Bird City, The Palace.

From the highest point of the citadel, Princess Ava watched the scene at the gates from her balcony.

Her own joy mirrored the excitement Kronos was feeling.

By sending the First Daughter and the Giant Apprentice of the Stoneheart Horde to Soaring Bird City, Lilith was making a public statement regarding her and Kronos.

Ava was no amateur; she understood the message being sent to the world.

This was the younger generation showing respect to their elders. It was a sign of recognition and inclusion. It was a gesture of respect from the main family line.

"Lady Elara has given the Prince a Dragon Egg. Lord Pallas has presented him with a morphic Trident."

"My Lady, the group has moved toward the shopping district. The Protector Guard and Shadow Detail are maintaining a secure zone around them."

"We have also cleared the streets of any trouble. The criminal elements have been warned to disappear. For as long as they are here, the underworld of Soaring Bird City will remain invisible."

Klythia, the shield-knight who had been at Ava's side from the start, delivered the report.

Since Ava took command of Soaring Bird City, her inner circle of knights had flourished. They held major administrative roles, and with the city's wealth backing them, every one of them had reached the peak of the Alpha rank.

"The war between the North and South is starting up again," Ava remarked quietly, her gaze following the distant group. "This is a vital time where the bonds and goals of the Alliance of Four are becoming inseparable."

"I will not allow any accidents to happen to these children while they are on my land. None."

"Increase security. Put the City Watch on high alert. If anyone looks out of place, arrest them immediately and ask questions later."

Even in her happiness, Ava remained practical.

She had ruled Soaring Bird City for over ten years. She had survived many trials and was no longer the fragile woman she once was. She had evolved into a true leader—composed, deep, and powerful.

"This might be the most joyful day Kronos has ever had. Let them enjoy it," she ordered.

"Bring them to the palace this evening. I will prepare their dinner myself."

It was a matter of returning the favor. Kronos had been welcomed in Stoneheart City, and Ava intended to show Elara and Pallas ten times that hospitality.

"A Dragon Egg..." Ava whispered as the knights left. "Kronos has wanted one for such a long time."

A mother understands her child. Ava might not have known his every thought at first, but over time, everything became clear. She knew what his heart longed for, and seeing him finally receive it brought her a sense of peace she hadn't known in years.
