THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 766 The Forbidden Continent

Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
In a shadowed hall, Amon and Vayne confronted the dying Wesker, his body ravaged by Saint Gehrman's unrelenting frost, screams of agony echoing through the chamber. Amon declared salvation impossible and ordered Vayne to end her brother's suffering, lamenting the loss of a favored demon. As Wesker clung to her in desperation, ranting about unfulfilled ambitions to challenge the Demon King, his body shattered in death, leaving Vayne alone amid the darkness. Far away, the Demon King Agaroth reacted with surprise and wild laughter to the spectacle. Vayne emerged with a bitter facade, but soon revealed a mad, ecstatic grin and a terrifying third eye, her true nature unleashed in sinister delight.

Day by day, the world faced unavoidable shifts.

In a brief period, it started shifting into a new stage—one that signaled the arrival of a fresh epoch.

Lately, an odd territory had emerged right in the universe's core…

A landmass born out of empty space.

Initially, enigma cloaked it, and nobody dared approach.

But that landmass triggered an extraordinarily uncommon event ..

The mighty powers stirred.

Those ultimate existences perched at the pinnacle of reality .. beings beyond anyone's full grasp. Their strength defied measurement, though they had always stayed out of worldly matters.

This might mark the initial instance of their purposeful and swift action.

Just their motion alone proved one fact:

This fresh territory held no small significance.

It probably harbored elements that exceeded all understanding.

Consequently, myriad species rallied, sending their mightiest warriors to probe the mystery and reveal the enigmas of that peculiar domain.

Within the horde of groups hurrying to seize control, the demon forces acted swiftly among the leaders.

Under Crimson's command, the Red Moon and top-ranked High Demon, along with the First Seat, they assembled a elite squad—made up of Crimson, Agares as the Second Seat, and Marvas as the Fifth Seat.

It wasn't long before the three arrived at the spot.

However, the sight awaiting them… challenged all reason.

While the three floated in the emptiness, they remained quiet, gazing at the peculiar territory ahead.

"This isn't a continent…"

Marvas whispered, his elderly tone weighted, upon first beholding it.

"…It's something else entirely."

The terrain in front looked like no planet or landmass they had known.

Rather, it appeared as an enormous, elaborate building .. an illogical edifice defying sense.

It evoked a gigantic device of unfathomable intricacy.

A maze so tangled that prolonged glances brought on migraines.

Its shape didn't stay constant.

Innumerable portals dotted every surface, altering ceaselessly every instant.

Put differently, a person could pass through an opening—only for it to disappear right after, sealing them within.

The passages twisted wildly .. at times creating basic box-like routes, at others twisting into forms more elaborate than logic permitted.

Scores… actually, thousands of layered shapes and separate zones blended in a nightmarish unity.

The demon group had reached the area earlier, but they held back from venturing in.

The same held for all other groups drawn to investigate this territory.

Without fail, they encircled the enigmatic land from varied, remote spots.

The portals facing them yawned invitingly—yet nobody crossed the threshold.

In their midst, Crimson's face grew stormy, fury slowly rising.

"What kind of nonsense is this?"

He clutched his armament .. a sword that transformed into a lance based on grip.

In the following moment, the First Seat poured a torrent of Aura onto his weapon, seizing the focus of all fighters nearby.

With one mighty stroke, Crimson hurled a colossal surge of ruinous energy at a barrier encircling the land.

The ruinous might was tremendous.

But as it approached the barrier, it scattered utterly, fading in an eerie, near-mystical way.

Witnessing this, Marvas—the Fifth Seat—released a drawn-out breath.

"That confirms it…"

Crimson gave a quiet nod, as Agares swore softly.

"I've never seen anything like this in my life."

Crimson lifted his palm to his view, handling his Aura with precision.

"This is no ordinary land," he stated, scanning the vicinity.

"There's an invisible force surrounding it."

"We can use Aura freely here… but for some reason, the moment we attempt to use it to attack the continent's walls—or any creature within a certain range of it—our Aura disperses completely."

That stood as the insight Crimson gained from thorough inspection of the zone.

The void now teemed with fighters—plenty of them foes.

Crimson had already noticed known presences.

Midir, the foremost of the Seven Great Powers.

The Light Bearers' group under Orested's lead.

And numerous other powerful entities—like Vordt, the Sixth, and his counterpart, Umber.

Such prominent arrivals ought to spark battles.

Yet oddly… no one could clash while staying near the land's edges.

That exact factor made them pause before entering.

Without Aura for combat, going in equaled stepping into danger without arms.

No soul knew the perils lurking beyond.

And sans fighting capability, demise loomed close.

So, by nature, all halted.

Within that crowd ..

Crimson's crimson gaze ignited momentarily as he locked onto the territory ahead.

"There's an invisible force field enveloping this place," he declared.

"Within its domain, a rule has been imposed."

"A rule such as—combat is forbidden within this area."

"As a result, using Aura to attack becomes impossible. It appears this place operates under laws that cannot be broken."

Crimson faced the closest entrance to the land.

"This rule only applies to the outer region," he went on.

"I don't believe it extends to the land inside."

That formed the verdict from his full assessment of the scene.

Still, he showed no comfort.

After all… additional rules might lurk inside .. ones that could limit their Aura more severely.

This marked the initial occasion the First Seat faced such a phenomenon.

Nothing had ever tampered with his Aura .. which he usually commanded without flaw.

Next to him, Marvas creased his brow, a worrisome idea taking shape.

"Crimson…" he uttered deliberately.

"What if someone exists here… someone who possesses absolute control over Aura?"

"…Someone our attacks simply do not work on?"

This idea arose straight from the land's enforced limit on them.

Upon hearing it, Crimson's look soured more.

"I don't want to entertain that thought," he replied icily.

"Even our great king, Agaroth, cannot do something like this."

Should a creature truly exist immune to Aura, it spelled disaster in every sense.

But Crimson pushed the notion aside quickly.

Instead, he advanced—first among all.

"We're going in."

The First Seat acted decisively, startling Marvas and Agares alike.

"But… what if we encounter something similar inside?" Marvas questioned, worry clear in his tone.

Crimson answered without delay.

"Remaining out here changes nothing. We'll decide what to do once we're inside."

His choice stood firm.

A dark red shine erupted from his armor as he readied to cross.

"Even if I can't attack my enemies," Crimson stated steadily,

"I can still use my power."

His Aura remained intact .. merely curbed.

With his strength at hand, Crimson trusted he could handle whatever blocked his way.

After all…

How many in this realm could truly oppose him?

Not even Agaroth, the Demon King, would fell him without effort.

And thus ..

The three demons unleashed their Auras and charged ahead, piercing the unknown land amid the astonished stares of all other gathered races.
