THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 734: The King’s Eye vs The Hand of the Ruler (3)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
"There is no reason to fret," he remarked with a composed air.
"I have zero intention of meeting my end in this place. Having only just returned... I have finally reunited with my children after such an agonizingly long separation."
Slash!
Surge after surge, the luminary of the Starlight family continued his relentless advance.
"There are still so many things I wish to say—
to Frey, and to Ada.
Those children have matured so much... and they did so while I was not there to see it."
"I have already squandered too much time that belonged to them.
I do not intend to lose a single moment more."
Slash!
The body of Abraham erupted in a flare of blinding radiance...
so powerful that strands of his long dark hair were bleached white by the sheer magnitude of the force he was summoning.
He was visibly pushing his physical form far past its natural breaking point.
"No one shall perish this day," Abraham proclaimed with unshakable determination, his gaze sharpening with a lethal glint.
"Today is not the day of our downfall."
Wesker’s face twisted into a dark scowl.
"It seems you have become conceited merely because you managed to strike down Zibar," he mocked.
"Do you honestly think all demons among the Ten Upper Ranks are of the same caliber, human?"
Once again, Wesker lifted his hand, exerting control over his perfect domain.
At his silent decree, the firmament itself seemed to collapse inward, seeking to consume Abraham entirely...
but Gehrman materialized at the critical instant, dragging him out of the strike's trajectory.
Gehrman’s entire focus was locked onto Wesker’s most lethal trait...
the unique power that solidified his status as one of the Top Five Wave Controllers in the world:
The Perfect Domain.
"Inside that territory, he can manifest fatal strikes at will..." Gehrman calculated.
"In that particular space, the advantage is indisputably his."
"However, I have already finished mapping the perimeter of his domain."
Utilizing a private voice transmission, Gehrman spoke to Abraham, directing their subsequent tactics.
"Wesker is capable of deploying his perfect domain within a twenty-meter radius in every direction.
Our objective is simple: remain outside that boundary and eliminate him with a synchronized long-range strike."
Such was Gehrman’s strategy...
the only feasible path to victory considering his current state.
While Fulgor’s power was vast, Gehrman was well aware it would soon dissipate.
Concluding this battle swiftly was their only chance.
Abraham signaled his agreement and began gathering every ounce of his strength.
Across from them, Wesker settled into a defensive posture, his crimson eyes narrowing as he tracked their every movement.
Internally, he was already sneering.
So, you believe my perfect domain is limited to twenty meters, and that you are safe attacking from the periphery...
Is that your conclusion, servant of Nameless?
Gradually, the King’s Eye began to pulse...
as Wesker set his snare in advance.
Gehrman and Abraham surged forward in unison, pooling their immense power to prepare their most devastating techniques.
Wesker waited patiently.
"Yes... draw closer," he muttered under his breath.
"Come and attempt to slay me. The conclusion is at hand!"
Both Gehrman and Abraham remained positioned outside Wesker’s supposed perfect domain...
and in the final heartbeat of their approach, they instinctively lowered their guard to pour everything into their ultimate attacks.
As long as we maintain this distance from the domain, we will be safe...
That was the conviction they both held.
And that—
was precisely the opening Wesker had been anticipating.
His smirk stretched into a truly ghoulish grin.
"Then perish!"
Wesker let out a roar as the very space around them began to vibrate.
Gehrman and Abraham were glowing with overwhelming energy, fully committed to their offensive—
making it impossible for them to raise their defenses when the strikes erupted from every angle simultaneously, zeroing in on them.
"I never suspected you would be so gullible, Saint Gehrman!"
Wesker barked, his voice thundering through the sky.
"Did you honestly believe my domain was restricted to such a pathetic range?!"
With those words, Wesker unleashed his full might... a horrifying strike that rent the heavens, crashing down upon Gehrman and Abraham in a single, ruinous wave.
Gehrman inhabited a delicate vessel, and Abraham lacked the durability to survive an assault of such magnitude.
Taking that hit directly should have spelled certain death for them both.
"The true reach of my domain spans over a hundred meters, you simpletons...
I merely had to feign a smaller radius to bait you...
and you walked right into the trap like fools."
From the start, Wesker had utilized a basic yet perfectly executed deception.
Every move was calculated to lure his foes into his territory with their guard down.
Gehrman had been wary.
Even after deducing that Wesker’s field was twenty meters, he had refused to step within fifty—just to be safe.
But Wesker had foreseen that caution.
That was why the actual scale of his domain was far more expansive.
Within those hundred meters, Wesker was a god.
There was no way out.
Wesker cackled with sadistic joy as he looked upon his enemies, whom the sky itself had shredded and consumed.
This should have signaled the end.
It was more than enough to ensure his triumph.
And yet...
Wesker’s smile suddenly vanished.
Out of nowhere, a bizarre frost began to crawl over his limbs, encasing him in ice at an alarming rate.
"What is this...?!"
At that exact moment, from the center of the destruction where Gehrman and Abraham should have been erased—
A piercing light exploded.
A brilliant aura flared, from which both Gehrman and Abraham stepped out, entirely unscathed.
That protective, overwhelming light had originated from Abraham...
it had acted as a shield for them both.
"You were the one who was played this time, Wesker," Gehrman shouted before vanishing and reappearing right in front of the Rank-Four Demon.
Simultaneously, frost surged over Wesker’s frame, locking him in place, while Gehrman’s left fist ignited with a terrifying blue flame.
"You underestimated me far too much.
I have existed much longer than you ever have...
and I have witnessed sights your wretched eyes will never behold."
From the beginning, Gehrman knew his foe was concealing his true hand.
That was why he had signaled Abraham to feign an all-out offense.
But in reality...
Abraham had activated his most powerful defensive art.
"Abraham Starlight Style — Supreme Art: Dawn Barrier."
Abraham’s form began to drift slowly down from the sky, having barely survived the brunt of Wesker’s savage attack...
but he had successfully created the window Gehrman required.
And Gehrman didn't waste it.
"Slay that wretched demon... once and for all," Abraham spoke with grim resolve.
Gehrman’s fist burned with blue fire so intense that Wesker’s body began to freeze solid just from being near it.
Then...
With a speed that defied the eye...
Gehrman delivered a blow with his absolute maximum power.
A massive detonation occurred, scrubbing Wesker’s existence from the world and obliterating his physical form without hesitation.
The resulting shockwave leveled everything in its wake, causing a cataclysm that made the heavens tremble.
Without a doubt, the strike was sufficient to end Wesker.
His demonic corpse was completely vaporized.
Every part of him was gone...
Save for one object.
Floating solitary in the frozen darkness, emitting a faint glow...
The King’s Eye.
