THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 698: Abraham Starlight

Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
As a brutal invasion of original demons ravages the Empire, legendary figures from the Age of War have awakened from centuries of slumber to defend humanity. Nova Starlight and Enver Sunlight reunite on the battlefield, only to be met by the withered Avalon, who seeks to lead them to the Shadow Sect while revealing the troubling disappearance of their strongest comrade, Zephyr. Their departure is halted by a crushing, murderous pressure emanating from Abraham Starlight. Despite being Nova’s descendant, Abraham confronts the ancient legends with unmistakable killing intent, standing as a peak-level threat who has seemingly turned against his own kind.

Abraham was a man who should have perished long ago...

So why was he standing before them now?

And how had his strength surpassed its former limits?

"It doesn’t matter. Regardless of who he has become... he is our foe."

Nova declared, heightening his vigilance to its peak.

Following his lead, the others braced themselves.

For the duration of a single breath, they locked eyes with him.

And then...

Abraham Starlight vanished into thin air.

It was as if his presence on that hill had been nothing but an illusion.

In the following heartbeat...

The faces of all three men drained of color, turning deathly pale and cold.

He was suddenly standing right in their midst.

Despite being SSS-Rank, not one of them had been able to track his movement.

Recognizing the sheer scale of the threat, the trio acted as one, launching a simultaneous assault.

Nova shaped a massive blade out of starlight that glowed with the intensity of a sun.

Enver’s fist ignited into a roaring inferno, the sheer heat causing the air to crackle.

Avalon’s sword lunged forward, aiming directly for Abraham’s throat.

Three devastating blows... all converging on a single target.

For a fleeting second, it appeared the strikes had connected.

However, Abraham simply shifted, pivoted, and spun... leaving only afterimages behind...

All three attacks passed harmlessly through empty shadows.

And then...

With a speed that defied logic, Abraham thrust out both arms, discharging a shockwave of pure aura that sent the three reeling in opposite directions.

The ripple of aura resembled a wave of gravitational repulsion... yet it was merely the result of Abraham’s unbridled power.

Summoning a blade of light, he blurred toward Nova.

Abraham was not in his right mind.

He functioned as nothing more than a tool...

A weapon programmed to seek out and destroy the most powerful adversary on the field.

And the strongest person there was—

"Me..."

Nova ground his teeth together as their blades clashed, creating a blinding flash of light.

They disappeared from sight...

Moving at the speed of light itself...

Stardust Style clashing against Stardust Style.

The confrontation was like a mirrored image...

A flawless imitation challenging the original creator.

From a distance, Enver and Avalon searched for a gap in the defense.

"This is insane... it’s like watching a man fight a duplicate of himself..."

Enver whispered.

Avalon’s gaze grew heavy.

"Nova possesses the superior skill—he is the one who founded and refined the Stardust Style.

But..."

Avalon tightened his grip.

"The gap in raw power is immense."

In terms of sheer output... Abraham held the absolute advantage.

BOOOOOOM!!!

A violent explosion of radiant light flared... sending Nova tumbling back from a devastating strike.

Nova stabilized himself in midair and lunged back into the fray, now supported by Avalon.

Abraham manifested a second blade, parrying both of their strikes at once... as shards of starlight shattered and flew around him.

Enver capitalized on the opening, materializing in front of Abraham with a burning fist ready to descend...

But Abraham was faster.

A kick... exceeding the speed of light—slammed into Enver’s face before the punch could land.

The impact propelled Enver high into the heavens.

Then, controlling his aura with supernatural precision, Abraham’s fingers sliced through the fabric of space, tearing it open and leaving deep, crimson wounds across Nova and Avalon.

The two warriors regained their balance immediately, their auras exploding as they dove back into the fight.

BOOOOOOM!!

The ground trembled and a colossal pillar of fire reached for the clouds as Enver tapped into his ultimate state—

"ILIOS!!! WAR MODE!!"

Enver bellowed, charging forward through a tempest of violet flames hot enough to liquefy the earth.

Even so, Abraham met him head-on—matching, and then overpowering, all three of them at the same time.

"Who is this freak?! Can a human being actually possess this level of strength?!"

Enver yelled, his hands torn and bleeding after every clash.

Abraham was a nightmare made flesh.

Even at the height of their legends, Chun Ma and Kazis Valerion could not be compared to the being he had become.

The realization made their blood run cold.

"He’s utilizing the Ignition!"

Nova shouted. Enver went stiff.

"The what?!"

Nova was the only one who truly grasped the nature of their opponent.

"Ignition is the final boundary of the Stardust Style... It is the act of burning away one's life force to gain absolute power for a fleeting moment!!"

Nova had never dared to use it himself.

To trigger Ignition was to embrace certain death.

It was meant to be a suicidal, temporary state.

Yet, Abraham was maintaining it with perfect stability.

"That's impossible..."

And then... Nova spotted something even more terrifying.

When Abraham’s skin was sliced... there was no blood.

No gore.

No muscle.

Only pure light spilled from the wounds.

Aura.

His entire physical form was composed of concentrated aura.

"You’ve got to be joking..."

Enver spat as the battle raged on.

Their enemy possessed a body made of aura while sustaining Ignition without falling apart.

Such a feat should have been impossible for any living creature.

But Abraham had turned it into a reality, all because of one factor...

"The Absolute Manipulator."

Watching the spectacle from a distance with an amused expression, Wesker began to chuckle.

"Abraham Starlight is truly a marvel... he has exceeded all my expectations."

"As his life reached its end, he entered the Ignition state... his power surged across several realms simultaneously. However, that form is a death sentence."

"In that exact moment... Abraham’s unique ability absorbed the Ignition, stabilizing the phenomenon. For a short window, he became a miracle that should not exist..."

Wesker’s grin turned predatory.

"But one thing held him back."

"He was human."

Wesker leaned his chin on his palm, playing back the memory of the fight.

"His mortal frame couldn't handle the pressure. The strain ended him."

The Absolute Manipulator had achieved perfect mastery over Ignition...

But Abraham had died before the metamorphosis could finish.

"I went to great lengths to preserve and reconstruct his body afterward... but the outcome was worth every effort."

Wesker’s smile grew wider.

"Now, Abraham Starlight has been resurrected through Geppetto’s power... and that inconceivable strength is entirely his to command."

"Which means—"

Wesker announced with total confidence:

"The Abraham Starlight of today is worthy of challenging the Ten High Seats... and even the Seven Great Powers."

Abraham Starlight had always been a star that outshone all others...

A miracle wrapped in a human soul.

Had it not been for his humanity...

He would have already claimed a place among the Seven Great Powers.

"To think his greatest flaw... was merely being a human? Hahahaha!!"

Wesker laughed maniacally as Abraham continued to dominate the ancient heroes of humanity.

Wesker had taken advantage of the Engineer’s absence to seize this monstrous fighter, turning him into his personal weapon.

It was a grave error that the blue-eyed one would never overlook.

Meanwhile... in a distant location.

In a hidden sanctuary, Gehrman sat in silence, synchronizing with his aura and preparing for what was to come.

He understood exactly what had transpired with Abraham.

He had witnessed the events on the battlefield from afar.

Yet, he remained unmoved... not showing even a hint of emotion.

It was as if he had foreseen this entire outcome.

"...."

Gehrman slowly unsealed his eyes and stood up.

"The time has come... for the High Demons to return to the grave."

He spoke with a freezing, echoing voice before vanishing.

The Clash of Legends had commenced...

And the tempest of battles that could slay gods loomed over the horizon.
