The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1849: Daring Odyssey

Rex got thrown back hard from the collision.
The smooth, reflective marble floor captured the path of his blood in an arc as he soared before crashing into the wall with a booming thud. He slumped down the grand wall, trailing red stains behind until he hit the floor hard.
Yet, he stayed on his knees, straight and unyielding.
His grip tightened fiercely on his face while rage throbbed through every part of him.
“Your Majesty!” Linthia hurried over to him in worry.
“Let him alone for now,” Princess Davina grabbed her arm and held her back from getting closer.
Linthia felt like arguing back.
She sensed a mighty force had hit Rex, and she could aid in his recovery.
But quickly she saw that Princess Davina made sense.
A disturbing, grinding sound reached her ears like bones rubbing wrong. Then came a fierce heat that scorched her flesh. Turning her gaze to Rex, she understood it all stemmed from him—the manifestations of his seething fury.
Rex had spent considerable time eagerly gearing up to head back home.
Yet, days prior, an unexpected alert startled him.
The System issued a dire warning: the Silverstar Pack faced assault, and his companions were in grave peril.
It popped up while he was wrapping up affairs in the Spirit Realm.
Without a second thought, Rex sprang into action.
He abandoned all tasks and hastened to bridge the gap back to the Mortal Realm.
In that instant, nothing else counted but arriving to aid the others swiftly.
To reenter the Mortal Realm, he needed to retrace his entry point to the Spirit Realm—that route offered the simplest and quickest way. It would enable an immediate link with his true form via the Spirit Conversion technique.
However, en route, he located the precise spot of his allies in the Mortal Realm.
And just as he dreaded, they weren’t at their base. Not in Dargena City.
An enemy struck while they traveled. Out in the open. Possibly even divided.
Rex would have felt more at ease if they’d stayed within the city, as the castle adjusted to the world’s power levels. Currently, it might withstand assaults from tenth-rank powerhouses or even stronger foes.
But his companions weren’t there.
Given the slower passage of time in this place, Rex skipped merging with his original body.
Rather, he targeted the specific coordinates in the Spirit Realm to emerge directly where they were. This let him use a short-term vessel to assist them—then join his real body later.
The System suggested this path, and Rex agreed it was wiser.
Due to the adjustment, over half a day passed before he reached those coordinates.
Astonishingly, they lay inside Dorn’s domain, a fortunate twist.
At that point, Rex remained unaware of who had the nerve to target the Silverstar Pack in the Mortal Realm.
His thoughts pointed toward the Angels.
Though positioned at the continent’s edge and blocked by Demons, this emerging force somehow struck his group. Having faced Void personally, his suspicions naturally shifted there.
But the Angels weren’t to blame.
Kaiser struck again as the perpetrator.
Rex learned this not via the System or detecting the Blood Moon’s aura.
Pure luck revealed it to him.
As he set up to pierce through and ripped open the dimensional barrier, a sea of red greeted him.
A barrier of blood reinforced the divide between worlds.
The Spirit Conversion technique alone couldn’t breach it. He might funnel extra gold to bolster it, but the expense was staggering. Even then, he lacked sufficient gold to shatter it.
In fact, scraping together enough for the basic use proved challenging.
He had no surplus to enhance it further.
That’s when the truth dawned on him sharply.
Kaiser wasn’t retaliating for Rex usurping the Blood Moon’s essence via the taboo ritual. Nor for that odd ploy to boost Empress Morgana’s strike against him. Nor his rise to Awakened Demigod. Even the time differences noted via the System.
Each piece formed a grand scheme to cocoon him in false security and assurance.
They signaled Kaiser’s hidden maneuvers.
Rex had fixated on his advancements and lingering mysteries.
He overlooked the wider scheme—that Kaiser erected this blockade to bar his return to the Mortal Realm. Rex assumed the Blood Moon still pursued him relentlessly, but it had wised up.
After multiple failed bids to eliminate Rex, success eluded it.
Direct force. Ambush. Even deploying the Blood Moon’s own territory—all proved futile.
It grew clear that outright slaying Rex posed extreme difficulty.
With the force backing him and his unyielding spirit, direct elimination seemed unattainable.
Even deities struggled with the task.
Thus, the Blood Moon watched closely. Evolved. Adjusted.
It determined that only Rex himself could end Rex.
Rex’s nails tore into his face, gouging deep wounds as visions from the Mortal Realm flooded his thoughts.
He pushed beyond his limits and summoned enough composure to shift Gistella and Evelyn to the safety of the Silverstar Genesis. But only two could go—one remained, and Adhara alone seemed fit for the ordeal.
The agony of abandoning her to fight solo tormented him.
Merely imagining her battling for survival unaided left him gasping, his grip so intense that claws pierced bone.
Yet, she alone held any hope.
“Can you glimpse what lies past the portal?” Linthia asked Princess Davina.
She burned with curiosity.
“Only a brief sight,” Princess Davina confirmed with a nod. “It’s a sealed-off dimension—encircled by a vast sea of blood. A warzone strewn with bodies and gore. The remaining fighters are solely werewolves. All injured and clearly close to Rex.”
Piercing the blood-shrouded veil proved tough, but she had her tricks.
And she caught faint impressions of the scene.
From her words, Linthia grasped that these were Rex’s packmates.
Only threats to them could ignite such wrath in him.
“This isn’t right...” Linthia balled her hands as shudders wracked her frame. “Why does misfortune always strike His Majesty? He gets no chance to unwind. To catch his breath. To mend. It seems like the whole world conspires to break him down.”
“The reason’s straightforward,” Princess Davina breathed out softly. “Fate has greater plans for him.”
She herself wondered if she’d stay composed in Rex’s shoes.
The pressures he endured went far beyond mere stress.
“Hmm...?” Princess Davina arched her eyebrows as Rex rose at last.
His chest was mending still, tissues weaving back, blood dripping to form puddles around him on the floor. Yet his stance straightened. His gaze held firm. His pulse steadied now.
Like a spectral figure drenched in blood, he advanced toward the rift he’d opened before.
Princess Davina tugged Linthia aside.
Having spent her youth amid conflicts, encircled by the fury of mighty warriors, she honed sharp instincts for others’ anger and ways to navigate it. Even her father, Duke Lorcan, turned deaf to her pleas at his angriest peaks.
He ignored even his daughter’s cries.
Rex mirrored that state now.
Better to let him simmer down on his own.
Rex positioned himself at the rift’s edge. Faced the bloody obstruction. Then, surging with power, he balled his hand and slammed it into the shield. His force erupted on contact, fracturing the room as if it were fragile crystal.
<Notice: the user lacks the strength to shatter the wall of blood>
This message failed to deter him.
It only fueled his rage further.
Bam—!
Bam—!
Blow by relentless blow, Rex’s knuckles battered the barrier.
He unleashed all his pent-up fury and despair with each strike.
Though his hand’s bones cracked and splintered, Rex persisted. The shockwaves from his assault wrecked the chamber. Princess Davina levitated, enveloping the space in her aura to prevent a cave-in.
She refrained from interfering.
Releasing it all was vital for him to steady his mind for what came next.
Crack—!
Rex’s power surged once more against the immovable wall, achieving naught—as he exhaled heavily. His eyes glowed with fading intensity, then he pivoted, striding toward the hallway.
“What’s your plan now?” Princess Davina questioned, halting him in his steps. “What do you intend to do next?”
After so much time near Rex, she already sensed his choice.
To others, it might seem reckless, but she knew it as his inevitable course.
“You’ve probably figured it out,” Rex replied in an icy, composed tone.
It belied the intense bloodthirst radiating from him.
Glancing back, Rex revealed a face hard as iron—resolve carved deep in every feature. His mouth curved up slightly. The light from lamps illuminated half his visage, the other shrouded in gloom, one eye alight while its pair lurked in darkness.
“I’ve played defense too much,” He murmured with dark menace. “Time to see how he likes being the prey. I’m heading to the God Realm...”

“Just as I thought,” Princess Davina smiled, her hunch confirmed. “You’re as bold as ever.”
“I’ll accept that as praise,” Rex flashed a grin while heading off to ready himself.
Meanwhile, Linthia stood speechless.
“God Realm...?” She echoed, her eyes flaring wide in disbelief. Her insides churned at the words. “We’re venturing into a domain where Gods face no bounds?! I can’t wrap my head around why this seems wise!”
“Feel free to remain here,” Princess Davina chuckled and walked off too.
Linthia hesitated briefly.
Then she set her jaw, “Hold on for me!”
...
Realms differ in strength and tier based on their inherent energy levels.
The Mortal Realm ranks lowest due to the ancient seal, with the Spirit Realm just higher. Back then, the two stood evenly matched. Now, Rex remained unsure of how many realms besides these existed.
Similar energy-level realms likely dotted the cosmos.
Yet the God Realm sets itself apart.
It has eternally ranked superior, paired with the Chaos Realm.
Unlike the Spirit Realm, the God Realm requires no unique entry rites. It welcomes all seekers. But entering and surviving are worlds apart—peril lurks eternally beyond.
No rational being would attempt the God Realm sans divine or near-divine stature.
Rex, however, defied reason.
“Savor your final hours, Kaiser,” Rex smirked as he crossed the portal. “I’m coming for you.”
