In the radiant Eternal Soul Realm, Jasmir, a Knight of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom, stealthily scouts an Eternal Soul Kingdom stronghold using her Ancestor Eye but finds no leads. Suddenly ambushed and immobilized by invisible threads, she encounters Cain, the Scarlet King from the Ninth Realm, who approaches without detection via the Power of Karma. After a tense standoff, Cain withdraws his restraint and proposes an alliance, intrigued by the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom's operations in the Eighth Realm.

Jasmir's gaze sharpened while she paid attention to Cain's suggestion.

His power radiated clearly, impossible to ignore. That he had snuck up on her without alerting her keen senses was remarkable. Only a handful of fighters at her caliber could suffer such an unexpected ambush.

Yet, her selection for this task stemmed not from being the mightiest.

Numerous fighters in the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom surpassed her in might. To her, even if the Scarlet King held strange powers, a figure from the Ninth Realm couldn't rival the supreme experts of the upper Paradise Realms. All her hesitations, computations, and sparks of wariness raced through her mind, exposed plainly to Cain.

Via the Flow, her mental shifts appeared as distinct waves on a serene pond.

Still, he merely offered a subtle smile.

With an effortless flick of his wrist, the unseen bindings dissolved, restoring her complete command over her form. Simultaneously, he flung a tiny crystal her way.

"I realize linking up with an outsider from another Realm might exceed your clearance," Cain stated evenly. "Go ahead and reach out to your leaders. Should they show interest, employ the crystal to connect with me."

Jasmir snatched it, eyeing him briefly before nodding faintly. Then she faded from view.

She upheld her hiding methods, but after slipping out of sight, her velocity surged. She distanced herself rapidly from the Scarlet King-and from any bases of the

Eternal Soul Kingdom-until arriving in a secluded area beyond the reach of prominent powers.

At that point, she finally permitted herself to unwind.

A contemplative look spread over her features as she weighed Cain's proposition. But soon, she dismissed it with a shake of her head.

"Before long, the Ninth Realm must yield its piece of the Sacred Treasure," she whispered. "No sense in tangling with a guy like-"

Her speech halted abruptly.

Her eyes bulged in alarm.

A blade's edge protruded from her torso.

Astonishment and terror locked her face.

Her Royal Blutlinie essence responded. Natural safeguards triggered as her vitality burst forth, striving to

retaliate.

The effort endured under a second.

A rush of pale flames surged into her veins, racing across her frame, halting every molecule and speck in total immobility.

Her strength extinguished.

Her motions halted.

Her awareness dimmed.

From behind, Cain smoothly pulled back the Blade of the End of Times. He seized her form before it toppled and vanished entirely.

Prior to departing, he incinerated all lingering traces of their vital forces and presences. Should anyone later sense a fight had taken place, no clues would reveal the combatants-no mark, no path, no lead to pursue.

Thirty minutes passed before Cain resurfaced over a serene-looking lake.

Its face lay still and reflective.

Yet the liquid was far from commonplace.

It arose from the Omen of Time. Any normal entity nearing it would see their years drain, their being gradually eroded by time's corrosion.

For Cain, though, it suited perfectly.

Owing to his command of the Omen of Time, the lake held no threat. Crucially, it was a spot few would venture near-an excellent spot to conceal oneself.

He plunged into the depths until touching the lakebed.

Only then did he shift focus to Jasmir once more.

The Quietus Force had kept her in the precise state of unconsciousness. The dread in her stare lingered, suspended.

Cain gave a slight shake of his head.

In truth, her doom was fixed from the instant he discovered her.

The sole reason for delaying her death was uncertainty about ending her swiftly before her total might unleashed. Amid the ongoing conflict, the Eternal Soul Realm's troops were hyper-alert to odd energy bursts. Even a minor flare might spark a massive probe.

Discretion proved vital.

Thus, he had engaged her initially.

Upon touching her, he had imprinted her with Karma. Even post-release of the holds, the karmic links clung, quietly skewing her senses and gut feelings.

They wouldn't block her entirely.

But they rendered sensing Cain's aura impossible.

Regarding his pitch for alliance with the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom...

It was pure deception.

Cain hadn't entered the Eternal Soul Realm seeking partnerships.

He sought only to slay.

To amplify his power.

Teaming with Nirvana operatives could offer short-term camouflage,

yet it would also curb his independence. In the least, they'd hinder his pace. Worse, they might seek to exploit him as a pawn.

Such an outcome was intolerable.

Nevertheless, the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom's presence in the Eighth Realm held significance.

Not for any desire to join forces.

Rather, because warfare bred disorder.

And disorder bred chances.

With the Seventh and Eighth Realms already in strife, Cain could exploit the turmoil to penetrate further into foe lands-and reap

many more souls than solo efforts allowed.

"Time to uncover your secrets," he uttered softly.

He rested a palm on Jasmir's forehead.

His soul energy pierced straight into her psyche.

Cain aimed not to spare her soul, unleashing full force. He ripped past psychic walls, recall locks, and innate shields, pulling out all details-every operation summary, every hierarchy, every patrol path, every tactical aim.

He required the complete overview of the Seventh Realm's activities in the Eternal Soul Realm.

And he wouldn't cease until obtaining it.

The extraction demanded effort and duration.

Yet in the end, he dissected every hidden truth in the mind

of the defeated Alpha-Omega Royal Blutlinie.

Upon completion, astonishment briefly crossed his features.

"The Immortal Nirvana Kingdom targets more than the Eighth Realm,"

he murmured lowly. "They're warding off the Sixth Realm's troops as well... who in turn resist advances from the Fifth."

His gaze tightened.

He had presumed the strife confined to the Seventh, Eighth, and

Ninth Realms, given one Sacred Treasure fragment split among them.

Evidently, his knowledge fell short.

"The Realm conflict ignited well before the Ancestors'

Tomb unlocked," Cain comprehended.

This implied far graver peril.

When the Realms finally accessed the Tomb...

The enmity, the vendettas, the bloodshed- all would have reached fever pitch. And upon their convergence in that sealed domain-

"The carnage," Cain breathed, "shall be total."
