The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 454 Greatness
Previously on The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System...
Rising to his feet, Qingyi inquired, "System... do you have the power to grant a mana heart to someone?"
He tightened his grip as a vortex of flames erupted around him, incinerating every speck of grime on his skin.
[Negative. Such a feat should be impossible.]
With a heavy sigh, Qingyi posed the same question to Ruxue, and subsequently to Qianyao and Margareth.
Every response mirrored the first.
Based on their collective understanding, such a phenomenon was inconceivable.
Ultimately, the world of Cultivation was governed by fundamental laws. Violating these principles usually resulted in a gruesome demise or the descent of heavenly tribulations.
One such law dictated that a human vessel could not endure the presence of two distinct energy sources operating at once.
Even harboring two variations of Qi within a single source was known to cause complications, let alone two entirely different types of energy.
That warrior’s physical form should have been shredded to pieces! Yet, it remained intact.
Qingyi ground his teeth in frustration. He banished the demonic cultivator to the mind world to serve as sustenance for Khaedryss before soaring into the sky.
He could detect the village's strongest masters beginning to mobilize. They were closing in on his position, their mana pulses reaching out toward him like faint ripples.
To Qingyi, they were nothing more than insects, but he felt no desire to waste his time on them at this moment.
With a fluid motion, he accelerated toward the horizon. Tilting his body mid-flight, he retrieved the scroll provided by the bishop.
The document contained more than just mission directives; it featured a detailed map indicating their designated meeting point.
The location sat just north of the western region, several hundred kilometers away from the border of the Grand Duchy of Vaeldrinn.
This was a prosperous, mountainous territory belonging to the dragon elves. Naturally, the prospect stirred Qingyi’s excitement.
He would conclude his tasks there, and once the foundation was laid, crossing the border would be simple. From there, he would seek out Seraphine, the sister of Elize.
"I'll worry about that later...!" Qingyi thought to himself, pushing his flight speed to the limit.
The duration he spent within the mind world had caused a significant delay, and the other heroes would likely arrive soon. He had no intention of being the last to show up.
The trek lasted four more days. Qingyi maintained a swift pace while carefully managing his Qi to avoid drawing unnecessary eyes.
As he drew within a few kilometers of his destination, he angled his descent. His silhouette cut through a thick canopy of vines and leaves before he landed softly on the forest floor.
It was a sweltering summer day under a bright sun.
Yet, this specific grove felt oddly refreshed and peaceful, with a cooling breeze dancing through the young man's flowing black hair.
A stunning woman manifested at Qingyi’s side. Her expression carried a hint of pouting as she tucked a stray, golden curl behind her ear.
"Hmm... Hubby, why couldn't you have waited a bit longer? Sister Elize was just about to show me a fantastic cake recipe!" Celestia complained, causing Qingyi to chuckle softly.
"Is baking a cake more vital to you than your service to Auranys?"
He teased, his tone light and playful.
"Oh! That's... well, that's important too! But... uh..." Celestia stammered, her face turning a soft shade of pink as she looked away.
She was completely out of excuses.
'Kind of important?' Qingyi mused internally.
He realized he had truly pampered Celestia, though it wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
There was no harm in her cherishing time with her sisters more than a mandate from her goddess.
Qingyi gave Celestia’s backside a playful slap before pulling her into a kiss. He drew her close, feeling the weight of her perfect, pale breasts pressing against his chest.
Her lips felt chilled and tasted sweet.
She had clearly been indulging in a bowl of ice cream right before he summoned her.
"You mischievous woman..." Qingyi murmured, squeezing her hips and drawing a muffled, soft moan from her throat.
He felt the urge to take her right there on the spot, but he knew the timing was poor.
Turning away, the pair began the final walk toward their objective.
Vast distances away, a lone figure stood within a murky, flooded swamp.
A heavy dark cloak concealed his form, leaving only his striking blue eyes and short golden hair visible, glowing faintly in the dim light.
At his feet lay a massive water lizard with a severed throat, surrounded by dozens of its fallen kin.
"W-we are in your debt, Young Hero! Please, allow us to give you a ride. We can escort you to Stormwind if you wish." An elderly man, evidently a baron, stepped from his carriage.
Despite his status, he bowed deeply to the youth.
"That won't be necessary, hahaha," the young hero answered, rubbing the back of his head with an awkward grin.
The nobleman shook his head, disappointed, but chose not to press further.
He had witnessed the overwhelming power of this youth, who seemed to lack any ties to the major noble houses.
He wasn't being overly greedy by trying to build a bridge with such a powerhouse, was he?
The young man turned away from the noble and broke into a run.
He leaped between the trees, sprinting with his arms trailing behind him—a posture that Qingyi would have instantly recognized and mocked with laughter.
Lucien harbored a deep, burning resentment for Qingyi, a hatred fueled by intense envy.
He struggled to mask it, but he was only human, unable to fully suppress the inner demon that plagued his heart.
"Hmph... that bastard will never even dream of reaching the heights the Goddess has planned for me..." Lucien muttered in his mind, recalling his arrival in this world and his most vital attribute.
[The destined eternal consort of the Goddess of Light and Justice]
He was certain that he was fated for infinite glory. He was absolutely sure that Qingyi could never steal that destiny from him.
