The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 421 - Wedding (01)

Previously on The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System...
Qingyi undergoes a grueling breakthrough to the True Immortal Realm, enduring intense physical pain as his body and meridians are rebuilt to accommodate an immortal soul. The process culminates in the formation of his immortal mind and a powerful shockwave that rattles the royal palace. With his new cultivation level secured, he prepares for his wedding to Isabel, eventually agreeing to include his other wives in the ceremony at her request. As the celebration begins and guests arrive at the courtyard, Qingyi looks toward a future beyond the Kingdom of Valemont, setting his sights on the heroes of the Rose Empire.

Beside David, Qingyi waited at the center of the altar.

The enthusiastic murmurs of his wives filled his ears for a moment before he shifted his attention back to the guests who were arriving in small groups.

David soon departed from the altar to welcome the attendees, leaving Qingyi to sit among his other wives.

With several hours remaining before the actual start of the ceremony, he found himself with plenty of leisure time.

The hall gradually filled as various noble houses arrived. While some directed jealous stares at Qingyi, others, particularly the capital’s bishop, appeared incensed by the perceived insolence of both Qingyi and the royal lineage.

In the bishop's eyes, not only was Qingyi a sinner, but the royal family had treated his office with utter contempt.

They had gone so far as to fetch a priest from a distant, minor city to conduct the nuptials.

For half a century, the responsibility of marrying the capital's nobility had rested solely on his shoulders.

He wondered what gave David the right to overturn such a long-standing tradition.

Ultimately, the bishop had to suppress his resentment, sitting toward the rear and seething in silence.

His presence was only due to his official obligations to the royal family, a duty mandated by his superior when he first stepped into his role.

Predictably, the crowd paid him no mind.

Despite being devoted followers of Auranys, the Valemont kingdom sat on the far edge of the continent. It was a secluded realm, isolated from the direct reach of the divine kingdom of Auranys.

Meanwhile, Qingyi enjoyed the attention of his wives, who pampered him by placing treats in his mouth as he ate at his own pace.

The cuisine didn't quite reach the standards of Elize’s cooking, but it was respectable enough.

“It is time for me to go...” he remarked, his eyes opening slightly.

The guest list was now complete.

Ignoring the critical stares of the crowd, he rose and made his way to the massive marble dais, standing directly before the priest.

Convention dictated that he should drop to his knees to seek the blessing of Auranys, yet he remained upright.

He stood tall, his posture radiating pride.

He refused to kneel before anyone he didn't respect.

The priest was clearly displeased by this defiance, but he was powerless to act.

Qingyi was an outsider who did not worship his goddess, and his strength was sufficient to annihilate everyone in the room.

Against such a person, the priest had no leverage.

Qingyi simply stood his ground, turning slightly toward the audience. David stepped up beside him, a wide grin across his face.

“Today, I am delighted to declare once more that my dear Isabel has returned. Furthermore, she has chosen a man of great honor and power to be her husband.

This is the man who rescued our lineage and the entire realm from destruction. He is the one who struck down a formidable Orc warlord and the traitorous dog who sold out humanity.” David paused for effect.

“Because of this, I am honored to unite my daughter with this man, Long Qingyi, on this day.”

As David’s announcement concluded, the ceremony commenced. The band began to play, filling the air with soft, melodic tunes.

The massive double doors, which had been sealed since the guests' arrival, swung open. Two women emerged, walking hand-in-hand.

One was Queen Sofia, radiating her usual grace and composure. Beside her was Isabel.

The dark-skinned beauty looked more radiant than ever. A sophisticated, long white gown hugged her curves, and her snowy hair was styled in an elegant updo.

A delicate, translucent veil draped over her face, softly masking her fine features.

She held a light bouquet near her waist, her midsection appearing so petite and slender that it seemed it might snap under the pressure of her bountiful chest.

With measured steps, she approached Qingyi and ascended the altar. Releasing Sofia’s hand, she stood alone with her husband-to-be and the priest. “You look wonderful in those robes, Hubby... you really should wear black more often,” Isabel murmured, her gaze lingering on Qingyi’s attire.

The outfit was noble, sophisticated, and striking.

The midnight-black fabric emphasized his powerful physique, forming a sharp V-shape. A long overskirt draped over his trousers, embellished with golden dragon motifs that Meilin had meticulously embroidered by hand; the work was flawless and majestic.

Qingyi responded with a simple smile.

He found the clothes to his liking as well, and in truth, he realized he should have discarded the traditions of his former master long ago.

That old man had provided him with nothing but bitter memories.

Linking her arm with his, Qingyi faced the priest, whose expression soured even more.

Would Isabel also refuse to kneel for Auranys’ blessing?

He wondered what was wrong with the youth of this era.

‘I’d only bow to her if she were willing to become my hubby's wife, hehehe,’ Isabel thought to herself with a secret smile.

She had already discussed Auranys with Qingyi. She was well aware that the goddess held no affection for her husband and had even attempted to curse him.

She didn't know how Qingyi possessed such knowledge, but she never questioned his word.

With a heavy sigh, the priest began the rites.

“We are gathered here for the sacred union of Long Qingyi and Isabel Valemont.” He gestured toward the sky.

A golden statue stood behind him, representing the mortal image of Auranys.

Golden Qi radiated from his hand toward the icon, causing it to erupt in a brilliant light.

“By the authority granted to me by His Holiness, the Bishop of Arca Cathedral, I confer the blessing of Auranys upon you. May her protection follow you, may your years be many, and may your bond be undying,” the priest declared, looking toward Qingyi.

“Long Qingyi, do you vow to cherish and shield Isabel Valemont for all eternity?”

“Yes.”

The priest gave a nod and turned his attention to Isabel.

“Isabel Valemont, do you vow to serve and cherish Long Qingyi for all eternity?”

“I do,” Isabel answered, her face flushing as she turned to face Qingyi.

The handsome youth reached out for her veil. He lifted it slowly, uncovering Isabel’s stunning countenance.

He leaned in and kissed her without hesitation.

His lips pressed against her soft, pink, inviting lips, and he could feel the weight of her large breasts against his chest.
