The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 416 Golden Convergence Pendant

Zharuk, empowered by a golden pendant, clashed with Qingyi in a devastating display of elemental power. Their collision decimated the surrounding orc forces, but Qingyi ultimately defeated Zharuk, crushing his head to prevent any further resurgence. However, as Qingyi examined Zharuk's talisman, a stealthy spear pierced him from behind.

A cold shiver ran down the spine of the Belgrath official who had launched the spear at Qingyi.

This man was a formidable eighth-ring expert, a power level comparable to a False Immortal. He was a truly elite warrior who possessed a significant chance of breaking through to the ninth ring.

As one of Belgrath’s most trusted subordinates, he had been entrusted with a magic scroll containing that specific spear. It was infused with one of his master's most devastating strikes and concealed by advanced stealth arrays.

His aim had been perfect, targeting the exact location of Qingyi’s mana heart. For a brief moment, he felt a surge of pure ecstasy, believing his lethal ambush had succeeded.

That joy, however, was snatched away and replaced by paralyzing horror when Qingyi nonchalantly gripped the spear protruding from his chest, yanked it out, and tossed it to the dirt.

His terror peaked as the gaping hole in Qingyi's chest sealed itself instantly, with even the internal damage mending in a heartbeat.

"You’re very courageous. Unfortunately, courage without power is worth as much as a brain without a body." Qingyi remarked with a smile.

The officer scrambled to retreat, but his fate was already sealed.

Before he could move, Qingyi closed the distance. With a casual, almost gentle swing of his hand, he delivered a slap. The impact caused the officer’s head to burst like a ripe watermelon, leaving a headless corpse to slump onto the ground.

Qingyi then shifted his focus toward the remaining Belgrath soldiers encircling the area.

Panic seized them, and they scattered in every direction. Meanwhile, the main guard responsible for Belgrath’s safety had already fled several kilometers away.

Qingyi briefly toyed with the idea of hunting them down but ultimately shook his head. He turned his attention back to the grueling conflict between the royal military and the orc horde.

The green-skinned savages remained oblivious to the demise of their commander, continuing their savage onslaught with bloodthirsty zeal.

Already, over two thousand royal soldiers had fallen in the fray.

The orcs had suffered heavier losses, though primarily because they were caught in the crossfire of the duel between Qingyi and Zharuk. Now, however, they were starting to regain their momentum on the battlefield.

With a fluid motion, Qingyi unleashed the fourth form of the Tempest Monarch Sword Art.

Manifesting out of thin air, blades began to surround him—first dozens, then hundreds, and finally thousands. Once the air was thick with steel, he commanded them to descend upon the orcs.

The blades fell like a torrential rain, slicing through hides, bones, fat, and muscle without distinction.

The air was filled with the gruesome sounds of slaughter as the entire orc vanguard was annihilated in an instant.

The carnage did not end there.

Qingyi’s ethereal swords pivoted in mid-air, spinning before diving into the enemy's rear ranks to continue their relentless butchery.

The earth was soaked in crimson. Under Qingyi’s frigid gaze, the screams of agony and hopelessness went unanswered.

With a soft sigh, he shook his head. Circulating Draconic Qi into his brain and eyes, he began to inspect the golden artifact held in his grasp.

It was a circular pendant of gold, suspended by a delicate silver chain.

At its center was the likeness of a smiling woman, though the image was weathered by the passage of time, making her features difficult to discern.

While it appeared complete at first glance, the pendant featured small grooves on its edges, suggesting it was merely one piece of a larger set.

[Name: Golden Convergence Pendant Description: A relic forged many millennia ago by the era's most legendary craftsman. Qingyi’s eyes glittered with intensity as he read the description.

This was the source of Zharuk’s unnatural strength and, more importantly, the very item that had marked Lucien as a chosen hero.

The handsome youth couldn't suppress a grin as he drifted down from the heavens toward the waiting troops, who were chanting his titles.

"Lightning Prince! Prince of Storms! Lightning Prince, Prince of Storms!"

They roared in unison, their eyes shining with a reverence that nearly eclipsed the grief of losing their brothers-in-arms.

Many were seasoned veterans for whom death was a constant companion. They knew they could not afford to linger on their mourning.

"Your Highness." The ninth-ring general approached and knelt before Qingyi. "Should we maintain the chase? The remnants of Belgrath’s army shouldn't be too far."

"No," Qingyi replied, shaking his head. "Their spirit is broken, their commander is a cripple, and their ranks are decimated. They are on the verge of total collapse. We can afford to rest."

With a wide smile, Qingyi commanded his forces to scavenge the battlefield and finish setting up camp for the night.

Once the arrangements were made, he pulled up his status interface.

His current lust points were relatively low, as he hadn't found much time lately to spend with his wives, but he knew he would soon have ample opportunity.

His priority was reaching the True Immortal Realm and determining his next move with the pendant, but those were problems for tomorrow.

For now, Qingyi intended to reward his men.

With a flick of his wrists, he cleared a large space in the center of the camp. He accessed the system shop and purchased a massive quantity of premium provisions.

Cakes, gourmet treats, snacks, meat from rare spirit beasts, and an array of fine wines, beers, and spirits appeared.

Qingyi did not hold back, ensuring his soldiers feasted on the finest goods. He bought enough supplies to satisfy an army of sixty thousand.

The troops spent the remainder of the night celebrating and eating, gathering their strength for the coming day, when they would finally unleash their righteous anger upon Belgrath.
