The Bloodline System Chapter 1665 1665: Universal Enlightenment Bloodline

Previously on The Bloodline System...
The Overseer and other deities effortlessly annihilated the last resistance using overwhelming power, leaving nothing but dust. Meanwhile, Angy experienced increasingly vivid and frequent visions that she now believes are instructions regarding Gustav, while the remaining group learned of the resistance's complete failure and debated their next move against the deities.

The volume of their voices escalated.

Mutual accusations were hurled across the room.

Falco pleaded for a tactical retreat, while Aildris insisted on searching for ancient relics. Elevora focused on salvaging whatever remained, but others were adamant about making an escape.

There was no consensus, no solidarity, and no clear path forward.

It was a relentless, exhausting cycle that refused to break.

Angy, however, was barely conscious of the noise.

Her vision began to blur.

The long table seemed to distort and stretch before her eyes.

The shouting voices became warped and unrecognizable.

Once again, she was pulled into a vision.

But this occurrence was unlike the others.

There were no broken fragments this time.

There was no hazy distortion.

Everything was perfectly clear.

As the vision finally released its grip, her heart hammered violently against her ribs.

Her breathing was heavy, and a visible tremor took hold of her hands.

Around her, the others remained oblivious, their heated debate continuing without pause.

Then, something inside her finally broke.

She rose from her seat so suddenly that the chair let out a piercing screech as it was shoved back.

The sharp sound sliced through the cacophony like a blade.

"SHUT UP!" she cried out at the top of her lungs.

Angy’s chest heaved with rapid breaths, her eyes burning with an intensity that none of them had ever witnessed before.

Though her voice wasn't deafening, the entire room fell into an immediate, stunned silence.

Every person turned to look at her as the chamber became deathly quiet.

Even E.E wore an expression of pure shock.

Angy’s hands were balled into tight fists at her sides.

"All of you!" her voice wavered with emotion as she spoke. "You keep bickering as if this were some tactical exercise, as if we haven't already lost everything!"

No one dared to cut her off.

For the first time since the death of Gustav, Angy had found her voice.

And the weight of it was felt by everyone present.

She swallowed hard, feeling her pulse thrumming against the fabric wrapped around her midsection.

"I…"

Her voice cracked, but she quickly steadied herself.

"I believe I know a way to bring Gustav back."

The silence that followed crashed over the room like a massive tidal wave.

Endric’s eyes grew wide with disbelief.

Ria froze, her breath caught in her throat.

Falco instinctively straightened his posture.

E.E’s mouth hung open in shock.

Aildris turned pale as a ghost.

For several long seconds, the room was frozen in time.

Then—

"How?" several voices demanded simultaneously.

Angy let out a shaky breath.

The image of an ancient, masculine figure composed of cosmic light whispered in the depths of her mind once more.

She took a determined step forward.

"It is my bloodline," Angy explained softly. "The Universal Enlightenment bloodline… it isn’t merely a speed-based power. I have suspected this for some time, but I didn’t truly grasp its depth until just now."

"Are you suggesting your bloodline has the power to resurrect the dead?" E.E asked in a low whisper.

"No," Angy replied firmly. "It cannot raise the dead. Not in a normal sense. Not through traditional means."

She pressed her hand over her heart.

"But it can… bridge the gap between different planes of existence."

A wave of confusion swept through the gathered group.

Angy’s voice grew more stable as she continued.

"Two years ago, during our visit to the Oasis where we connected with our bloodline predecessors… I met someone. Only one individual. He didn’t say much, but he gave me a message that I chose to ignore back then."

She took a moment to swallow.

"He explained that my bloodline wasn't just about speed. It was linked to the universe itself. To the cosmic strings. To destiny. To… the very beginning of things."

Endric’s gaze sharpened.

"You never mentioned this to us."

Angy wrapped her arms around herself. "I didn’t understand what it meant. I still don't fully. But lately…"

She looked up at them.

"I have been receiving visions."

The atmosphere in the room grew tense.

"What do you see in these visions?" Elevora inquired gently.

"In these visions," Angy said slowly, "a path is revealed. A specific process. It is something that can pull Gustav back from the edge—from the void where the Outworldly essence vanishes when its host perishes."

She paused momentarily.

"And something… deep inside me is reacting to these visions."

Her fingers grazed her abdomen for the briefest of moments.

Fortunately, the gesture went unnoticed by the others.

She forced her hands back to her sides.

"It’s as if my bloodline is trying to answer. As if… it possesses memories of things I have never been taught."

Sersi leaned in closer. "Angy… are you saying your bloodline is capable of tracking Gustav’s outworldly essence?"

"Yes," she confirmed. "But only to an extent. I can reach out to it… but I lack the strength to pull him back on my own."

"What is required then?" Falco asked.

Angy inhaled deeply, her breath trembling.

"…A bridge."

Confusion was etched on their faces.

"A bridge connecting life to the void," Angy elaborated. "A stabilizer to guide Gustav’s essence back into reality. Something that anchors him to the universe… something that can call out to him."

Her heart gave a painful throb.

And within her womb… a faint, pulsing warmth responded.

The others couldn't be told.

Not yet.

"This bridge… this anchor…" Angy whispered, "is something I can manifest. Using my bloodline."

"That should be an impossibility," Xanatus grumbled.

Angy tilted her chin up defiantly.

"I share a connection with Gustav. One that goes beyond mere biology or bloodlines."

She kept the full extent of that connection hidden.

She didn't reveal that a new life, created by both of them, was currently growing inside her.

That secret remained locked away behind her ribs.

E.E began to pace the floor. "Give it to us straight. What is the plan?"

Angy shut her eyes.

"The procedure is fraught with danger," she stated softly. "It could put my life at risk."

The room went cold.

Falco shook his head aggressively. "Absolutely not. Angy, we will NOT permit you to be put in harm's way!"

"I didn't say it was a certainty," she countered. "I said it was a possibility. There is a distinction."

"Not a reassuring one!" Sersi snapped back.

"Angy, you are one of the last of us! Gustav would never want you to take such a risk," Aildris pointed out.

"Well, he isn’t exactly here to voice his opinion, is he?" Angy retorted with a flash of annoyance.

A heavy silence fell over them.

Finally, Endric spoke in a low, somber tone.

"What exactly must your bloodline accomplish?"

Angy looked him straight in the eye.

"It must link the essences... and then I must rechannel Gustav’s outworldly energy into myself to facilitate his restoration."

"By what means?" Endric pushed for more detail.

"Through resonance," she explained.

Angy placed her palm over her chest, feeling her heart beat in a triple rhythm—her own… and another’s.

"My bloodline can synchronize with the universal pulse. It can project a frequency that Gustav’s essence will recognize…"

A faint smile touched Angy’s lips.

E.E squinted at her suspiciously. "Why are you only telling us this now?"

"Because the visions are becoming more vivid," Angy said. "Our time is fading. We must act immediately or face the extinction of the universe."

A breathless, tense silence permeated the chamber.

"And you are certain your bloodline is the solution?" Falco questioned.

"Yes," Angy replied, though it was only a half-truth.

It was indeed the key, but it wasn't the only one.

Within her, a small and fragile life stirred in a manner she couldn't yet comprehend. Her child was tied to Gustav in a way nothing else in the cosmos could match.

A remnant spark of the Outworldly. A living beacon...

Her bloodline would provide the gateway.

But the child…

The child would be the one to guide him home.

She would NEVER disclose that to them.

E.E finally let out a long breath. "If there is even a one percent chance… it’s far better than the zero we’ve been facing."
