Alzara's flush intensified, creeping from her face along her neck. She attempted to shoot him a fierce stare, yet it fell flat because her lower lip quivered just a bit. “To my... my will,” she at last forced out. “I’m a formidable enchantress, and I’ll turn you into a slave bound to my will.”
Damon's smirk grew broader. “Oh, really?” He moved under her form, drawing a sharp intake of breath from Alzara as the firm bulge of his excitement nudged solidly against her center. The scant material of their garments offered scant barrier to the feeling.
“A slave, you claim? That seems... delightful. However, you’ll need to prove yourself an exceptionally convincing enchantress, my sweet. Victory won’t come quite so effortlessly.”
“I can manage it, and I will triumph,” Alzara murmured, her fingers drifting from his shoulders to weave into the locks at the back of his neck. “You’ve got no clue.” Her gaze sparkled with desire, her full breasts lifting and dropping rhythmically.
Damon's palms, previously settled loosely on her hips, glided higher. Their warmth followed the curve of her ribs before stopping right below the curve of her bosom. He sensed the rapid, erratic thump of her pulse under his fingers.
“Prior to going any deeper, there’s another matter I must discuss with you. While all I’ve shared so far is utterly truthful, my visit today wasn’t meant to claim you. That unfolded on its own.”
Alzara's expression shifted in an instant, alarm flashing in her eyes.
Damon noticed it right away.
He adjusted his position, lifting one hand to cradle her face, his thumb stroking softly along her jawline. “Hey. Hear me out,” he murmured softly. “This isn’t me backing off.” She gulped. “...Then what’s going on?”
“It’s about the moment,” he replied candidly. “Poor timing.”
“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’d have claimed you sooner or later, no question. The intention was always to make you mine. That hasn’t altered, but I hurried here today for a different purpose.”
Damon proceeded to detail the unique occurrence and his urgent need to gather numerous territories on a short-term basis.
Her eyebrows furrowed. “That seems... absurd, frankly. How can your foes pull off something like that? It’s utterly implausible. The kingdoms of the light faction aren’t to be trifled with, particularly those ancient rulers. Those monarchs would cling to their authority even from beyond the grave. How on earth did they extract it from them?”
Alzara refrained from probing further on the event. It appeared she’d brushed it aside conveniently, much like when Damon had brought up their origins from separate realms.
“It is absurd,” Damon conceded. “Yet I’m certain it’s real. I dealt a massive setback to the super guilds not long ago, yet no retaliation has followed. Only one explanation fits their quietness. They’ve been fixated on the Golden Throne event from the start. Should they seize success there, handling me might no longer trouble them.”
“I understand...” Alzara inclined her head. “So you arrived to bargain with my father. Do you intend to tackle the leftover hidden orders?”
“Yes.” Damon affirmed with a nod. “Pretty much.”
“But why bother with such a circuitous approach? Simply request it from my father outright. Leverage me.”
Damon grinned and denied it with a shake of his head. “I’d have to be a true scoundrel to pull that off.”
Alzara dismissed it with a shake of her own. “You’re missing the point. This is my opportunity. Your other consorts are fallen angels and exceptional elven prodigies. I can’t rival them. But through this, I can offer you what they can’t. I’ll elevate you to Emperor of the Great Western Desert Empire!”
Damon found himself at a loss for words. “That’s no minor gift you’re proposing. Your father won’t surrender the throne merely because his daughter flashes a smile.”
Alzara responded with a keen, assured smile. “No. He’ll yield it because it’s the sole path to preserving the empire.”
She bent closer, her brow meeting his. “The hidden orders are already eroding the base. The abyss lurks nearby. The light faction has fractured, with many scheming to dominate the rest. Adding to the chaos, the dark faction has seeped into our territories. And to top it off, our court teems with betrayers. My father will choose wisely.”
Damon stayed quiet briefly before yielding. “Only a brazen jerk would seize such a proposal from a frail, exposed woman, exploiting her vulnerability. I suppose I’m bold enough to play that jerk.”
Alzara let out a light laugh. “I recommend you seize a few more benefits while you’re at it.” She grasped Damon’s hands and guided them upward to her chest. Damon gazed at her while his thumbs grazed the tips of her nipples, now rigid and pressing through the sheer cloth of her top. A quick breath burst from her, her spine curving naturally toward his caress, molding herself tighter into his grasp.
His palms pressed on with expert motion, squeezing and stroking, each contact sparking surges of bliss right to her depths. “Damon...” Alzara sighed. Her digits let go of his arms, clutching instead at his shirt’s material, drawing him nearer.
His touch grew more daring, one hand trailing down her flank to seize her hip, yanking her snug against the solid length of his desire, as the other lingered to tease her bosom, his digits pinching her nipple via the fabric. Then he tugged one free from the loose gown that veiled her to draw a taut nipple between his lips. He suckled firmly, his teeth grazing lightly over the tender flesh, igniting another rush of molten warmth gathering between her legs. His free hand persisted with the unattended breast as he drew her in tighter and claimed her mouth, thrusting his tongue within.
“Your tits are marvelous.” Right when he prepared to tear away her remaining attire and savor the alluring, wicked form, the chamber door suddenly flew wide. At the threshold stood the emperor himself, his features twisted in discomfort.
