Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 952 - 949: Target
Before his condition reached such a state, Corey had used his Eyes of Omniscience to scout the last location where Kiefer told all of them a herb was located, and to his surprise, he did not only see a question, he saw an encampment of over a hundred soldiers.
These soldiers were of various factions, organizations, and groups, and they all had different positions at the edge of the grassy plains of the Chained Firmament.
Although one might not know at first, Corey could see it from his Eyes of Omniscience that these factions had created a border that would not allow one to easily move from the grassy plains to region of Colossal Trees and vice versa.
When he saw the border that they had made, he became baffled for several reasons.
The first question he had in his mind, was why they created a border.
The second question was why there were so many factions in the creation of the border.
The third question was how they had gotten to the grassy plains so quickly since he knew that these Outsiders would have appeared in another part of the Chained Firmament due to their location on New Earth, and the Chain of Sovereignty they climbed.
And the fourth question he had in his mind was how the group of vampires he had indirectly killed were able to know the location of the Celestial Dewfern.
The number of vampires in the group and the tiers of the vampires were extremely high for it to be just a coincidence that their destination was the top of the ridge where the Celestial Dewfern had been.
Corey shifted his gaze to the colossal trees, and although his gaze was not as sharp as it used to be because he overexerted himself by using the illusion ability of his Tri-Pupil Eyes on more than a dozen Tier 6s and Tier 5s, and most importantly, on an Immortal.
Fooling the senses of an Immortal with the power of illusory as a Tier 3 was an extremely difficult feat even for Corey, and the funny part of it to him was that he did not put Azimuth himself in an illusion.
He only used his Tri-Pupil Eyes to create an illusion of the Celestial Dewfern and to make everything about it as real as possible.
He did not dare to put Azimuth in an illusion since he was fairly certain that he would notice something odd, and he would eventually realize that he was the source of the illusion.
A little bit of luck played into his hands when at the end of the day, Azimuth never even held the Celestial Dewfern or attempted to consume it because if that happened, he would have immediately sensed that something was off, and once he used his Immortal senses to observe the Celestial Dewfern, he would realize that what he was holding was nothing at all.
It was purely illusion, and he would eventually connect the dots to him. But with the death of Raj, and Raj’s last display of madness to destroy the Celestial Dewfern so that Azimuth could not use it, he had indirectly prevented Corey and the others from facing a disaster.
And the reason why all of these was possible was because of one thing... Luck.
----
Luck: 22, 311 -> 20, 118
----
A karmic luck of two thousand, one hundred and ninety three (2,193) was deducted from his total karmic luck, and Corey knew that it was not a little amount.
After having this thought as he neared the border of the grassy plains and the region of the colossal trees, he went back to his previous thoughts of the reason behind the encampment.
