Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 939 - 936: Picking Herbs (3)
Just as Corey had this thought, the black liquid-like energy he gathered into his right hand expanded and elongated.
A second later, a pure black scythe that seemed to be made out of black bones and was also a head taller than Corey appeared beside him.
Corey looked at it, and observed it for a moment. The black bones reminded Corey of the crown wore, and he wondered if the two of them were made out of the same materials.
Then there was the blade of the scythe. Despite it being made out of bones, Corey could feel a sharpness that even made him to feel like he would be cut with ease if he was at the receiving end of the scythe.
Corey thought with intrigue, and then he let go of the scythe. His telekinesis held it, and the moment he did, he narrowed his eyes.
He felt a power from the scythe attempting to destroy his Will that held the scythe. If not for the fact that his Will was Undying, he had a feeling that he would have suffered serious injuries to his Will if it was not strong enough.
Corey furrowed his brows slightly as he kept on feeling the resistance of the scythe.
His eyes flashed, and he exerted more of his Will on the scythe. Its resistance reduced, and Corey shook his head softly.
Corey raised his hand slightly, and his telekinesis raised the scythe. He poured more mana into scythe, and the scythe enlarged in the blink of an eye.
Corey lowered his hand, and the scythe was swung.
The bellows of pain from the silver-horned red bull stopped, and three seconds later, the bull fell in two halves.
Blood splashed all over, and the intestines of the silver-horned red bull fell out and stained the already blood-stained ground.
Corey deactivated the skill, and then he approached the corpse of the silver-horned red bull.
He glanced at the cut his scythe had made and touched it for a few seconds before removing his hand and storing it in his Tri-Pupil Eyes.
After doing that, he shifted his gaze to his right where the Crimson Orchid could be seen.
He looked at Kiefer. "Kiefer. You came come pick the crimson orchid."
"Alright." Kiefer nodded, and then he quickly approached the high grade 5 herb with slightly trembling hands.
He rarely got to touch and deal with grade 5 herbs since they were so rare on New Earth. Seeing one and having the opportunity to carefully uproot a grade 5 herb without damaging it was something he knew would not be a regular occurrence once they go back to New Earth.
A smile appeared on Kiefer’s lips as he carefully uprooted the Crimson Orchid.
Corey watched Kiefer as he uprooted the crimson orchid with skill and precision. He could the same, and he could it at a faster pace, but he knew that there was a difference between him doing it and Kiefer doing it.
He looked at the smile on Kiefer’s lips, and he nodded slightly.
The sound of a branch snapped drifted into his ears, but Corey’s gaze was still on Kiefer. He didn’t bother to look at the source of the sound since he already knew who it was.
"I thought that you were going to keep on standing behind Selene and Willow."
Pamela paused and looked at Corey with a strange light in her eyes.
"That scythe... What is it?"
Corey glanced at her, and looked away after seeing that Kiefer was done uprooting the Crimson Orchid.
"It’s a skill."
Pamela frowned deeply with a pondering light in her eyes.
"But... how did you get a skill like that? And how are you able to use a skill like that in the first place... It’s too dangerous and powerful."
Corey took the crimson orchid from Kiefer, stored it in his Tri-Pupil Eyes, and then he walked past Pamela.
"It’s none of your business actually." He replied indifferently as he walked past her, and then he stood beside Serene and Willow. Kiefer stood in front of him.
Corey held Kiefer’s shoulders, and Selene and Willow held his arms.
Void Force pulsed around him, and without waiting for Pamela to ask him any questions, he vanished.
Only three seconds had gone by from the moment Kiefer stood in front of Corey, and Pamela’s mind was filled with a lot of thoughts.
One was about Corey’s skill.
And the other was about ways to get back at Corey for everything he had done.
Pamela’s eyes flashed with a cunning silver light, and then she took a step forward and vanished.
----
Approximately twenty minutes later, Corey, Pamela, Kiefer, Selene, and Willow all stood before the ridge that had the Celestial Dewfern in it.
