Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 909 - 906: Chained Earth

~3 minute read · 858 words

Corey stopped moving and stared at the golden eye that had appeared in the sky.

The golden eye had an unfathomable presence, and if not for the fact that he had met the Paragon Ancestor who was even more unfathomable, he was certain that he would be feeling like he was staring at the eye of a god.

Corey wondered how the Universal System was planning on dealing with the continental sized landmass.

Was it going to destroy it?

Was it going to isolate it by creating a unique dimension around it?

Was it going to send it out of the planet?

Was it going to gently lower it on the ground?

Just as Corey had these thoughts, the golden eye in the sky released a blinding golden light that engulfed the entire landmass in the sky.

The curses and grunts of the beasts, monsters, and humans around him drifted into his ears as the golden light took everybody, including him, by surprise.

They all squinted their eyes, and some tried to take a look at the golden eye. However, they suddenly screamed because their minds, spirits, and souls got damaged from looking at something they were not meant to look at.

Even Corey had to deactivate his Eyes of Omniscience the moment the golden eyes was about to release the glow. He could feel his instincts warning him t not look at the golden eye in the sky despite wanting to.

Although the urge to do what he wanted was extremely strong, he chose to listen to his instincts which was rarely wrong.

Some moments later, the earth shook, and from the corner of his eye, he saw the golden light coalescing at multiple locations.

He looked at one of the locations, and he saw that the golden light was forming a titanic golden chain.

Corey narrowed his eyes, and with his arm shielding his eyes, he shifted his gaze to another location where the golden light was gathering.

He saw another titanic chain being formed.

He turned his head, and he saw another one.

He looked up slightly, and he instantly felt a stinging sensation in his eyes when his gaze reached a particular point.

He looked down.

A calculating glint flashed in Corey’s eyes as he stared at the ground. There was another reason why he was okay with the actions of the system.

The Book of Death.

Although it was extremely faint, he could still sense the book from the continental sized landmass for some reason.

Although his senses were strong, Corey knew that he was not meant to be able to perceive the aura of the book because of how high up the landmass was and also how massive it was.

However, for some strange reason, he could still sense it... albeit faintly.

Although this reason sounded absurd to him, he had a feeling that he was right.

The golden light from the golden eye suddenly dimmed, and Corey cautiously looked up after making sure that his instincts were not sending him any warning signals.

Just as he expected, the continental sized landmass was anchored in the sky by titanic golden chains.

With how massive the golden chains were, he was certain that the golden chains could be seen from anywhere in the world.

There were exactly twelve golden chains, and each of these chains were anchored in several locations on New Earth.

Just as Corey had this thought, a green glow blitzed across the sky and approached the continent sized landmass from below.

In the next moment, more lights flew toward the bound landmass from below, and the sjt was suddenly filled with almost a thousand lights.

Gasps and exclaims of disbelief from the humans around him drifted into his ears, but his expression remained the same.

Indifferent.

He calmly folded his arms and stared at the lights which were actually Mystic Beings on New Earth that were attempting to approach the chained terrain in the sky before any other person.

In their minds, the first person to reach the landmass would surely have an advantage over the others.

A landmass as huge as continent suddenly fell from the sky and it won’t have treasures or opportunities?

None of them would believe this if somebody told them so.

They all believed that the terrain above them was a land of opportunity that had been given to them by the Universal System itself.

Why else would it intervene?

This was not the only reason why some believed that the chained earth above was a land of opportunities.

Some people already heard news that some of what had been falling from the sky was not just stone and rocks, but treasures.

Powerful treasures.

They all believed that the treasures originated from the chained terrain, and if that was true... Just how many treasures could be found on the continental sized landmass above?

As murmurs and whispers flew about, a scream shook everybody, and they all looked at the sky.

The green light that had approached the terrain first was now red, and this was because the individual was no more.

More followed.
