Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 1151 - 1148: Consequences

Previously on Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon...
After devouring the Heavenly Executor, the sentient weapon and armor duo, Primus and Prima, find themselves surrounded by gods intent on capturing or destroying them. When these deities turn their threats toward the unconscious Corey, Prima undergoes a terrifying transformation, slaughtering half a dozen gods in a sudden rain of blood. Amidst the carnage, Pamela carries Corey into the mysterious Forge for healing while the remaining gods watch in stunned silence. Now perched atop the silver structure, the two powerful constructs stand guard, vowing to kill anyone who dares to approach their creator.

A tense atmosphere gripped the New Earthlings, the Outsiders, and the gods alike for three full days following the Heavenly Executor’s annihilation.

None of the deities dared to approach the Forge because of Prima and Primus's presence, leaving the entire world to speculate whether Corey had survived the ordeal.

Despite the desires of Divine, Rosa, and Anna to rush to the Forge and check on Corey’s status, Pamela intervened and forbade them.

Revealing their connection to Corey was far too perilous; any god might seize the opportunity to take one of them as a hostage.

Had Corey not been rendered unconscious and teetering on the edge of death from his fall, Pamela would have preferred to stay concealed within the Forge.

Discovery was inevitable eventually, but she hadn't expected it to happen so soon, especially while Corey was in such a vulnerable state.

In the meantime, the gods were forced to retreat, leaving Corey and his guardians, Primus and Prima, undisturbed.

This withdrawal was not by choice, but a necessity born of fear, as Prima and Primus possessed the power to slaughter them all.

The surviving gods eventually realized that those among them who had perished were the ones who harbored ill intent or plans to kidnap Corey.

Those who remained alive had only voiced their desire to claim Prima and Primus for themselves; that distinction alone was the reason for their survival.

Once it became clear that Corey would not be waking up within a single day, the gods inhabiting temples on New Earth returned to their sanctuaries.

The physical forms of their Incarnations had been pushed far beyond their natural capacities.

While this resulted in benefits for the hosts—as the gods were forced to reinforce their foundations and physiques—it came at a significant price for the deities themselves.

Their prolonged stay on New Earth was draining; to ensure their incarnations didn't perish and to avoid the skyrocketing costs of remaining on the planet, they had to depart.

Even so, their focus remained fixed on New Earth, never wavering for a moment.

They commanded their followers and incarnations to report any new developments regarding Corey and his powerful creations immediately.

Among the New Earthlings, the aftermath of the event sparked a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

While many spoke in awe of Corey’s overwhelming Cultivation and strength, others viewed him with dread, particularly with the Progenitor War looming on the horizon.

It was common knowledge that the Universal System and New Earth would inevitably nominate Corey as a Progenitor Candidate; if he entered the fray, what hope did the others have of winning?

This concern dominated the conversations of organizations and individuals heavily invested in the Progenitor War, leaving many with grim expressions.

Conversely, some began composing epics, singing ballads, and creating video montages of the heaven-shaking conflict.

Corey became an enigma everyone wanted to solve—some sought to worship him, some were driven by simple curiosity, and others were fueled by pure hatred.

This hatred didn't always stem from the threat of his power, but rather from the collateral damage his actions caused.

Millions of New Earthlings had been killed or maimed during Corey’s struggle against the Tribulations.

For many victims, the cause of their suffering wasn't Corey’s direct strikes, but the resulting shockwaves, tremors, cyclones, tsunamis, and the frenzied beast and monster hordes triggered by the battle.

Unable to direct their fury at the Heavens or the Heavenly Executor, they turned their blame toward Corey, with some fools even beginning to plot their vengeance.

While many suffered in silence over their lost kin, others, unable to endure the grief, chose to end their own lives.

Beyond the staggering loss of life, the very geography of New Earth had been transformed.

Gaping craters and massive fissures stretching hundreds of kilometers scarred the land, while countless structures lay in ruins from the earthquakes and disasters birthed by Corey’s clash with the heavens.

The terrestrial and aquatic landscapes were unrecognizable; only those organizations protected by elite experts, powerful formations, and high-tier items managed to remain unscathed.

Slowly, however, observers noticed that some of the deep chasms and pits on New Earth were beginning to seal themselves.

The raging oceans grew still, and lingering tornadoes that had persisted for over a day started to fade away.

But these were not the only changes occurring across the globe.

Vast numbers of monsters and beasts, guided by instincts superior to humans, had fled their territories to escape the zones most devastated by the heavenly battle.

This mass migration triggered sudden beast hordes that slaughtered many people who were caught off guard.

Furthermore, the barriers of several dungeons that were already weakening shattered prematurely, plunging various regions into even deeper chaos and peril.

Normally, New Earth would have utilized its essence to stabilize these dungeon barriers, but the planet was currently diverting most of its power to mend the damage from Corey's war with the Heavens.

This was a reality that most people failed to grasp.

Were it not for the intervention of the Universal System and the fact that New Earth was a unique Blessed World, the duel between Corey and the Heavens would have likely shattered the planet into fragments.

Had those same attacks been unleashed in deep space, they would have annihilated thousands of stars and devastated entire sectors of the universe.

That was the true scale of the terror, yet it had been suppressed to less than one percent of its potential destruction.

Nevertheless, the reality remained: millions suffered, and it served as a brutal wake-up call regarding the heights of power a single person could reach.

Individuals like Jeremy Draker and his cohorts were among those deeply affected by this realization.

In the wake of the planetary upheaval, New Earthlings found themselves bombarded with more quests than ever before.

For the average person, the rewards offered by these quests were incredibly enticing.

While some missions were fraught with danger, many focused on the restoration of the world.

Meanwhile, Progenitor Candidates were assigned far more grueling tasks in an attempt to bring balance back to the planet.

The competition for a Progenitor Candidate position intensified, and the battles grew increasingly violent.

What the inhabitants of New Earth did not yet realize was that this was merely the opening act.

New Earth was destined to become a world that would shake the foundations of the entire universe and beyond.

And the man responsible for it all finally opened his eyes on the third day after the Heavenly Executor’s fall.
